After Effects

I was wondering if I would be able to take a lower third that was made in Illustrator and add it to After Effect and animate it, make it responsive as well as make it a MOGRT?  I have  included an image file. There are sublayers in this. Where would I be able to find a tutor on this if it is possible as I am new to this.Thanks everyone. 

Hi All , ive imported a PSD file into Premiere pro ive replaced it with an after effects composition but when AE opens the layers are all imported but only a few are visible , ive noticed that the ones that are visible have the pupils visible whereas the ones that arent arent showing .  

Hi, when i use twixtor, ( according to the tutorials in youtube which works) when i lower the speed to /90 the screen goes black but everything is fine at /91.I've fixed the red screen error now this..Help.

Hello, I can't find any infomation on this anywhere on the web. I have a logo that is a Cauldron with Musical Notes coming out of it. I would like to animate the musical notes as bubbles coming out of it. How do I do that? I know about the CC Bubbles in Simulation. But I want only the musical notes to be bubbles coming out of the cauldron. I am wondering how to do that, Can anyone help with this?

Hi all,I'm currently using After Effects 5... yes that is version 5, not CS5.I'm trying to figure out if I can import a group of layers and their applied Effects in to another project while keeping all the editable attributes and the positions of the imported layers with respect to one another.I see that I can import a AEP project file in to another project via IMPORT FILE, but that just brings the raw layers/files in to the project window and does not place the layers in the timeline with all of their positions, Effects and edited attributes, the way that I'd like.I also tried Pre-Composing the layers, but that does not leave them editable once a pre-comp has been made... it just makes the 7 layers that I want to import in to another project all one layer and does not leave them editable the way the the 7 layers are separately.In Adobe Premiere, there is an actual "IMPORT PROJECT" selection under IMPORT that allows me to import an entire project file in to another project and lets me

Hi, I'm brand new to After Effects and I'm trying to clone stamp a small section of a large video. Once I apply clone stamp, it stays for remainder of video. How do I clone stamp only a small section of the video and then turn it off?

Helloo, I'm a regular middle schooler who happened to have a chemistry presentation next week. I wanted to make a quick animation on after effects and bring it onto my school ipad through google drive so I can imput in into my presentation. The problem is: I cannot make the background transparent and I've tried every tutorial I could find! Through After Effects, via Media Encoder, etc. It may be due to my lack of knoledge of basics in Adobe programs (since I only animate as a hobby) so if you have any advice, please tell me. If there's any information you need, feel free to ask me. As you can see I'm really desprate right now... sorry, english is my 3rd language.

Why does exporting using AfterEffects' render queue use so much memory?When exporting via AME, memory is properly freed, but when using Ae's render queue, memory is used inexhaustibly, as it is during preview playback.This is undesirable behavior.My guess is that the frames are stored in memory, just as they are during preview playback.However, since the user opens the exported file, there is no need for the frames to remain in memory.Why is this designed this way?Are there any plans to improve it?

The Element 3d tab is not showing any preview and I noticed that my AE is using the “Intel UHD Graphics” instead of my dedicated graphics card. Any ideas how to fix this?   

I need to change my preferences inside After Effects and Premiere Pro, but for some reason the screen freezes indefinitely and I have to force quit it. My PC is a Windows 10 machine. I have tried this on:Adobe Premiere V 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021Adobe After Effects V 2024, 2023, 2022The same behavior is present in all of those versions. Media Encoder does not have this glitch though. I have no idea how to fix this glitch, I have searched through multiple forums/discussions and so far none of them have helped me fixed it. Can I remove layer(s) from multiple comps at once? Script maybe, acts on the selected layer(s) name(s)

Hi, How to adjust one layer settings for multiple compositions at the same time.I have a layer that I use in several compositions. I would like to find a quicker way than go through all compositions to change the layer settings. Is there a script for this?For example:Can the layer setting "mode" be adjusted from "normal" to "color" in multiple compositions at the same time?This would really help me.Anybody have an idea? Kind regards

Fonts not changing in essential graphics, Specially with older files,We need to re-apply the expression or re-link the path.Adobe please look into it.

