After Effects

Hi guys!I got some weird AE error. Does anyone know how to fix this issue and what the result of it?I can't do anything after this. Only AE restart helps.

I know there's a solution posted in the past, I did that and thus I never had any issue.https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/ae-error-could-not-convert-unicode-characters-23-46/td-p/10012017 This is my first time to actually encounter this issue as I switched to OCIO.Whether using AE's own ACES or custom OCIO file, this issue persists.

Simplemente estoy trabajando en un video y cuando le doy play lo veo parpadeando constantemente.Incluso cuando renderizo el video se ve de la misma forma. No agregue ningun efecto y la composicion con la imagen se ve normal. Desde ya muchas gracias a quien me ayude! 

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but I've been using mask with puppet tool to animate and I just experience this now.  So I'm animating something using puppet tool and I applied a mask on it. Then when i tried to play it, it looks like there's a glitch.Here's what it looks like when I play it in the main composition  And here's what it supposed to look like:I played this one in the precomposed layer. I tried saving it and then re-opening but still the same. 

M4 Macbook Pro (64GB RAM), Sequoia 15.6, After Effects version 25.3.2 Build 2. I disabled plugins, reset preferences, and uninstalled/reinstalled the app. I can open and edit projects without apparent issues. I get a beach ball if I open the preferences. It happens right when I open the app (even in safe mode) and also happens if I open and work on a project. I have to force quit. I have no idea what else I can do to fix this. By the way - I was not able to post this question without choosing at least one "topic" to apply to it. I was given a choice of 4 topics, none of which apply to this issue, so I chose "Libraries". WTF...

Hi folks—I want to create an expression where a sound is triggered when X happens. Let's say, every time a null gets to a certain point, play from 0-4 seconds on an audio clip. I'm close, but having trouble with the last part. Here's what I have on the Time Remap keyframes for my audio track: countstart = 0;countend = 0;if (thisComp.layer("Null 9").transform.xPosition > 1080){countstart = time;countend = time+4;}linear(time,countstart, countend, 0,4); The problem is that time is re-defined on every frame. So instead of playing from the current time and just running, the "play from" time is always equal to the current time, and it never catches up. I think a solution would be: when the Null reaches X, have the Expression jot down the current time, but only once. Also, do this every time the null crosses X. But I'm stumped on how to do that. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys,I’m currently trying to motion track green screen markers on a shot I’m working on, then apply the tracking to a background clip along with a few other elements, so when I have only the keyed object from the green screen, the rest of the elements would move along with its camera motion. When I’m in Mocha the track looks normal, but back in AE, when I create a Null and export the tracking using the corner pin (support motion blur) or the transform options and then tie the other assets to the null, I see a lot of jitter and and everything shakes. it's the same thing when I try to motion track with AE's tracker. After a while it dawned on me that the background clip I want to use is with a different frame rate (23.98) than the green screen shot I’m tracking (25), so I interpreted the green screen shot in AE to be 23.98 too, but that didn’t make a difference. I turned off the motion blur I had added earlier to see if it would turn out to be the issue, but with no difference. W

Hi guys, in my effect plugin, I add an arbitrary parameter which value is a string, now I add this effect to an image layer, I want to get the string value through extend script, the value type I found is CUSTOM_VALUE, and I failed with get it through property.value directly, how to achieve this in jsx script? 

I am new to after effects and am looking for a way to make the row of vehicles loop continuously almost like a seamless pattern not sure how to go about this? Theres about 8 vehciles and I've masked a precomp with them animated insideThis is inside the precomp I found a tutorial to animate them on a path and created keyframes with a Null object but I don't know how to loop it with the car in the beginning so theres not a big gap at the end when the cycles finished  

Trying to prep shots used in some AE comps for grade and want to take into Premiere Pro to make an XML for Davinci operator - I keep getting this error message which then force quits AE. Any ideas?  

I constantly get this "Failed to write XMP metadata" error message after rendering my files. I'm using version 17.7, but this has happened with previous versions too. The resulting files work fine, but I'd really like to NOT see this message every time I render. I also have to regularly restart AE as my RAM previews just stop working too. Adobe team, please focus on making AE usable again. Thanks.

When I insert a video or image into the project I just created, and add effects like CC, Zoom, Shake, and others, After Effects simply closes without leaving any message on the screen.I'm not sure if these are faulty plugins because I've had them for a while, and it happens with almost all plugins.Help me if you can.

I've been exporting gifs using AME for these icons that I have been making, and up until the last one they were coming out with no issues. Now all of the sudden, every time I try to export a gif, it comes out with this crazy dithering on it. I've attached my "Phase3.gif" which came out with no problems, and then my "Phase4.gif" which I exported immediately after but came out all jacked up. Have tried exporting with a number of settings now and even tried exporting as an MP4, bringing the MP4 into After Effects, and then exporting into a gif, but on every single one I get this wierd dithering. Any ideas? I'm really helpless to figure this out at this point.

Hi! I've had this problem for a long time, the screen freezes for 5-10 seconds, then turns on again and this inscription is written there (attached screenshot). I do not know what to do, I have an Nvidia GTX 1660 ti graphics card and 64 GB RAM. Please help me solve this problem!

hi! i downloaded a plugin called "magic bullet looks" following a youtube video. every time i try to download it, it always says "This installer application has been moved. It must run from its original folder containing a packages directory. The installer will now exit." i tried downloading it many times, but it keeps saying the same thing. does anyone know what i can do to fix this?

 At the image above, I would like the "coffee cup" to use the Null Object's rotation as a position. As you can see I am trying to make a clock animation, when the short hands points to 10 o'clock, the coffee cup should be there too but that's not the problem. 

I'm having this issue on every post 2020 versions of After Effects: When I flip horizontally or vertically a layer the rotation of all the layers linked to it get inverted. It's really hard to animate layers like that because the rigs start to behave way less intuitive.I would like to know if there's any way to solve this problem and make that the parented layers behave like they used to on older versions.
