I've been trying to export a wedding project with extensive use of the neat video plug-in, more specifically the noise remover due to the gain I used at the wedding. The majority of the 1.5 hour video has this plug-in, and therefore rendering times are sitting at about 8 hours. But when I export to AME, it fails at different points. At first, it would force my PC to restart and give a "memory management error" despite me allocating 26GB of my 32GB RAM, and having almost 1TB of space on the SSD I was exporting to. I decided to go into my Adobe cache files in AppData and clear the cache out, giving me about 30GB of C drive space, then restarting the export. This seemed to solve the computer reset issue, but the encoding still fails. Last night it failed at about 80% of the way through, and tonight it failed again about half way through the ~8 hour estimate AME gives. I wasn't here to see the error, but when I came back to my PC the program had shut down and the video it produced just ends a
Rendering with Mercury Software only is way faster than CUDA in Media encoder. What could probably the reason ?System Build :i7 8700k64 gb ram1080ti gtx2 tb NVME ssdIm very confused. i just noticed this , after hearing something from another friend who also facing the same .
Hi!I'm trying to add an After Effects project to the AME queue via scripting, but keep getting import errors. The weirdest thing, is that I can add the same project manually without any problems! My project has only one Comp on the root, and everything else inside a folder. When I import it manually I get to choose the comp and it works great. When I try to import the same project using ExtendScript I get this:the code I'm testing:var fend = app.getFrontend();var ech = app.getEncoderHost();var exp = app.getExporter();//Input project filevar cmp = "/Users/valerialaura/Desktop/testingstuff.aep";//AME preset exported to the desktop for later bundlingvar pst = "/Users/valerialaura/Desktop/simple_preset.epr"; //Output files without extensionsvar out = "/Users/valerialaura/Desktop/AME_rendering";fend.addCompToBatch(cmp,pst,out);Any ideas as to what could be happening here?I also couldn't find documentation on AME scripting, so building over other forum answers and some poking around on ESTK.Than

Im attempting to export a 52 minute recording from Adobe Character Animator. I've tried sending it through Premiere and directly through character animator and everytime it says its going to take 4-5 hours. ive even tried clipping it down to 26 minutes in premiere and it still takes that long. normally i wouldn't complain but now, evertime it gets close to the end, it stops. no error message or anything, it just meerly stops encoding and my preview goes all black and the countdown freezes. when exporting the puppet from premiere, the puppet seems to crash because everything on the puppets screen turns into a negative color of the video playing behind it. i viewed my task manager when the freeze was going on and my system memory from adobe character animator cc was also froze at 97% memory usage 10,707.3 mb of usage to be exactmy main questions are how do i fix it so i can export my puppet, and should it be running that slow from just a puppet, its just facial tracking im not doin
Hey everyone,Using CC17 at the moment. Making the jump when I finish up some projects. At the moment I'm dealing with a really annoying issue. Everytime my computer is started up, media cache location defaults to the LR video cache folder. I have no clue why. My scratch folder is located on an internal drive, so it's never removed. What's causing this? On top of that, every time I open a project there's a handful of clips that I have to wait to conform over and over again. It seems to happen specifically to proxy files. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Hey,I have set some audio to -10db in AE which is pretty quiet, but it sounds far louder when rendered out with ME. I've left my volume the same, so it's something to do with AE or ME.Any ideas? Thanks,Dan
When I export the video the audio stops halfway through and then restarts again after 10 seconds. For the video I do not know if it stops since I have a still image. Can anyone help me with this?I am exporting via Adobe Media Encoder and it is set to H.264. It exports as MP4.When I try and publish it directly from Media Encoder it will not upload and publish to youtube even then.
I've been trying to debug the cause of this error. It was reported to me as happening during an export from a Premiere time line. I got as far as loading a source clip into AME and attempting to encode it directly and still received the error. I have tried many different export formats all fail with the same error. I've tried turning the GPU acceleration on and off, without success. It doesn't happen with all clips, so I was about to log a fault with our DAM vendor, I tried analysing the clips but couldn't see anything obviously wrong with them, Premiere CC 2017 even plays them fine and AME CC 2015 does not have any issues exporting these clips. However I'm not that keen on rolling back all of our editing machines. Does anyone have a solution? This is an example log of an error when exporting from Premiere:------------------------------------- - Encoding Time: 00:00:1503/10/2018 03:50:02 PM : Encoding Failed------------------------------------------------------------Export Er
I made a PowerPoint 2016 slide show that needed to be converted to MJPEG so it can display on an HD television. The tv only supports this video format. PowerPoint doesn't support exporting to mjpeg directly so I exported my PPTX file to mp4, hoping I could convert this with Media Encoder. I opened ME but I don't see the mjpeg format in the Format drop-down in the Export Settings. Can anyone recommend a reliable way to convert mp4 over to MJEG?
