hi. im using a Victus by HP Gaming Laptop . Normally, i was using AE just fine. after a month of break, i open it and i can hear the voice but preview panel is completely blank, no matter what i do.I tried many ways i saw onlibe, restarted it, cleaned the cache, enabled mercury, updated my drivers and graphics card, etc. The problem is still there. I need to use the app urgently. I Will put my laptop specs and the ae screen. 

So since Premire pro removed Venetian Blinds, I need that effect to add to my time line.So I'm trying to make it in after effects, I make the blinds as I want to, but they only last a fraction of a second and then it just goes white.  I've never used after affects before, But I just want the effect to stay put for 30 seconds to I can add it as a layer on my premire pro proejct

Hi everybody, I am making short videos for a mobile application project. Initially, the videos were going to be used within a different platform but now they want to use these videos inside the mobile app. Videos are usually 10 seconds long and 750x1624 px. It contains mov, psd, and png format elements. I also used 3D camera movements. I'm trying to convert videos to JSON files via LottieFiles and Bodymovin but the translation fails because it doesn't support these files. How can I find a solution for this? AE v22.4.0 - Bodymovin 5.8.1 - LottieFiles v1.0

I’m facing an issue with the quality of my vector file in Adobe After Effects. After downloading my .ai file from Adobe Illustrator and pasting it into After Effects as composition layers, the file loses quality when zooming in, and the logo doesn't display correctly. Is there an internal setting I need to adjust when uploading vector files to ensure they maintain their vector quality? I have uploaded a vector, but it doesn’t seem to scale properly. Any advice on fixing this issue would be appreciated!

Hi community. Im using particular fluid physics simulation. Im trying to figure out where in the settings to make the fluid drip from the beginning of my timeline but cannot locate where in the settings to do it., but the fluid starts dripping after 5 seconds, and I need the fluid to start dripping from from timeframe 0.example: When a lid of honey comes off, the honey although more solid in liquid form, it starts immediantly to drip. Thank you.  

I updated After Effects to the new 24.5 and it just crashes upon the loading screen and supplies the error crash message - Last log message was: <194416> <MEE_Plugins> <5> /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore My setupiMac M1Mac Os 14.6 SonomaI have tried re-installing as well as installing AE Beta and older version of AE to see and I get the same error message, I basically can't open or run AE at all... I cannot do my day job now and am in trouble.

Hey there!I have recently begun programming for after effects (I have a basic knowledge of programming principles)I started using the Skeleton from the examples, tested out stuff and even changed it to make a fill effect.Now when I try to upload the Mangler project, Visual Studio opens After effects with no problem but I can't find the Mangler Effect.Couldn't find any errors related to the plugin in AE's log and when I try to launch it again with my Skeleton's version (Changed the name to Basics) it still works.Also checked and the Mangler.aex file is created.Any idea what is wrong here? I haven't changed a bit of the code 😞

Hello, I've been working with After Effects for some time and I've done keying, but I have a project where I'd like to use this footage. I've been trying for almost 2 days with a bit different approaches, but nothing works quite as it should, you can see that the spacer suit just has too much spill and is very shiny, plus the green screen room has different nuances of the green some pleats. I tried to enhance the color with Lumetri, but I guess it doesn't help much. What I currently have tried is doing multiple masks on the original layer and assigning multiple keylight effects for each of them. I have another comp for preserving the shadow. I also tried using Ae Scripts Composite Brush, but it just adds a little to the whole key, I guess it's not suitable for keying a subject that contains the exact same color as the background. Hi all, what is the best way to implement icons ( for clickable buttons ) in my after effects script UI? Without having to reference a .png path? So the .jsx file is selfcontained.

Les phrase n'étant pas toutes de la même longueur, la largeur de la compo est réglée sur la plus longue d'entre elles. Mais je souhaiterais que toutes les phrases, en jouant sur l'espacement entre les lettres, aient la même longueur : celle de la composition.Connaissez-vous un script ou une expression qui permettrait de faire cela, svp ?

The sound slows down in After Effects. There were no problems before, but suddenly the sound slowed down, when I set the same FPS the sound is slow, when I set 30 fps and in preview 60, the sound becomes normal, but the video is accelerated and it is not convenient to work like that, I also tried the convert method, it helps, but it takes time, help, who encountered this problem and how did you solve it🙏I've uploaded an additional video so you can understand how the sound slows down.

I just got this screenshot from my colleague who uses After Effects in his work. Seems like After effects is trying to collect some location data but it can't since the corresponding Windows service is off. So why does AE want to know where my friend is? 

Whenever I select rotobrush, it's just not working, behaving like the same selection tool. Please anyone help me!

I have textures in a folder next to the C4D object and they should work, how can I link them? 

I'm having issues launching After Effects of any version (24.6.3 & 25.0) as well as in Safe Mode. It finishes loading after the initial splash screen, but stops and freezes after loading the window (white screen). Attached is a visual of what appears on my end. I'm used to slow-er load in times, but I've let it wait to "load" for 10 minutes and nothing changes. When attempting to close the program, it also gets stuck trying to recover my information. No third-party plugins are installed, and launching in safe mode produces the same results. 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1255U 1.70 GHz16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable) RAM64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

When I am playing back a composition in 2025 after effects the screen will go black intermittently. I have tried all the fixes that worked previously, making sure that it is full screen, essential graphics composition and it is still happening. I do not have ANY plugins. My only issue that will hopefully be resolved soon is my RAM space. When I am running AE I have to make sure that all other Adobe apps are closed and I am constantly having to purge my cache.... If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.Thanks!

Not sure if this is the place to upload - but I haven't find any other place.I have recently begun learning AE plugin programming and been studying using projects based on the Skeleton project from the SDK. While I was training - suddenly the references became unavailable (while actually working) and even when I tried to open a new Skeleton project It was still like that.  Not sure if It's a problem with the SDK / Visual Studio itself.Anyone here expereienced anything similar?

When the deep glow is on, the animation behaves weirdly, when turned off it acts normally. Why is this? How do I fix it?

I've converted BG, FG and the sub ayer into 3d, and added a cam layer and a null object as u can see. Placed them accurately. But why the camera movement animation is not showing? Only the cam movement I'm seeing, no animation! Please Help Me!

So Here I am trying to edit an after effect template. the issue I'm facing is that when I use any of the template original 16:9 compostion inside my 4:5 aspect ratio compostion, I don't know why but the borders/edges of the layer gets cut off. I don't seem to understand why this is happening as I just entered in this field. I am attaching screenshots of both the original template composition, and the 4:5 compostion which I am trying to create.  Any helps would be appreciated.
