Adobe Media Encoder

The latest version of Google Chrome doesn't allow for activation of Flash by the user.  Thus users cannot receive the broadcast thru Flash Media Encoder anymore.  Edge browser seems to have the same problem.  What is the future of the encoder app when flash is no longer supported even by Adobe?

I set up in AE render queue a Apple ProRes 4444 render and send it to AME. AME changes the ProRes 4444 to GoPro CineForm or H.264 or something else that I didn't choose. Anytime I send a render to AME from AE it changes the format and preset I set in AE. So I'm pretty new to after effects and for my first project I've done some kinetic typography. When I render in Adobe Media Encoder, all my 3d layers just don't show up in my render. Just black. I'm using ray-tracing renderer at 1080p 60fps. I'm using the default render settings (h.264 [mp.4] match source). None of my layers are "guide layers". I'm using the latest version of AE on windows. My pc has a i5 and a gtx 1070. All the 2d pre comps show up fine, just not the 3d ones. I could really use some help. Thanks!

Hey Forums, So the clip in question is:A 4k ( 2160x3840) 25p clip from a new DJI Mavic 2 pro, its 31 seconds long, and 375MB in size.The file plays all the way through smooth and fine in both VLC and windows media player so the file isnt corrupt.How ever when ever I import it into premiere CC it doesnt work, wont preview, cant scan over it etc. If I put the clip into the media encoder, either the latest 2018 version, or the older 2017 version, it will load in fine, and no matter which output file I select it converts through to about 10 percent, then stops. It doesnt crash right away, but just hits a wall. Then if I try and stop the conversion then it crashes and I need to force quit the program. I tried doing a convertionin VLC and it goes right through and makes a new copy of the file, but when I import the new one it has the same issue as the origonal. Any answers on what might the issue ?Thanks,Jacob

What is the smallest format when exporting via Media Encoder?I hava used h264,adaptive low bitrate.

When encoding a Prores master, should I choose 8 bpc or 16 bpc?  Is the 16 bpc worth the extra time it takes to encode?  There is a noticeable difference in the video image quality?

Can Adobe Media Encoder or Adobe After Effects somehow export 34 fps (or any unusual number in general)? (also i would need it to be 2560 x 1440 in size).I know working on a project in 34 fps seems odd in general but i have my reasons and now that it's done it would be hard changing that. I tried rendering it in 30 fps and there are a number of glitches occuring because of that.

Is there a way to specify proxies on or off when rendering an AE doc in Media encoder?Currently they default on it seems.

I'm running CC 2017 still since 2018 is worthless... but what's this now??? I can't export with Media Encoder without video freezing? The time keeps counting, but I can see the frame in the window never change... there is never an error, it never stops on it's own... it just sits there like the piece of garbage that it is.Is this a ploy to get the people still using 2017 to update? Or is the software just broken and overpriced... oops answered my own question.BTW, premiere is having trouble exporting a sequence properly as well.On the bright side, let's hope this is the end for Adobe... it's time we all pay for something that actually works, don't you think?

hello, i have having an issue where i export my video to encoder and it encodes it but only showed 2 out of the 16 mins of the video and 7 of the 16 mins the second time i encoded it why wont it show up it takes like and hour nd a half to encode the videos and its annoying

I know this is a frequently recurring topic however none of the dozens of posts I've trawled through shed any light on my issue unfortunately. It is not related to my display, or the viewing app, or web player showing the media.I have a comp in After Effects CC 15.1.2, in a project set to sRGB color profileWhen I render the AE comp to an MP4 via AME DynamicLink, the colors are very slightly less contrasty, and slightly brighter in general than that of the comp.However when I render the comp to a MOV in the After Effects render panel, then convert it to MP4 using AME with the exact same preset, the color is accurate to the original AE comp. I found an old staff post about DynamicLink not handling color profiles from AE, however it was updated in 2015 to say now it does, yet it doesn't seem to be true for me...LEFT: Rendered within After Effects to .mov ProRes 422, then converted in AME to .mp4 (accurate to AE comp color)RIGHT: Rendered to .mp4 from AfterEffects in AME using DynamicLink

I have 104 Premiere pro sequences of 10 minutes, that I need to be able to encode through media encoder.I queue one in Media Encoder and start encoding. Hi,I shortened a video using Adobe Video Encoder, but I need the AUDIO to fade out starting from around 3 seconds from the "new" end. Can this be done?

