Did Adobe finally fix the Preview issue in AE 2026?Maybe I'm imagining things, but has anyone else noticed this?Until last week, Preview in the latest version of After Effects 2026 was almost unusable for me on Windows. I tried pretty much every workaround I could find here and on other forums, but nothing really fixed it. I was actually getting ready to roll back to an older version because it was becoming a daily headache.Then this week... it just started working normally again.Same projects, same machine, no major changes that I'm aware of. Preview is smooth and reliable now, and I haven't run into the issues that were constantly happening before.What's weird is that I never had the problem on my Mac, only on Windows.Did Adobe push some kind of fix recently? Was there an update that addressed this? Or are other Windows users still seeing the same Preview problems?I'd be interested to know if anyone else has noticed a difference over the last few days.

Hi ~!I have a question regarding camera tracking in After Effects. I tracked this scene/shot before and it worked fine, but I might have pressed a button that turned off the ability to select tracking points/hovering over them doesn't give me a target/bullseye either. (I am still able to view all the track points, just can't interact with it!) I tried it in a different project and it works fine, but each time i reopen my project the same thing keeps happening even after I retrack and solve it again. Any tips? Let me know if my problem is understandable! appreciate the help, thanks

Is there an equivalent of the Project Manager from Premiere in AfterEffects?  I keep running into the same issue, where I think I have saved a backup of a project only to come back to it later and find many of the assets are missing.  Yes, in a perfect world, all necessary assets would be in the same folder and this wouldn't be an issue.  But that is not my world.  I use the Project Manager in Premiere as the only reliable way to avoid this problem, and was very sad not to find a project manager or equivalent in AE.  Any suggestions?  Thanks much!

Been working on a project using the same version of AE for the past 6 months. Suddenly, drone footage that I’ve used since the beginning of this project is not previewing properly. I’ve tried emptying and clearing disk and conformed media caches, as well as reimporting the same clip. It skips frames, it plays some frames out of order, but then plays small chunks of the clip correctly.Any ideas?  

I am trying to open my After Efect but it always opens a window of how I want it to open like in safe mode or manage plugins or continue, and I try all, but they stay stuck for some reason, like 20 minutes stuck ! I have no Idea what to do !!

I have a notepad file wear there is multiple text in same graphics ,so how copy many sentences and paste into after effect diffrent comps with same design just to change text in every comp with one time copy paste ...is it possible without script

A NEW AMAZING BUG. Trying to vinculate a desyncronized AE comp in Premiere “Adobe After effects 2026 debe estar instalado para importar este archivo”, and obviously is installed and opened 😂

I have imported a layered Photoshop file into After Effects as a layered comp with several .psd "footage" layers:I've created and edited the comps within the 20s main comp with animations and effects. Now I need to extend the .psd layers(all ~7s) to the length of the main comp(20s).I've tried dragging to extend their regions and right-clicking > Time > Enable Time Remapping(this allows me to extend the region with keyframes, but the content still ends proportionally short of the containing comp duration).When I right-click the .psd layer and click "Open Layer Source", the preview shows the layer duration extending to the same time as it shows in the timeline(~7s)...but the green "render bar" only goes to 5s. And no content is showing while the playhead is at 6s, below...This is also reflected when I drag the playhead in the main comp timeline—the layers with this problem disappear at 5s even though their regions extend to 7s.1. I need to get these layer regions to extend the leng

I am trying to remove the sky and I have done it before, but it seems like keylight has new features? Or at least the masking tools have changed. Not sure if this is connected to what Premiere is doing but this is the biggest headache ever. Seems impossible to even deal with keylight anymore.So I cannot find for the life of me how Inside and Outside masks work. Also is there a reason why vertices are the most difficulty thing to deal with it. Every time I want to deal with one point on my mask it selects the entire masks and it seems to have a mind of its own when it wants to release one point or select the entire mask. This program is the worst to deal with not sure why they made it super difficult to do anything within AE. Any suggestions to either would be a huge help.

