Hi everyone,I’m experiencing hangs between Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder (AME). I already reinstalled, updated, and cleared caches, but the issue persists.- What happens:I send a sequence from Premiere Pro to AME.- AME starts rendering, then randomly stalls.- Progress stops and, in Windows Task Manager, AME drops to 0% CPU.- If I close Premiere Pro, AME immediately resumes and continues rendering.-Sometimes just clicking the AME window or switching focus makes it resume for a while, then it stalls again.-Exporting directly from Premiere sometimes works, but sending to AME is unreliable. What I’ve tried: -Changed Project Settings > Renderer. It was initially stuck on “None” with a tooltip saying the playback engine was active; after stopping playback and restarting I could change it, but the problem remains.-Toggled GPU acceleration on/off in both Premiere and AME.-Cleared Media Cache in both apps and deleted the folders manually.-Reset Premiere and AME preferences (
when i drag and drop footage into AME then select my ingest preset it wont let me choose location of footage where to i export how to do it ( i do this becaue i do not want to waste time to import footage into premier pro and send to AME for proxy instead of i do direct drag nad drop into AME and make proxy my main stuck is when i click make proxy from premier pro it takes a lot of time to send AME so i decided to direct drag and drop into AME and make proxy and attach it later DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANY SOLUTION TO THIS OR ANY OTHER WAY?????
When I render an H.264 video, the task stops randomly. The software interface looks completely normal, but the rendering process freezes — even the “elapsed time” counter stops. No matter how long I wait, it never resumes, and the system shows no error messages. Please help — it’s completely unusable. My computer is high-end: Intel Ultra 7 265 processor, 32 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD, using integrated graphics only (no dedicated GPU). What on earth is causing this problem?I’ve tested multiple times, and the stopping point is different each time, so I’m sure it’s not an issue with the source materials.
I am using After Effects for Logo Animation work from Template. But when listing and exporting using Media Encoder Queue the it's freeze after 2/3/5/6/7 random times and once it's freeze, my whole pc getting freezes and then I don't have another way without Restart! I'm using 2025 version of AE and ME. Also, this problem just happening when I am selecting "MERCURY PLAYBACK ENGINE GPU ACCELERATION (OPEN CL)" but when I am selecting "Mercury Playback Engine Software Only" then everything going perfect and rendering not freezing anymore but rendering time is slower because I know it's using CPU only now. But how can I fix it to use gpu encode? Do I need to through my Intel Arc to Dustbin and purchase a Nvidia card? Please give me a solution guys because I am suffering a lot for this! How can I render out an mp4 / H.264 with an alpha channel? I want to make an animated overlay for my twitch broadcasts and hopefully for other people but I can't even get it to be transparent.
Hiya. Been using Adobe since the very beginning. Man things take a long time to happen on the development front. Here's what I want to do. We have a CLOSED broadcast System...very limited firewall access to the WWW.I've just setup a workstation just as a render machine. 5 Team members can save a copy of their their AE projects to Designated watch folders, and it renders and delivers the files where they are needed. Added to studio, loaded onto the server...it's great and FAST!Problem is, only I get the notifications when renders finish, fail, or whatever...as I'm the one logged into my account on the cloud.Ideally, I'd love for the senders of the files can get notifications via CC. THis would require USER metadata being embedded in the file header I imagine...but it sounds feasable.Alternativeley, Happy for everyone in the team to get the notifications. Can I add users to the notifications section in the media encoder setup. I can turn the
HelloI'm trying to export a premier cc sequence via adobe media encoder and somehow it tells me on ME that the rushes are offline.I tried to clean the media cache both from premier and ME but it didn't help.Waiting for your replyregardsAriel Tamir
Howdy, so recently I did a walk cycle animation for my class in After Effects. Went to Media Encoder to render it, and while waiting for it to render I accidentally clicked on my extended harddrive. Immediately, got a, "major hardware failure", and couldn't access it from the normal files option. Safetly ejected it, and plugged it back in, and everything seemed fine.Later, started working on my video game project I have on Monday, Sunday was the previous one, and it randomly failed then too. Had to erase an hours worth of work because of how bad it cramped up. I bought a new extended harddrive recently just in case, and honestly didn't think I had any damage as most files were opening okay after I ejected it and plugged it back in again. Then I started copying stuff over, and so far have lost 60+ files of videos and pictures. So far, its mainly memorabilia I've lost, like old game clips, but I have all my graphic design work from junior highschool to sophmore college on this thing
I've had this happen on multiple software versions over the years trying to send an After Effects Comp to Media Encoder. Media Encoder opens when I click, "Add to Media Encoder", but it never links the comp there to be able to export. Even tried manually "add source" from Media Encoder, but it gets hung up trying to connect.I tried closing both apps and reopening, but same issue. I don't really want the solve to be, "just restart your system" becuase that's just a waste of my time and resources. But I'll give it a go and see if that works. I'm using: AE 2025 v25.5.0 (Build 4) and Media Encoder 2025 v25.3 (Build 73)
I would love a text display in Media Encoder to show how many files are in the queue and how many are complete. This could be a preference you can turn on and off in Encoder. This would be immensely helpful when rendering large amounts of files - like when creating proxy files within Premiere Pro. There is currently no way that I know of to check how many files are in the queue and I would use this function to double check I have every file accounted for.
