In the last week, 2 programs I output via Media Encoder 2018 (latest update) in HEVC have been unable to play on some computers, but do play on others. First time I have run into this problem - am I missing something?
Media Encoder 2018 (12.0) has been working on rendering a 3:00 video with no effects for 2 hours with no progress. I've tried all I can think of.Media Encoder 12.0.1 will not open at all, so I downgraded to AME 2017 and Premiere Pro 2018 12.1.0 wouldn't even recognize it, so I uninstalled and reinstated AME 2018 12.0, and Premiere sends files to be rendered to it, but when started, Media Encoder just sits there. In my system logs, I found this:TIC TCP Conn Event [25:0x61000056e040]: 2TIC TCP Conn Cancel [25:0x61000056e040]<private> stream, pid: 12537, url: http://localhost:59259/api/remoteLogin] cancelled[25.1 B756853D-9C6A-45F5-90E2-1EEF472E0696 <private>.61653<-><private>]Connected Path: satisfied (Path is satisfied), interface: lo0, dnsDuration: 21.320s, DNS @0.000s took 0.000s, TCP @0.001s took 0.000sbytes in/out: 5830/36938, packets in/out: 23/22, rtt: 0.000s, retransmitted packets: 0, out-of-order packets: 0It looks as though there's some sort of error in
I'm looking to build an automated render pipeline that will crunch proxies for a large volume of footage at one time. I'd ideally like to run the script on a batch of arbitrary files that could include image sequences, audio, and any video format. The script will create an H264 preview of each clip, as well as extract all available metadata on every file. It's a tall order, and I'm hoping it's possible with ExtendScript and Media Encoder or Premiere. I've dug as much as I can through the Object Model Viewer, but the lack of proper documentation is making this very difficult. I'm hoping to get a discussion going here that might provide help to future Googlers with similar ideas. My workflow will be this:1. Load a file (need a way to "stitch" image sequences and multi-file clips e.g. R3D into a single clip)2. Extract metadata from file and save to external document (ideally including available source camera settings like ISO and Kelvin)3. Set output name and destination for rendered file.4
With the recent change to AE CC 15.1, the Quicktime legacy codecs were removed so we now have to use AME to render from AE. AME has some issues with putting files in the right location. Normally if we send a comp to AME from AE with the Queue in AME button, it keeps the render presets and location settings. However if I need to render out two versions with different codecs, and I add a second codec to the video, it second version has a different location and creates its own folder. Is there any way to disable that? You may say we could just manually change it, however, we have to render out at least 50 spots a week so that would be time consuming and cut into production time.
I have a 5 second clip which I am exporting from After Effects into AME, using default source high bitrate settings. After testing many times I realise that AME renders the first second of the sequence blurry (I am not able to show my footage so I have grabbed a stock image off pexels to demonstrate.)Ignore the black bars, they are just because I used snipping tool to grab the screenshot.1st Second of ExportAfter 1st Second of ExportIf it isn't obvious enough, the first image is grainy in the skies while the second is crisp.I've tried with other footage and still images, and even moved the work area in after effects to start from 2 seconds and end at 7, but the 1st second graininess still appears. Is there any workaround I could try to fix the render quality?
I use the search thing in the Start menu to open Adobe Media Encoder, but nothing happens. The splash screen doesn't appear, or anything. I tried exporting my After Effects file to MP4 by adding it to Media Encoder Queue, but nothing appears. I even searched for the application launcher in the Program Files Adobe folder. That didn't work.I tried uninstalling and installing the latest version, which is 12.0. That didn't work.I tried running as administrator. That didn't work.I tried running it in Compatibility Mode for Windows 8 and 7. That didn't work.I tried creating a Presets folder in Documents>Adobe>Adobe Media Encoder>12.0. That didn't work.I'm at the end of my rope here. I'm just trying to export my After Effects composition, but nothing's working. I'm currently trying to use Dynamic Link with Premiere Pro, but it shows nothing. I know it takes time to render, but my whole composition looks black in Premiere Pro. Does anyone know of a way to help me get Media Encoder wor
I need to encode (hugely compress about 5,000 video files into something I can edit - I'm making video proxies). How can I apply my custom preset to all files at once? How can I save all output files to new location at once? Also, how can I delete the default output preset on every one, all at once?I thought adobe was user-friendly, this has me thinking! Thanks a bunch!C
Using AME CC 2018 to export a 4k video. Everything look normal and it works all the way through up until the end at which point it has been consistently crashing with around 5 minutes left. Any ideas?