I have an H264-encoded video (.mp4), 1920 x 1080, output from PremierePro/Media Encoder 2018 on Mac.  Client also wants a Windows Media (.wmv) version in 12080 x 720.  ASFAIK, I can't output that on my Mac, so I imported the .mp4 output from the Mac into Media Encoder 2018 Windows.  Selected the Windows Media preset, and in Basic Video Settings changed frame size to 1280 x 720 (other settings: Codec - Windows Media Video 9; VBR 2-pass constrained). Encoding fails.Am able to transcode to .wmv if frame size is same (1920 x 1080) as original.  After transcoding successfully to original size, I tried transcoding to smaller size again.  Now, Encoder "thinks" it has transcoded the entire 5:29 video in about 1/2 second -- but there is no file actually created.I can go back and output a resized file on the Mac side, I suppose, then encode at same size on Windows machine -- but shouldn't Media Encoder Win be able to resize the frame?? Firstly , I sorry for my English in advance .I am a newbie when come to After effect and media encoder - pretty much just learning via Youtube videos, I try to make some perfect loop gif and I have stumble upon this problems since yesterday . My gif via preview is just fine, both in AE and encoder but the problems is my export . I only touch on width and height options to make the gifs smaller (first time I do gif it weight up to 45 mb) , aside from that my only option is match source . Greetings.  I am a long-time AME and Prem Pro user and I have never, ever had encoding failures.  On slow computers, fast computers, SD, HD, 4K.  Never.   Maybe I have been lucky?Anyway, working on several projects now and only queuing up 1 or 2 renders at a time.  And I usually don't do any heavy Premiere Pro work while rendering, but I might do something in there or in another program.  Now, it appears if I breath on the computer I get a failure.  In fact overnight I got one which I would have never expected as the computer was doing nothing else.I can reset and re-render and it has worked but it is concerning.  These were 2 totally different projects, different media, etc.  What if the next time I can't get it to render at all?I do use CUDA acceleration and of course if it continues, I know I can turn it off. I am using and i7-based windows 10 machine.I am just wondering if there is something else "new" going on here with AME? 

Anyone seen this error before? Have re installed Premiere  and Media Encoder CC. Hi -I'm a total newbie with Premier and Media Encoder.  I've tried searching for a similar topic but haven't found one so asking here.I'm just trying to convert a video from .mov to AVI (uncompressed).  My issue is that after exporting, the height and width of the video have changed.The source video is 640x360.  After export, the new video is 720x480.In the Media Encoder CC 2018 Export Settings, if I try to reduce the w:h from 720:480 to 640:360, the values I enter are immediately reverted and not accepted.I have also tried selecting "change output size to match source" for Source Scaling, but the new file is still created at 720x480.Is there some way that I can convert this video and maintain the original source scale?Any help is greatly appreciated.Thanks,- Sal

So, I just made a quick loop animation in AE and when i try to render it as a GIF with AME, it gets kinda choppy. In both the AE preview and the AME render preview, the gif looks normal. The mp4 version is looking fine, too. I tried desabling and re-enabling the GPU acceleration in AME but i doesn't change a thing. Maybe i'm dumb and skipping something obvious? Idk. I just installed Media Encoder from the desktop CC program. It installed smoothly, but when I tried to open it, the splash screen flashed for half a second then disappeared. AME then proceeded to crash. I am on a MacBook with High Sierra 10.13.4.

I'm editing .mov in Premiere CC2018 and encoding with Media Encoder CC 2018. I've been getting random periods of black video on my H264 exports.....sometimes video will go black for a few minutes and then come back. Audio in unchanged.....Any idea what could be causing this......thanks, Claude
