Hey There, I'm trying to import an .aaf file from avid into media encoder but its not reading the file. In fact is says " .aaf could not be imported. The file format is not supported." When I look at Adobe Media Encoder it says it supports .aaf files. At first I thought it was because my encoder was out of date so I updated it with the latest patch. So far it has fixed nothing. Is there anyone who can help me figure out what I am doing wrong?
Hola!Desde hace unos 3 días me sale este error al intentar abrir Media Encoder. Qué me recomiendan hacer? Saludos
Hi,Recently I noticed that Encoder tends to freeze right before finishing the rendering process. The blue progress bar is at 100% by that time, yet it takes several minutes for the rendering to complete. The Encoder does its job perfectly well, it's just that lag that worries me. This happens only on a machine running Win 10 x64, I never noticed such an issue on a Mac. Is there anything that can possibly be done to eliminate this lag or is it normal behavior?P.S.: Unfortunately I don't have an opportunity to change my output to another physical drive, but changing volumes of the same drive didn't solve the issue.Thanks.
Media Encoder is rendering a full res 1280x720 comp in the upper right corner of the input and output. What's the deal?? I have tried everything I can think of to correct this. It happens randomly but now seems permanent. I have tried different versions of AME, but the problem will not resolve. Can anyone tell me what is going wrong? I can't reach Adobe support without telling them it's an account issue in order to be sent to technical support.
Trying to convert MOV files to MPEG2 for easier use in Premier. The rendered clip frequently glitches out midway through and starts the video back from the beginning. For example in a 2 minute video if the glitch happens at 1:00, I have the first minute of footage played twice but lose the second minute completely. Audio is unaffected. Certain files seems completely unaffected by it, but with others it seems to happen every time.
Hiya,I'm trying to figure out what causes the GPU to be used when encoding H.264 sometimes but not always.I have two systems I use, one is at work with the following basic specs:Dual Xeon E5-2650 V2s (16c 32t total)Quadro K400064GB RAMTwo is at home with the following specs:Ryzen 1600 (6c 12t)GTX 9708GB RAM (yes... I know... it's not an editing system but sometimes I need it to be!)On the Xeon system, I queue some 4K C300 MK2 footage with Magic Bullet Looks applied to encode to 1080p H.264 and the Quadro will get slammed. 90% usage minimum. CPU will be about 20% or less.On the Ryzen system I queue some 1080p Screen captured footage to effectively just get recompressed to drop the file size. The GTX 970 will get 0% usage and the CPU will be 95% + usage. Is Magic Bullet causing the GPU to be used? Or is it the fact the footage is 4K to 1080p? I need to know for two reasons... One is that we need a new GPU to replace the Quadro K4000 soon, it's just not got the VRAM for playbac
I've got some PAL footage at 25fps I'd like to transcode to 23.976fps. I would like a one to one correspondence of frames so my pans and zooms are more fluid. I understand this will slow down my footage slightly and I'm OK with that. Is there a way to do this using Media Encoder?Martin
Hi All:My dilemma:New installation of CC to purpose-built Win10 PC.PPro media export of NTSC-DV (< 2 hrs) sequence to AME results in audio only transcode for MPEG2-DVD. AME config dialog shows video, and Video output box is checked. But when encoding is started only the audio track is produced.Any help would be appreciated.
Hi,Newbie here.I'm shooting a promo on a Canon 6D (h264). I'm supposed to send it to a colourist to do some color grading. My question is: Should I convert the footage to ProRes?In my understanding, the h264 footage will not be improved if transcoded to ProRes, so why bother? Is it just for color grading purpose? Also, if I indeed need to convert the footage to ProRes, how would I go about that since I'm editing on a PC?