After the most recent update, I have lost the ability to enable 2-pass encoding using hardware acceleration. I can use hardware acceleration only when I select 1-pass. Hi, I'm hoping someone here can help,I'm not an expert in media or even much of a user of Adobe products, I deal with Application deployment (300 applications to 8000 workstations)Having Deployed CC suite to Win10, apparently there are a bunch of Codec options that aren't listed under Quicktime that were there on windows 7.From what I can tell these are only available on Win 7 because we have the Quicktime player installed became I get the same list on an out of the Box win7 machine until I install Quicktime.Looking around the net seams to confirm this, along with comments that seam to suggest that CinePak is a legacy Codec. Also it would appear that Apple do not support Quicktime on windows 10.Apparently the codecs for cinepak are on the machine as you can see them listed in WindowsMedia player. So,Are there different codecs for encoding and decoding (would seam odd as I thought Codec was a shortening of encode decode)Is there a reason why Media player can see the codecs but MediaEncode
Al colocar un video en media encoder no aparece completo, es un video que dura 1 minuto con 7 segundos, pero al colocarlo al media encoder y al premier cc 2018 solo aprecen 42 segundos, que se podria hacer?
I would like to continue using Media Encoder but it now refuses to run. I receive the following message:The grace period for this product has expired. In order to continue using Media Encoder, please purchase a Creative Cloud subscription.I have a Creative Cloud subscription! So, what's the deal? My Creative Cloud Apps area just lists Open or View Tutorials, Uninstall as the options for Media Encoder. There is no option to change to a standard install, etc.
I'm trying to transcode an .mxf file from an F5 with the RAW extension, to an AVC files in .mxfBut when i did this, I get a footage like I was shooting in 720p, very pixelated. So I wonder how I could fix that? Any suggestions welcome!ThanksTitouan
Hi there,I am using the VR 2048x2048 Stereoscopic DNxHR Stereo Audio Preset provided by Adobe to encode proxies for my VR footage in an Adobe Team Project, but Adobe Media Encoder doesn't get past 3 seconds of work before progress ceases and the 'remaining' time counter endlessly tallies seconds.Initially, the whole program would freeze (progress would cease and the 'Elapsed' and 'Remaining' tallies remained static). I tried to do a CleanBoot of my PC to work out what the problem was, but to no avail (as per recommended on another forum post). I have since reinstalled the program and am now faced with the problem described above.I am working on a MSI GP62MVR 6RF Leopard Pro dedicated VR laptop with the following specs:Intel(R) Core i&-6700HQ CPU @2.60GHz32 GB RAMGeForce GTX1060PCI-E Gen 3 with a 512GB solid state boot drive (that Adobe products are installed to)It is difficult to work effectively and neatly without being able to render proxies as I import new media and I am on a de
I wish I could be more specific about the issues I'm having with Media Encoder - most people's problems I've seen thus far have been with a single project, and a diagnosed and repeatable problem. Not so lucky in my case, but here's the situation:Media Encoder fails on renders. It fails on all my projects at this point. This started about 2 weeks ago. I create my sequences based on my footage settings. After that, it's a combination of Adjustment layers with Lumetri colour for grading, occasionally graphic layers, but not always. Sometimes using type, not always. Sometimes with After Effects sequences through media link, but not always. If I have only one sequence rendering it fails. If I have multiple sequences, the first one fails, then ME rapidly runs through the balance of sequences and fails them all in about 6 seconds. Again that's with or without any of the variations to my timelines above. That's also across at least 5 different projects, using 3 different camera sources and 3 d
Is there any way to force Adobe Media encoder’s *.m2v format video bitrate setting lower than 1.5? I want to experiment with getting more video on a DVD. I am using Media Encoder CC 2018, but if I need to use another version I can. Thanks

(I know but I play with my parents) anyway suddenly the game closed and I was sent to the link above. It was fake adobe update page. It looked very legitimate, thankfully I checked the address... Not Legit. Thanks,Julia
Hello - Doesn't Media Encoder have a preset or the functionallity to make a 1280x720p .mpg at 59.94?It baffles me, or I'm just doing it wrong, that I can export a 1280x720 .mpg at 59.94 from Premiere but not in Media Encoder as a preset for a watch folder...Any clues? We are using the Adobe full suite, Version 12.0.1 Windows 10 Thanks!
