Adobe Media Encoder

Hi,It seems obvious, but actually carries a lot of routine. Yes, it is possible to move clips in the queue with the mouse, but it is hardly possible without a mouse. I have a typical situation: often hundreds of clips are in the queue for encoding and suddenly an urgent task arrives. Of course it becomes the last one. How can we quickly move it to the top of the queue or assign it to the next one after the current one, without holding the mouse for a long time while the list is crawling? It seems there must be some hotkeys: move the task above, below, to the beginning, to the end. I probably don't have enough experience. Any hints please.

Hello,Long time user of AME but totally confused on how to fix my latest issue broguht on by new applicaiton limitaitons. How do I get captions "embed in output file" in latest version of media encoder? I have a mpeg-2 video export from final cut pro, with CEA 608 captions embed on the file already.When I export as MXF OP1a the captions are greyyed out and and remove them on the export? I use to use AME 2020, as this was the last version that allowed this. This week the 2020 version of app stopped working.Pictures include 2019 versus 2023 version.

Inside of Premiere Pro I have the option enabled to automatically create proxies whenever I put in new video footage and it works really nice. But can I somehow tell Media Encoder to not open up in the foreground while doing this and then automatically close the application again after finishing the proxy? That would be awesome and such a timesaver overall!

 my exports keep getting to this point and then nothing happens. I need to turn these projects in please help. large 4k video files for a podcast.

Hi there, I am a Multimedia Production Student and have been using Premiere Pro and Media Encoder for 6 years now. As I am preparing to move to freelance I am finding myself regularly having to transcode large amounts of footage, for example from H.265 to Prores. I am growing more and more frustrated with how little CPU and GPU capacity is used when transcoding. Currently I am looking at a max. utilization of 44% on CPU and around 25% on GPU, no matter what I do. It's definitely not storage speed related, everything is running off of internal PCIE SSDS or external drives with over 400MB/s transfer speeds. What's most frustrating is that transcoding in Resolve 18 Maxes out my system resources in similar transcodes. Am I doing something wrong or is Media Encoder still this poorly optimized? Thank you for your inputs and experiences.

I have to render out compositions that are using blend modes like "Silhouette Luma"  but these are simply not rendered corretly once the comp is exported to media encoder. Using the render list in AE is the only option, but just terrible due to the lack of some needed encoding functionality (eg audio filter for loudness).

I have the latest version of ME but it crashes immediately upon opening. Hi, I'm exporting a large batch of interview video clips from Adobe Premier to Adobe Media Coder. I had to add some audio FX to fix the noise issues. No matter what I do, when the A/V clips are exported through Media Encoder, the audio on the final clips is the original audio with no FX. Any ideas?Side note, when I export 1 clip individually from the Premier Project file, it exports fine. It's only when I export through Adobe Media Encoder. - Thanks

Hi, it is very frustrating that Adobe Media Encoder doesn't have the option to convert an mkv video to other formats. When is going to be available this option?

I have just updated from Media Encoder 23.2.1 (which worked nicely) to Media Endoder 23.3. As soon as I start ME it crashes. See attached crash report. Any ideas/help?

I have a lot of videos that are taken along and that is not good for meHow I turn the video 90 degrees as easily as you can do other conversion software but not qualityI use Premiere occasionally but it's a complicated trickI would be happy with you to add an option or teach me how to do it in Media Encoder

Hi thereFirst off, Ive emailed Quvis quite a few times , filled out a contact form, and also have posted to their Facebook page, and I have called them a number of times, even though Im based in UK and it wont be cheap to call the USA!! So, I have tried many many times to contact someone who can help. I  am hoping that someone here can offer advice , or better still actually provide a working contact for Quvis. Ive paid upfront for the Wraptor Pro version.Here's the problem:Basically, since we started using PP/AME and making DCP's it doesnt matter if you select your content to be a short, trailer, or whatever- it always ends up in the Features section of a cinema server. This was never the case before on MacOs Wraptor Pro. Something isnt right.Secondly, when selecting a 1920x1080 output, it says 'C' in the naming convention (Full Container) which again , isnt right.I'm sure these must be  easy fixes? The Media Encoder v23 is not starting. The splash screen opens but then it disappears and the Media Encoder does not launch. The option to send from Premier Pro to Media Encoder is active but it does not work either(Media Encoder doesn't start).None of the current work around in the community (latest from 2013) are working.I appreciate a more recent guidance. I'm using Windows 11 - 64 bits and 64GB RAM (56 GB allocated to Adobe)

Dear Community. When I export a file using the ARD-ZDF HDF02a-1.1 Profile preset the MXF file has (among others) the following meta data (in MediaInfo): Color range : Limitedcolour_range_Original : FullThe file itself is encoded in "Legal Range" (like every common YUV encoded strem), but FFmpeg for example seems to interpret these files als "Full Range" (Premiere, Resolve are fine). As a result, all trancodes are "wrong" (lifted blacks/lower highlights). The "_Original" flags are the one from the stream, the tags witout  the "_Original" are the flags of the container as far as I know.Where does the "_Original" flag come from? In my test the source was a ProRes (444 and 422HQ) file (Legal Range).Of course I am able to fix this issue during transcoding in FFmpeg, but sometimes I don't have the choice. To sum up: is the "colour_range_Original : Full" correct and necessary on ARD-ZDF HDF02a-1.1 Profile files?

I have been successfully using Clips Exporter for several months as a quick and convenient way to export multiple clips with the exported file name being the name of the clip – but a major problem has occurred in the last few days between Premier Pro 2023 and Media Encoder 2023.Now, when I export more than 10-15 clips at the same time, my Windows 11 system memory usage goes from about 45% to 100% until Premiere Pro crashes due to memory problems caused by memory usage at 100%.This only happens when I export to AME. If I export to Premiere Pro directly there's no problem. This means I have a clumsy workaround – but not having AME is a MAJOR impact on productivity! Memory usage for all Adobe products is set to 50% of my available 64GB of memory. Clearly, this limit has been exceeded since running this software combination is using up ALL 64 GB of memory. why MKV format file isn't supported by Adobe because if it was, it would save us and we are wasting our time to convert it to another format that is supported by Adobe.

Using Media Encoder to render a batch of videos from Premiere is NOT rending the Knoll Light Factory plugin EVEN WITH the Rosetta option turned on.  Premiere will render plugin in it's export option. M1 Mac StudioMonterey 12.6.1ME 23.4Premiere 23.4.0 

Hi all,When converting a 1920x1080 video to h.264 at 400x224 800kbps avg, 1mbps max the quality of the conversion is insanely poor compared to other encoders. Text in particular becomes blotchy, soft and/or excessively low contrast. When using other encoding programs with the same setting the text quality is far more crisp and distinct. Quality in general is much better. Anyone have any ideas on how to improve ME quality when exporting to a very small video size like this? Does ME just not do tiny video size well or is there something I'm missing?Any suggestions are appreciated.

Win 10 ProPPRO 14.0.1 build 71AE 17.0.2 build 26AME 14.0.1 build 70 When I export from PPRO via AME, AME starts. When I click the green play button to start rendering nothing happens. Sometimes it keeps saying Reading XMP and displaying the blue but it doesn't start rendering. Reinstall of AME did not work. Checking/unchecking import PPRO sequences natively in AME did not work. Direct export from PPRO doesn't work also. I used self created (in AE) .mogrt file. Is that the problem? HELP please, have some clients waiting!Thanks,Levi
