More or less what the title says. When I go to rename/repath my files in the "save as" window, upon hitting "save", both programs lock up and ultimately have to be forcibly quit. This doesn't occur if I cancel out of the window instead, or when altering the export settings...*only* in the "save as" panel. Latest update, Media Encoder 22.5 (Build 57) and After Effects 22.5 (Build 53).
Hi, I have a very annoying issue with my MP4/H264 export. When working on After Effects, the colors of my gradient are great (export1 image) , but I can't export it in MP4 without a significant loss in quality, pixelated effects and glitches (export2 image), whatever I try.It works well in MOV/AppleProRes format, but unfortunately the player which I use to display the video on a screen supports only MP4. Does someone have an idea how to fix this?
Hey!I'm trying to render an AE comp with Media Encoder, but it's taking so long... I left it to render during night and it the estimated time was 4 hours (it's a 2:30 video full of effects such as Keylight and glows). When I woke up (6h30 later) it had only rendered 25% of the video and the estimated time was 24h. Obviously I cancelled everything. I tested rendering the first 10 seconds in both AE and ME. In AE it took 4:40 min (Quick Time / Apple ProRes). In Media encoder (H.264) it took 10:40 min. It seems ME is not using my GPU at all, even though I have GPU acceleration activated everywhere. It even looks like my preview in AE is faster than ME render. When I used to do the same at work with CC 2019 I didn't have this problem. Can anyone help me with that? My configs:CPU: Intel i5 8400GPU: RTX 2060 SuperRAM: 32 Gb / 2666 MhzStorage: 256 Gb SSD (for OS and softwares) and 1 Tb for files and disk cache
I need help. All my User Presets I built and depend on every day are gone! I can't find them.My Dynamic Link server wasn't connecting this morning. I loged out of Adobe and loged back in, that reconneced my dynamic link server. Now all my presets are gone. I checked for the folder in my program files, it is gone too. How do I find or reload my presets? Why did they dissapear? Don't know if it matters or effects the situation, I did update my After Effects today also after I reconnected my dynamic link server.
After the some update it think 22.3 media encoder started to be extremly slow on render. So i have a project 4k 7h30min to render on premiere pro it takes like 5h30min and on media encoder like 17h. Another project 1080 3h, premiere pro like 50min, media encoder like 5h to 6h. I did reset cache, preference nothing has changed. It was a good program when i had multiple projects to render, i could edit in premiere pro another one but now i have to render everything in premiere because media encoder takes even days to render. 6projects i need a week, when with premiere pro just a day. Why did you ruin it?
When I take a render from Media Encoder via After Effects, its always rendering until 0:00 seconds remaining. But its never finishing and I can't have a rendered video. Can you help me?(All are uploaded.)
Hi,So currently I'm trying to render a minute and thirty seconds video from After Effects so I'll be able to watch my project and upload it to YouTube later on. The project weight is 302MB and it takes about four to six hours to render it.I'm unsure if it's because of one of the settings that I accidentally ticked or, if that's how Media Encoder works. I previously attempted to render the project using the built-in feature with After Effects but it came out not working for some reason. My CPU is i7 11700k with 32GB ram DDR4 @ 4000MHz and the GPU is RTX 3090 24GB ,
For context, I need to render the same After Effect comp an ever-growing amount of times. I've been working with 1000 at a time. I have been able to do this with a comp from spreadsheet plugin and using Media Encoder's watch folder. I'm rendering to an MP4 and the videos are supposed to take 15 seconds to render. However, they eventually slow down to around 1:00 minute, which doesn't sound too bad if there weren't 1000 of them. When it slows down it uses significantly fewer resources, specifically the CPU. Goes from using 30-50% consistently down to 15-20%. To make it worse, it freezes at 6 hours in. I've tried doing some tests to figure out what the issue could be. Started with the After Effects file first. Thought it might have been because I was using an MP4 file, but it was only audio from it. It wasn't that. Thought it was the pdf file being used, it wasn't that but I did find using a jpeg sped it up slightly. Then I turned off any effects that weren't necessary, nothing
I would like to suggest something that would help a lot if it was on a future version of ME. I work in a TV channel and we currently working on older material. When we open it in Premiere Pro we de-interlace it through flicker removal on field options. Though there are a ton of files. It would be very helpful if ME had a flicker removal option, so we could apply it on multiple files simulatenously. Friendly,Anthony
I can render through after effects and premier but anytime i use media encoder it fails and i get error code -1609629695. ive tried everything using software instead of hardware accel, max render qual is off and max depth is off. it wont even render at any other formats including h.264i also changed my cache locations for both and they have plenty of room and both after effects and media encoder are updated and on the same version.also i tested it on a clip with no effects on it and mulitple different random clips.
Every time i export a comp to Adobe Media Encoder it will start encoding fine, then when it reaches near halfway it will get stuck/freeeze and it will generate no more progress.it will present itself with no issues on the app and when (Ctrl Alt L) it wont specify any issues either.Pausing and then un-pausing will not help it either, neither will "right click and reset"Only recently been happeneing since latest update, I have tried reverting back to older versions and still having the same issues, have tried testing using different comps that have worked before, but still having the same issues, have tried uninstalling and re-installing but no luck, and have updated graphics card aswell.any tips will be much appreciated, cheers.