Media Encoder 2020 will not stop hanging on exports, not freezing, just stopping usually about a third of the way through. Both myself and my colleague on our two seperate machines are running into this issue on almost every export we send to Media Encoder. We have been trying to export 15 short graphics based videos built in after effects, nothing particularly strenuous. Have spent the last few months rendering the same style videos through Media Encoder 2019 without any issues. As soon as we updated, the problems began! It seems to freeze whenever you go to touch Media Encoder, After Effects or Premiere once the render has been started. I've been using this for years and I would like to think I'm fairly good at troubleshooting but everything I try doesnt fix it. Ive had to resort to rendering straight out of After Effects and then re-rendering straight out of Premiere. If anyone knows how you would go about sorting the issue out and getting Media Encoder Working a
Hi, for some time now I am having this persisting issue with Adobe Media Encoder. I think this issue started after the Win11 update few months ago, but I am not able to confirm that. I am using the last version on Win11. My issue is that after installation, the program can be opened without issues. But when I close it (for whateve reason) I am not able to open it again. I tried to open it directly from Creative Cloud, from apps or from After Effects for example. But it always does the same thing - shows that it is opening (loading wheel next to mouse), but then it stops and nothing happens. The Encoder is then listed between the backgound tasks, but it just does not open. Few times the reinstall of everything helped - but it still worked only until first time I closed the app, then I was not able to open it again. (I used creative cloud cleaner to remove all data. I also manually removed appdata and related documents.) But now even after the complete reinstall I am
Dear all,I have been having problem with AME for months now when rendering Premiere's projects and cant see to resolve the problem. I have look through so many forums and tried all the methods but still got the same problem: most of the videos failed during the export with AMEThe GPU I'm using is the geforce gtx 980 ti, so today I tried with another pc with geforce gtx 1080 to see whether the problem was with my GPU. But still FAILED...Here is the report I got from AME: When export to QUICKTIME- Encoding Time: 00:02:0403/23/2017 05:01:31 PM : Encoding Failed------------------------------------------------------------Export ErrorWriting with exporter: QuickTimeWriting to file: C:\Users\sleoni2\Desktop\XXX_test.movAround timecode: 00:00:06:08Rendering at offset: 6.320 secondsComponent: QuickTime of type ExporterSelector: 9Error code: -1609629695When export to h.264------------------------------------------------------------- Encoding Time: 00:01:0303/23/2017 05:02:36 PM : Encoding Failed
Hi there, After updating my OS, I've been trying to open ME 25 on Macbook Pro running OS 26 and I keep getting the following error:"Adobe Media Encoder 2025" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash." I've tried to uninstall and install it back a few times with no sucess. Any clues on what is happening? Thanks.
I'm currently working on stitching together a bunch of MOD/AVCHD files from cameras and encoding them into a single video. They don't require editing, this is just videos that need to be connected together, so Adobe Media Encoder's stitching function is the better tool in this case over Adobe Premiere Pro. However, while some sets I'm having no problem with, others have a larger number of individual clips, and I'm running into the message "Too many source files to display":If I was dropping all of the files from a single location into Adobe Media Encoder to be stitched/encoded, this wouldn't be an issue. But many of the files are from other memory cards, and due to the way the camera names the files, you end up with multiple duplicate file names, which Windows Explorer can't handle in a single folder (obviously), but Adobe Media Encoder can have multiple files with the same name in a single stitch set no problem (since the source path is different). In the screens

Herzlichen Dank Andy
Hi,I’d like to add a .cube file to my macOS directory so that it appears in the Export window under Effects → Lumetri Looks/LUTs. I know I can load it manually each time, but I’d prefer it to be available in the dropdown menu by default. The thing is, I’m not sure where the correct directory is located. Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi everyone,I’ve built a lightweight CEP extension for Adobe Media Encoder (v25.5) and placed it in the usual extension locations:C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\com.xcast.ame.bridgeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\com.xcast.ame.bridge%APPDATA%\Adobe\CEP\extensions I also verified that the required registry keys are set:HKCU\Software\Adobe\CSXS.13 PlayerDebugMode = 1HKCU\Software\Adobe\CSXS.12 PlayerDebugMode = 1 Despite this, the extension never appears in Window > Extensions inside Media Encoder.I even tried rolling back to AME v24, but the panel/extension menu is still missing.Has anyone successfully enabled CEP panels in recent versions of AME, or is there an additional step/setting I’m missing? Thanks in advance!
I want to make a 1240 x 1683px video, but the exported MP4 video file is too large for memory. Is there any way to compress the file size of the video?
When exporting multiple files, we can batch change the file location but not the file names. When having multiple exports for different resolutions or ratios, dynamic naming using placehoders would be great. This could be possible by using placeholders directly in the sequence name (e.g. Sequence-1_%SeqName%) which gets replaces on export (maybe also through a command "replace wildcards in project") or during export with naming presets that can be applied. On naming conflicts, these exports could be grayed out with a warning symbol, still allowing manual changes. Placeholders that would be great are: Sequence nameResolutionAspect RatioFrame rateFrame count/Durationany (custom) Metadata fieldCustom prefix/suffix Especially batch exports would benefit from this.
Hi!I have a sequence with reframed INSV videos filmed with an Insta360 X5.When exporting from Permiere Pro to Media Encoder, the program, ME, crashes. ME starts, I get the initial splash but then ME terminates without any messages or information. If ME is running when exporting ME terminates. After the crash when starting ME manually, not by exporting from PP, there is no trace of the previous export from PP.Help!/Kjell
I've never used Media Encoder on this computer, infact I just installed it a few weeks ago. To my knowledge I don't have any plugins installed (as I don't really use Adobe apps that often anyways). I already tried a reinstall with no avail. Please help thanks OS: macOS 11.2.3
