hello everyone first of all i hope everyone doing fine my quesiton is how can i make this text moving like in the picture i want import to this video 

I'm working on keying out a product shot of a white/grey shoe with mint green elements. I'm running into some persistent issues with color contamination despite trying multiple approaches.Current Setup:Shot against blue screen (chose blue due to green elements in the shoe)Using Keylight 1.2, Key Cleaner, Advanced Spill SuppressorAlso tried roto brush and various masking approachesThe Problem: When using Keylight, I'm getting green semi-transparent zones in the grey areas of the shoe that I just can't seem to eliminate. Hi,Whenever i have 3d objects on my screen, and i move the camera around, some of these objects start moving by themselves. When i stop moving te camera around the objects stop moving. These objects are not animated, and when they move, i notice that the position coordinates don't change. Thats proof that they are not animated and should not be moving. The other obejcts do not move, but for some reason some objects do. I tried changing the coordinates of the anchor. It worked for one object. It stopted moving around. I tried to do the same for the other objects but it dindn't work. The objects that are moving, all move in the same direction. I checked the box for continious rastering, but that did not help. I cannot finish my project if some objects are moving around by themselves whenever i move the camera around. Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to get a grip on smart render and prerender, and what I'd like to do to start with is just set up the most basic condition, where smart render doesn't actaully do anything to the image. In that case, does prerender still need to checkout the layer and smart render needs to copy input to output? What would that code look like? All the examples are more complicated than that.Dan

Hello! I have brought the solution to the problem for everyone! Let me tell you, I faced the same issue as you, where the screen would go black and in worse cases, it would restart the PC. I'm currently on a 7-day free trial, haha, so if this works for you (which I know it will), leave a like on the comment—maybe the developers of "Ae" will consider rewarding me with a license, haha. Here’s what I did to solve this problem:#1 I downloaded these DirectX exe files and installed both (I am aware that Windows already comes with these libraries, but to be safe, it was better to reinstall in case something was missing). Link : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 directx.pngexpand image#2 Then I installed all the old versions of ".NET Framework" that were compatible with my system (version 2016 and later). Hello,I had a requirement of having a text layer with an expression that displayed the video name and the frame number of that video. So I searched around and with the help of ChatGPT I came up with an expression. (P.s I'm uploading my file with the expression because it's a little lengthy). But at random times the expression seems to bug out. The error comes as "Error : Error : this layer has no source". For some reason I found that this issue doesn't happen if I don't keep any other layers below the text layer with the expression. Like if I keep any shape layer it doesn't work. I only need to have video layers below it. But is there any workaround to this. I'm uploading my file and the error. Hopefully I can get a solution. 

I want to add marker on the timeline for my typography video. Using go to layer>add marker is slow for me and i want to use the shortcut key. but i dont understand how to press (numpad *). I press shift + 8 and it did add marker with number 8 but it will move if i press it on another timeline. How do i press numpad * ?

I'm using an attractor (layer from Null A to B) type setup:- this:linear(effect("Slider Control")("Slider"), 0, 100, thisComp.layer("Attract 06").transform.position, thisComp.layer("06").transform.position) The layer naem is Is there a way that i can link the layer name (which is Attract 06) to the expression "thisComp.layer("Attract 60") entry, it would save me quite a bit of double clicking and typing as i'll be going into triple figures with duplications. maybe a dynamic link or some kind of exprression link?? i'm all ears

Hi all,This is the attract layer to null object position  expressionthisComp.layer("YourNullObjectName").position; The trouble is when added it's an instant snap to the destination null object. Is there anexpression i can add or alter this, so i can highlight a number / strong of the attractor and then expression pick whip this to a slider control? Much in the same way we do to the wiggle expression to use velocity to turn it on and off. I'm looking to be able to use a 0 to 100% method with keyframes on a slider controller. So i can then add velocity and really chosen how to craft the animation to suit. Over to you good people:)Graham  