I've been trying to send timelines out of Premiere to Media Encoder for batch render all morning, and ME is simply refusing to open the file. Gets caught about 2/3rds of the way through the opening loading bar and hangs. Have waited as long as 20 min to see if it eventually catches up and no luck. Any thoughts?
Hello Community. I have a client that has a spec request at an odd aspect ratio for video - 1629x420 Everytime I export, using match source. It automatically kicks to 1628x420 I know mp4 containers hate odd numbers, but the banner ad size is locked. They rejected the 1628x420 export. They dont accept Quicktime MOVs Which CAN export at the corrrect settings. Any one ever trouble shoot this before?
First, I'm sorry that my english is bad.I tried to render for keeping the color or gradient effect as remainedbut when I add this to Media Encorder It turns to black,so I did put a solid layer, some effects... blah blah, but as u can see I'm noob in affter effect.. I know that if do render in affter effect then it works, but I want to save my time ..If anyone knows, could U tell me please?
When I open ME, currently (Version 15.1 (Build 42), I get the following message that pops up. ME will not continue until I click "OK." "The application will make use of a temporary folder for this sssion for creating temporary or custom files." No matter what I set in preferences to change the Cache folder locations, no difference. I've uninstalled ME and reinstalled multiple times, tried older versions (two previous to current), and nothing get's me past this. What's frustrating is that the warning that pops up gets lost behind other windows and it just makes opening ME bothersome. I can't find any reference to this on the web or any forum. Certainly I'm not the only person this happens to. I'm on Windows 10 Pro. Adobe Suite is not installed to the default path on the C: drive. I have it on another faster NvMe drive.
I am fully aware that Adobe does not "officially" support Media Encoder scripting through ExtendScript in the way they do for most of the other applications. But it is possible:https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2170163/is-adobe-media-encoder-scriptable-with-extendscriptHowever, it only seems that the script can be run by opening up the ExtendScript Toolkit and manually clicking the green arrow which causes the script to run.Naturally, this is far from ideal. For other Adobe applications, such as After Effects, the script can be run from command line in the following fashion: "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CC 2018\Support Files\afterfx.exe" -r "script/path/here.jsx"(See here for a reference: Run .jsx File From Command Line Windows )However, when trying the same thing for Adobe Media Encoder (replacing it with the appropriate path), no such luck. Although the Media Encoder window becomes active, the script does not run.Another thou
So this new Premiere update has me seriously stressed out! I seriously need help. You apparently can't save over an old version of a video anymore. Is anyone else having this problem? In premiere pro, I always export via media encoder, but the new version, adds a number at the end of the filename, despite if you select yes in Premiere when it asks if you want to replace the file. I unchecked the option in Media Encoder to add a number if the file has the same name and now Media Encoder won't work at all. It gives me an error saying it couldn't overwrite the file. In the 14 years of using this software, I have never had this problem. Ever. Media encoder used to ask you if you wanted to replace a file or it would just overwrite it if you selected replace in premiere. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I have to turn in a few videos for a client today.
Hi All,Very weird situation - If my MacBook Pro 2016 - latest Mojave, AMD Radeon Pro 455 - enters into screen saver mode while AME is rendering something, it goes to a crawl, multiplying the render time by a factor of 10x to 30x. Instead of rendering in 6 hours for a 1h25min video - with Neat noise reduction on several shots - it goes into 180 hours. Problem with my computer screen saver config? I don't think so, because AME 2018 was just doing fine with that. Started the 6-houring render by 11pm, went to sleep, and in the morning everything was just there. Now with AME 2019, start the render, it works for 30 min fine, then the screen saver kicks in, and it just slows down to a factor of 30. Disable my screen saver? I can't, it's a corporate profile that is set enforcing the screen saver.Problem with my corporate profile? No.... AME 2018 was fine with that as well.Any suggestions?!A side note: this is very frustrating. We just went out of a huge issue with AME 2018 (solved just 2 month
Merci beaucoup,Martin

Does anyone have experience using an aws remote desktop as a renderfarm and what drivers have you used?Does the tesla t4 driver work with adobe media encoder because the GPU isnt getting used on rendering?Any help greatly appreciated.
hi,honestley i'm really frustraited.after last updates, after effects and media encoder (when exporting from ae) are SO SLOW and buggy. same project that i rendered last week, now takes me x50 more times for encoding..!I saw in Media encoder log file this lines many time, any idea?"Ticks = 49891 <12396> <Intel Encoder> <5> Intel Hardware Encoding not availableTicks = 1670922 <17284> <dvacore.StructuredLogging> <4> We have timed out on an async source. Hello Forum, since Version 22.3 ans also in 22.5 Media Encoder needs about 6 to 10 min to start.Anyone have an idea how to fix this?? Did a full unsinstall and install, but this did not fix the problemThanks and best regardsStephan
I am trying to export a H.264 file on my Macbook Pro M1 Max. The faces are glitching throughout the export - eyes shifting position, teeth frozen for few frames - etc. turning off hardware encoding does not help. Changing from VBR 2 pass to CBR does not help as well. All my applications are current. my Mac OS is 12.2.1.