i have been working on a project for a month or two and have encountered an issue when rendering with encoder and have no clue how to fix it, here's some background info:i organize my files and assets before the project starts so nothing moves etc, in after effects all files are intact and 'functioning' however, when i go to render, encoder thinks one of my video files are missing, i am completely stumped on how to fix it, I've tried re-importing the video, renaming a clone of the file and importing it... I'm hoping someone has an idea of how to fix it, or has encountered it before....Thank you in advance !
QUVIS, the supplier of the AME Wraptor Plugin writes - no comment:"Sorry you are having issues with this package. There is a thread control issue with this build, which can impact systems supporting more than 8 threads, causing a lockup as you describe. We have been unable to get Adobe to move ahead on their commitments for this product once they had distribution rights to the initial release, and they also refuse to remove the current version from their CC distribution, leaving us in quite a quandary. We are currently building an update utility which will allow CC users to update this plug-in independent of Adobe. It should be available in April 2018. In the meantime, if you can run the application on a 4 core system, or limit thread support in MacOS to 8 or less, you should be able to use the package as it is. Also note that GDC made a change in their theatrical cinema player software in 2016 which broke interoperability with this build. All other cinem
Hi All creative peeps.I have a question. I'm doing a template in AE where 3 pictures are dynamic and text are updated from an external .json file.So the idea is.. that you can upload 3 pictures and write 3 text fields from a website. The pictures and ,json file will be replaced with the new content. So far it all works!I've made a watchfolder in Media Encoder and I made an automator script to make a copy of the .aep file and send it to the watchfolder. But when it begins to render....the pictures are fine but the text hasen´t update. When I open it in After effects it all looks good and when I render in Render Queue it is fine!Any ideas or advice? Are there issues with AME?Henrik
I've had this issue for several years now, presumably starting with some version of CC. I make some changes to a comp or sequence, save it, even close the app. I fire up AME, choose the recently edited Comp (Ae) or Sequence (Pr), and get a previously saved version of what I queued! My workaround for this for a while was to pull up Task Manager, and End task for dynamiclinkmanager.exe (or something like that). I no longer see this process in Task manager (like ver). So they must have replaced it with some equivalent? If there IS one, presumably ending it will perform the same workaround? This is infuriating having to babysit my renders, especially very long ones that need to run overnight. Also, clearing my cache 9at least via AME) did not solve the issue? Do I need to keep a shortcut to my Media Cache folder and keep emptying it after every change I make? Ridiculous...
Hello Everyone,I am trying to solve a workflow problem that I have with AVCHD files. As many of you know, avchd files on a mac get put into one "folder" called AVCHD. I shoot on 3 cameras and often have 15+ clips on each camera per shoot. I would like to transcode these files into ProRes Proxy files for ease of editing and file management (it is becoming a huge pain to have tons of files labeled "AVCHD." So I see that I can drop the AVCHD file into Media Encoder and it will queue all of the separate clips which is great. However, when I set up a Watch Folder, it will pick up Mp4's I drop in, but doesn't respond to the AVCHD file. Is there a way to do this? I would love to be able to drop my cards into the folders and have them ready the next morning as individual prores files. Working on CC 2018. Thanks!