I am looking for a effect & preset which can give following vibration effect to a image. You can notice ruler is fixed & vibrating. I tried with “Wiggle” but not satisfied.  Video also attached.Vibrations in a steel ruler      

If you move multiple items at once in the Project Panel, you then have to Undo each item move one at a time. This could be really annoying if you accidentally move a bunch of items. The expected result would be a single Undo Group for the entire move. This bug is in the latest update as well as the Beta

IssueOn Windows (unsure of the exact Mac equivalent) pressing Ctrl+Backspace when editing text will typically delete the last word or set of characters up to a space or hyphen. In AE this behaviour does not happen.When editing the content of a text layer, pressing Ctrl+Backspace appears to have no effect.If editing a layer name (any layer, not just text layers) pressing Ctrl+Backspace will generate a non-printing character that displays as a rectangle, identified on https://invisiblecharacterviewer.com/ as U+007F. We have some AE licenses in the company. We usually work with raw sequences from Sony and Canon cameras on older versions of AE, but this time we upgraded from AE 24 to 26 (a bad decision). Now, when we import a Raw sequence, Camera raw opens and after we make some adjustements and clic “Save” it crash and AE too. Sometimes it works but if you want to make a new change in Camera raw, both crashes. I have tried all the following steps with several computers and the bug persists:1. Toggle Hardware Accelerated DecodingA known conflict often occurs when hardware acceleration interacts poorly with raw footage.In After Effects, go to Edit > Preferences > Import (or General on some versions).Uncheck Hardware accelerated decoding.Restart After Effects.2. Hey ​@JohnColombo17100380 ! are you aware of this bug? this white flash when opening 😔 (Windows 11).I also noticed a longer startup time compared to older alternatives like ConsoleFX. 

Issue : “Fill” effect and other miscellaneous pre-installed effects are entirely missing from the Effects Panel and “Manage Effects” windowAE version : 26.2OS : MacOS Tahoe 26.3.1What I did to try and fix the issue : reset Preferences uninstalled and reinstalled AE opened the “Manage Effects” window and activated all effects uninstalled and reinstalled in an older version (25.6.5)The last step allowed me to see “Fill” again in the list

Help!!! Im trying to export a 20s video at 60fps. Ive tried changing the CPU settings so its lower, tried exporting as apple pro res to help but nothing seems to work. It gets stuck half way when rendering (media encoder) and then i have to force quit. I dont get any messages about corrupted video file and have replaced the videos in the render with just one to see if that worked, but it didnt. It can do 4-5s of the video but just not the whole thing in one goAttached is an example. happy to share AF files as im not sure its my computer that cant handle it. thanks

I want to keyframe audio going from silence to some audible level. I set the stop watch for audio levels at the beginning of a wave form and drag the level slider down, and move the CTI later into the track and increase the audio at that point by dragging the audio level slider,, though when the CTI hits the waveform it is still playing the audio even though I tried making the audio silent at the first keyframe. What do I need to do to make the audio not audible on the first keyframe? Thank you

Hi Everyone, I’m having a weird problem. A certain expression works on AE GUI but it does not work when rendered with aerender.I am trying to create a dynamic creative app for my agency. Basically, I have an aep template that has a json object. I modify the json and render via aerender.I can change text, images, videos, text style, etc dynamically. Here’s the problem:I can’t change a shape’s color with aerender. The json is parsed correctly (textboxes show the values correctly, and even hexToRgb conversion is done correctly). But the shape does not seem to pickup color. When I open the AE GUI, it runs correctly. However, aerender does not render correctly. I tried different methods, including putting the expression in shape’s fill color, using a color object, linked with the shape embedding the shape in a comp and using tint / fill effects. All these methods I mentioned work in AE GUI with no problem. However they don’t work in aerender. The color code comes from the json correctly, bu