Hello, I have a problem with the Time Displacement effect, but I feel like I’m missing something. Applying this effect significantly increases my render time—normally, my renders take about 40 minutes, but with this effect, they take many hours longer. But today, the render doesn’t even start and gets stuck at 0%. I had to remove the effect to continue with my project today.  I suspect the effect is too heavy to render because, at full resolution, it won’t even preview and just loads indefinitely. Strangely, at 1/4 resolution, it previews and caches the entire area without issues. I expected it to render slowly, but instead, it doesn’t start at all. I might not fully understand how this effect works, especially why it causes such a performance hit. I know that whether the CPU or GPU is used depends on the specific effects, but I don’t really understand it that well. I've looked at other posts on here and have tried everything. However,  I keep having this issue. I am rendering 2D characters, however, when I use the set matte feature to give the characters bangs (I use this feature so that I can use a facial null to make it appear that the character is turning their head) it leaves the faintest outline where the "Head" shape is. I included a few screenshots to hopefully help with understanding what is going on.

Hi all, I have an After Effects project that I created to simplify and automate a weekly animation for my team that will automatically scale/place an image, and import text from a CSV file using expressions.  Everything works. However, occasionally, the CSV text will require a couple of words to be italicized. As far as I'm aware, there isn't a way to apply any sort of formating to the text in the CSV file. And I don't see any obvious way to isolate specific words for italics using expressions either.  Do any of you experts have some insight on a possible way to do this?  

I'm quite new to AE. I have made an image sequence. I would like it to be a slow ( dreamy) transition from one image to another. I would like each image to play for 30fps. I've played with the sequence settings ( overlap, duration from 1fps to 25fps, transition- off, dissolve front, cross dissolve) and everything I've tried gives me a jerky transition with a black fade somewhere in the transition. It's fine in iMovie, tempted to just do it there but wanted to use some AE magic.  Or shall I make a video in iMovie and edit it in AE?  Any help appreciated. It's probably obvious to you guys!Thanks in advance 

Can you tell me how to use one comp in different places with changes? I have seen many projects that create animation by using one comp and changing it according to them. In the panel, only one comp is used. How is this possible????

Hey Guys,I have a script which adds a bounce function to a property. It works fine. My only thin g i;d like to do is make sure it is only run when the property selected is keyframeable.Can someone help with a code snippet.Say if the user has a property that is keyframeable we say "Thanks" with an alert. if it is not keyframeable we can alert with "Not keyframeable". Love to see if anyone has a clever idea for this. or i've missed something obviious.Thanks In advance

I can sense there is a trick but I cant figure out,  and also how can I make a loop in such animation I dnt understand that either. any kind of guidance will be appreciated.. Please help me. :'(  

I was trying to make a logo reveal animation using the vegas effect. When I changed the blend mode to transparent, the whole image disappears. Anyone can help? 

Hello Everyone!! After I put the pre-compose on the clip, then I save the project and go back to After Effects again, the clips are shifted. This can be seen in the first picture. When I try to restore the clips, a part remains between them. ( 2 pictures )Does anyone have a solution for this?Thanks in advance!

I am getting multiple values from a layer property and saving them in a CSV file. However, I want to extract only the largest number (e.g., 7.1). You can see the attached image for reference. How can I retrieve only the largest value, either using a CSV file or without saving to a CSV? What blocks or logic can I use to apply this functionality in different scripts?Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello everyone, I encountered a problem. I want to use CMD to open my AE project file and run a script. So I wrote the following code： “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects 2025\Support Files\afterFX.exe” -project “C:\Users\kyle\Desktop\export.aep” -r “ C:\Users\kyle\Documents\20250110_02.jsx”    But after running it, I found that it only opens the AE main interface, but does not open the project file, nor does it run the script. When I delete the part of the code that runs the script, the project file opens successfully. Is there a way to use CMD to open the project file and immediately run the script? I would appreciate any responses. Thank you.

Il concetto è di rendere automatizzata la rotazione della cornice di testo per far si che il testo nell'area si modifichi di conseguenza. Questo video è stato realizzato tramite uno screenshot video da illustrator, rotando manualmente la cornice. Potete aiutarmi? esistono dei metodi per realizzare questa animazione? Grazie mille!

My after effects tool suddenly got reversed, i dont know what happend. I deleted after effects and then reinstall it but it didnt help.