Hi all,Pulling my hair out as latest After Effects and Premier are crashing the latest Ventura. I'm running a 2019 Mac Pro. Issue happens on rendering or exporting. In Premier after the latest updates the Export function doesn't work. In After effects, it crashes on pre render auto save or just after a render is attempted. Causes Finder to cease working. Any ideas/fixes would be welcome. Have tried trashing preferences. All Adobe 2022 are running fine with no issues.thanks,Steve

Hi everyone!I recently had a new PC built with the following specs:- i9-14 processor- Asus Z790 ProArt Creator motherboard- 128 GB RAM DDR5 5600 MHz- plenty of SSD NVMe storage- NVidia RTX 4080 Founders Edition GPU- Windows 11 OS- All adobe apps clean installed today After installing Adobe apps, I was shocked to learn that despite having all the bios, firmware and system drivers up to date, Media Encoder keeps causing BSODs of varying error codes when I try to render out my clips.Could you please advise me on how to proceed? Here is the most recent BSOD. UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f)I have attached a text file of the WinDbg analysis of the minidump file. I managed to render out one clip today (completely un-edited, no effects) after trying twice. I am unable to view the values of the properties that I would like to edit, but I can see these properties in the 'layer transform' and the 'audio' panels. Is there any way I can restore it to view the properties besides the timeline? Thank you! 

Hi! When I activate the collapse transformation button on the composition, 3D does not work. Unfortunately, when I deactivate the collapse transformation button to make 3D work, all the effects/blending modes used in the composition stop working. What should I do? I have too many layers to put them all into one composition.

Seems latest build is causing me issues with effects panel not opening up when layer selected that has an effect appied, and also clicking on a layer, seeing the effect show up, and it's not the right effect for that layer but is showing effect from another comp and when clicking on it goes to that comp. Anyone else having issues with effects panel?

Hi,I made a mac update not so long ago. And now I can't use After Effects anymore. I get a strange red screen (please see screenshot below) and if I drag an image into the scene, I can't see it. I read online that it's a bug, after doing a mac update. And apparently, it can be fixed with Adobe updates. So I went into 'Help', 'Updates', but it does not offer an update for After Effects. I did already clear the caches. So how do I fix this?I would appreciate any help, I really need to use After Effects

Okay so I admit I am just a week into learning AE but something has me confused. I created a comp that is 3d. Then I used that 3d comp in another composition and when I place the original 3d comp in the new comp the items are not showing as 3D, they are flat. What am I missing?

Hello, Is there a faster way to delete a whole bunch of user imported OBJ files from Trapcode Suite? I accidentally imported an OBJ animation sequence as individual OBJs. The sequence was about 350 frames long so now I have 350 OBJ files in the user 3D model section that I need to delete. I can only seem to delete them one by one and After Effects is so extremely so slow at doing this. At that rate it will take me hours to delete them one by one. I've tried searching the system (Mac OS Sonoma) and tried searching invisisble files but cannot find them.  If I could locate them in the system I could just grab them all at once and delete. Anyone have any ideas? Many thanks

What I want I want to be able to do is be in premier pro > essential graphics and drag my graphic template on, which is an overlay for a webinar with text on top, the text is part of the essential properties and is editable. But during these webinars, I may need to change to a different overlay, the text would be in a different place too. What I need to therefore happen is a toggle/button or anything that allows me to basically toggle on a pre comp or several layers and enable another set of pre comp/layers. Essentially multiple versions of one graphic inside one template?

Is it possible to apply faux text styles from the Essential Graphics panel to multiple text fields? I'm trying to create a lower thirds mogrt where the text and styles are all linked but the position of the graphic, direction of the animation, etc changes with each one. Position would be picked from a dropdown menu in the mogrt. I've gotten the source texts linked to match, but the styles won't link. As you can see in the screenshot, all caps is chosen for the Title, and it works on the left side, but not the right. I currently have the source text and the different colors pick whipped to the Essential Properties in the Left Aligned comp so they are all linked. Because the text and faux styles are added within the Essential Graphics panel, I couldn't get those included. I was planning on pre-comping each position so the dropdown menu options would work. Is there an Expression Control preset for font that can be used more globally? Or a scripted reference I could put in the text ex

Hi gang; I have used Cairo on Windows for SDK development and it works great. However, I am struggling to get it set up on a Mac in order to compile a Mac version. I am wondering if someone can help getting it to work. These are the steps I've done: 1 - Installed MacPorts2 - Installed Cairo through MacPorts by going to this website: https://ports.macports.org/port/cairo/ and entering the sudo command in my terminal.3 - Confirmed Cairo is installed by typing "port contents cairo".