Hi there,Hopefully someone can answer these questions for me? I'm using Premiere Pro, After Effects and Media Encoder and have to deliver to a client files with the following specs:- Wrapper:MXF op-1a Codec: XDCAM 50 mbps (Mpeg-2) 4:2:2 1920x1080 interlaced Framerate: 50 fps Audio: 16-20-24 bit 48 Khz -6dBFS Additional Requirements:1 minute of bars and tone 1KHz @ -6dBFS When I send the files to Media Encoder I can set a preset for the pictures (MXF op-1a XDCAM 50 mbps 4:2:2) without a problem however the test file I sent had audio levels all over the place. The timeline I exported my final edit from on Premiere had bars and tone set to 24 bit / 48 Khz -6dBFS... but the audio on the edit was all over the place when delivered from Media Encoder. My questions are... 1] When I create the my sequence in Premiere should I set the audio levels at 0 / zero and then adjust the final levels in Media Encoder? 2] If so ...where do I adjust my audio levels in Media Encoder...I don't seem to be ab
I've been having some issues lately with Premiere Pro and Media Encoder not using CPU properly.I'm having this issue on 2 macOS installs, Sierra 10.12.3 and High Sierra 10.13.6, the latter is a brand new install I did today. This issue is happening on all Premiere projects I'm currently working on.It usually goes like this, I send it to Media Encoder, hit render and it goes smootly, then, a few moments later, I send a new version to Media Encoder, hit render again and render time is 20 times more than the first time. On the last project it was 3 min vs 60 min. When it goes smootly, Media Encoder reports normal CPU usage, when it is slow, it shows around 20~25% of usage.Sometimes it works again after reopening Premiere and Media Encoder, sometimes only after a restart.I also have the same issues when trying to render in and out inside Premiere.I'm not doing anything fancy, 4K ProRes footage, Lumetri Color and a few imported titles created on After Effects. This started happening after upgr
Hi, I'm trying to batch watermark a folder of images using Encoder, however every time I apply a jpeg workflow with watermark overlay it exports my images as sequences (I get 100 copies of each image!). I just want one copy of each file, can anyone suggest a way to stop encoder exporting sequences, is this possible? Many thanks
Trying to create some lowish quality offline files with a alpha channel. Tried Avid DNxHR LB (AME CC 12.0.1 windows) but did not get a alpha channel. Cant work out what I have done wrong;(. Don't mind using another format but this creates a 500MB file and ciniform on lowest quality created a 1.5GB file which is way to big (for a 50 second offline file).
Hi thereDoes anyone know what version of the Media Encoder one needs to be able to set the encoding setting for Audio R128?I have the Master Collection CS 6, but cannot find this setting. Is my version not able to or am I just not looking in the right spot? Thanks for helping! I really appreciate it!
Hello ! I got an issue with converting my after effect file into mp4. All my whites gone gray. As my mp4 have to be in a white structured webpage, you see a great difference between the white background of the webpage and the video. Of course I tried different settings but nothing gone right. When i convert to .mov whites are perfects, but when i try in mp4 in h264, it's awfull. But as a web page, I must convert to mp4.Got a soluce ?
Hi there,I am a composer, trying to encode DVD's of my past work so I can edit a showreel. I am having problems with some encoding some DVD's as for some reason, Adobe Media Encoder clearly states that there is 'no audio' on the clip, however there absolutely IS audio on the clip when I play it in VLC or Windows Media Player. I'm completely stumped. Have tried deleting cache, installing Premiere Pro trial edition, and tried encoding on two different computers, to no avail. On the tile before the show starts I do notice that it says 'Audio configuration - A1 Stereo Final Mix L / A2 Stereo Final Mix R / A3 Stereo Mix minus narration L / A4 Stereo Mix minus narration R.' Could that be the issue? That because there are more than the regular two channels of audio it's confusing AME?Thanks for your time, Alex
Never had this problem until I updated to 2018 versions. When I try to add the file to the queue AME becomes unresponsive and I have to force quite the program. Same thing happens in Premier when I try to import the footage.@ !
Okay so i've been using Adobe Premiere pro for the last two years and started using AME in the past year. This problem has only started the other night and I have no idea whyI do occasional youtube and recently I went to go Render my xcom 2 video, and on average my videos take 6-8 hours depending on length. Given that length be 20 mins - 60 mins. The current video is an hour and 20 mins long, with 4 tracks. two with audio, one for facecam, one for gameplay.I have a rx 480, currently only have one card of memory in my PC but a stick of 8 gigs. currently in ( so i know times will or probably are longer than usual as i have my 2nd out rn)64 bit, win 10.My problem I am dealing with is in AME it starts off normally, my video says it'll take between 6-8 hours as it bounces. I leave home come back from work, or wake up and the remaining time is at 20 hours even though it's been rendering for 8-9 hours, and the seconds constantly slowly go up but in the preview window I can visually see th
I was attempting to only show a specific file format (mov vs R3D files that were in the same folder) and went to the directory viewer and clicked "file directory." Obviously this was a mistake and I should've gone to the "file types displayed" dropdown and chosen the correct format. Anyway, going back to the directory viewer dropdown, the RED option is now grayed out and I can't get it to come back. Using that option makes it so that the spanned out R3D clips automatically show as one file (as it should). Now it looks like it's 21 clips of the same joined clip with the same 49 minute length of time in the media encoder browser (but there are 21 spanned out clips in my mac finder folder). When I try to go to other folders that have spanned R3D clips in it, it works the way I want it to. It's just this one folder now having weird issues. Anyone know how to fix this?
So, looking at the stitch capabilities in media encoder, and have successfully stitched two videos together in the program, but was looking at saving presets and incorporating stitching, and don't see the option and my searches have been in vain.Basically, I'm making videos that need to go to facebook and youtube. I want to just edit one timeline, but then send to media encoder and kick out a facebook version and a youtube version that will append (stich) on the endcard for the subscribe and related video overlay endcard stuff youtube does. Is this possible? If I'm not clear, please tell me and I'll try to rephrase.