Hi,I have After Effects 2018 (Version 15) and the latest Media Encoder 2018 (Version 12) installed. When I add to Media encoder queue from AE 2018, it does not link. Same when I try to add a project inside the Media Encoder. The error that is shown is "Could not connect to Adobe After Effects. Please verify that Adobe After Effects and Adobe Dynamic Link components are installed"
I FTP using File > export media. But today am getting this message "FTP of encoded files failed as AME could not connect to the remote server. Please check setting and try again later." Have verified the connection with the Test button, and connection is successfully verified. Have also used these same settings for years with no difficulty. Help!
Whenever I export a sequence longer than 10 minutes a whole bunch of these pop outs com up - like 20 times. Please assist, thanks ahead of time.
Now what?
Hello. I have the latest AE, Premiere, and Media EncoderIf I try to queue anything to Media Encoder, the program crashes. What is the problem?
Hi all!Looks like some kind of CPU management cuts down the CPU load for PProHeadless when it tries to take some of the System's reserved CPU power. At least I suppose so... After hitting about 1250% it gets down to about 300% for 10 seconds and peaks again. Can any of you tell me is it normal, or just a kinda bug?Is there a way to keep it running continuously at about 1100% (which would be totally enough for me) without getting cut down every 10 secs? Thanks a lot!
I have an XT3. I am shooting with the onboard recorder. So uncompressed available. F-Log / 4k / 60fps / H265(HEVC). When I drag that footage into Premiere, it runs slowly. This is not a surprise. As usual, you want convert any of those highly compressed things, so If I use Adobe Media Encoder to transcode from H265 to Apple Pro Res 422, and it converts pretty quick. When you look at that converted footage in Premiere (or in finder), all of the clipped WHITE is interpreted as BLACK. This is very strange. Shame on me for not properly exposing... but it shouldn't do that.If I drag the original HEVC footage into Premiere, the colors are interpreted properly, though it is slow as HEVC. When I transcode the HEVC footage in Premiere to Apple Pro Res, it transcodes properly. So, the bug is in media encoder. The work-around is using Premiere to individually do all your clips. Which is obviously a pain. But this isn't as fast as just the old media encoder drag and drop. So the question is: Is ther
Hi. I´m sending sequences from premiere to AME cc2019. And is very weird to see how little the cpu and gpu are working.I´m in a W10 with128GB RAMNvidia GeForce GTX TITAN Xi7 6950x 3.00GHZI have the CUDA acceleration selected and seams like no effect. Any Ideas about what I can start looking to improve the performance? Thanks!
I am trying to use Adobe Media Encoder to stitch together still images for a stop-motion/animation project. When I drag the folder of frames onto AME, I see this:So I drop it on the right. However, after I do that, the 50 frames animation is 4 minutes and 10 seconds. This is way too long/slow. How do I make each frame 1/30th of a second (if at 30 fps)? Or in any way shorter?I looked into preferences, I changed time tuner, frame rate, nothing worked. It'd be great if AME could make video files from a sequence of frames without having to waste time in AE or Premiere. Thanks
I am having a very similar problem. I am trying to encode 60 seconds worth of After Effects into AME and NOTHING happens. I have tried importing every way you can import. It just sits there and does nothing. It won't go any further. It is a rather uncomplicated file. Nothing fancy in it.
Having serious artifacting issues with anything with an alpha channel overlayed on a video. Rough pixelated black outlines on just the parts using alphas. This is only happening in Media Encoder, exports fine coming out of Premiere. I'd post an image but the parts that have problems are logos and I am not permitted to release that information. Anybody else having this problem?
So is there any news on what the issue actually is?Three months is plenty of time to fix this or at least tell us why it isn't fixed? Or is it just to hard to tell users that PR cannot run ProRes from ExFAT drives? How many users out there just think their machine is running slow? I swapped data between several HD's SSD's and laptops before I identified the issue and came here.Yes, I've adapted my workflow to compensate, but as an editor who has to jump between operating systems, this is quite a frustration.
So i imported an After Effects File into AME and only the folders are showing in the Composition selection menu, i have tried using "Render in AME" in after effects but all that does is crash both application.Title was edited by: mod
I've seen some old posts about this but nothing current. I'm interested in speeding up our rendering with AME by possibly using AWS. All of our current rendering machines are on really old hardware. I'd rather spend the money in AWS than on hardware that will need to be replaced again soon to keep up. We have 10Gb direct connectivity into AWS already so getting our projects files up there would be pretty easy. I'm just not sure if AME would work in AWS, what instance size would be best and what OS would be best to run it on.
Title says it all. Starts and runs fine as long as AFter Effects is not running. Using latest versions (hence the problems).I was waiting for an update to see if it got fixed but I just figured I'd ask. Thanks,
