After Effects

I'm trying to add the Position parameter of a Puppet Pin to Essential Graphics and am getting the error:After Effects error: internal verification failure, sorry! {index must be specified for lookup in indexed group) (29 : 0)The layer with the Puppet Pin is embedded two levels into Compositions. I've tried purging all caches and restarting AE to no avail. Any thoughts? Thanks. 

HiI have an animation that I made in Adobe Animate, and I would like to import it into After Effects for compositing. I am new to using After Effects. I imported the Adobe Animate file to After Effects directly, but the issue is that when I press "space bar" to watch the animation or click on the timeline the video lags a lot and does not display the animation. Also the render time is very for every layer. What is the best way to import my animation while avoiding lag? Is there a setting I should use or should I export the animation as a png sequence? I have a lot of layers in the animation and the animation is 1 minute long. Thanks for your help!

Hi All, I would like to check if this is happening to me only or this is the product work in general. I have After Effect 15.1.1 version and PC Win 10 / 32Gb RAM/ Samsung 960 M.2 SSD / i7-7820X / GTX 1070 8Gb. When I'm doing a tracking of a small area and tracking of a slow movement it takes more than a minute to move from frame to frame. I do not see any CPU usage or memory usage while tracking, looks like it does nothing all the time and only the last second create a point and move to another frame. Maybe I have some misconfiguration, however, I did not found anything or any kind of settings related to a tracking mode specifically. Note: I did try it on the 4k video, Full HD video and even on 720p video, the result is exactly the same. Each frame tracking done in between 60 to 80 seconds.Do you have any suggestions about it? Odd bug has surfaced. When double-clicking an .ae project file (work in progress) in the Finder, After Effects launches but the project doesn't open. All AE panels are empty as if  the app was launched by itself. Same thing happens when right clicking on an .ae project file and selecting 'Open With...' [Adobe After Effects 2024.app (default). The project file doesn't open. The only option for opening an .aep project is to launch After Effects and open the project  via the Menu command 'Open Project...' This applies to all .ae project files. Other Adobe apps I use, Photoshop, Illustrator etc, don't exhibit this behaviour, double-clicking on a project file launches the app and presents the project. macOS Sonoma 14.5After Effects 24.4 (build 47)Mac Studio M2 Ultra

Est depuis de début sur After j'ai un probleme de prévisualisation.After ne lit que quelque frames en boucle sans erreur juste quand je veux lire ma timeline, il ne va me lire que quelque millième de seconde.Si j'avance dans la timeline pareil, que de micro seconde. Seul solution quitter et redémarrer After... Merci pour votre aide

Hi,I'm exporting a simple glb ring straight from Painter to AE.In AE, I've got that 3D circle.I'd like to have both my ring and circle showed on the same point of view (see screenshot). In a front view, my AE 3D circle is well on a front view but my ring is on a side view.I want to superimpose them as I'll be able to animate both of them.Actually I'd like to rotate my ring and have a null objet to circle around, which be easy if I could superimpose them . Thanks for your help. AE crash frequently, sometimes even just open the software and I did not do anything, it will just disapear without any  have tried both win11 and win10 ,The driver is the latest version of nvdia Studio, I've also tried different versions including 2024 boxes of 2023 AE, The same problem will occur, Attach a log file to help see what the problem is。

One day when I opened the program it tells me in a window that "AfterFX.exe has encountered a problem"; and, pressing a button, closed the program.I know it has to do with the afterFX.exe file, but I have no idea what I have to do with it to get my program back.I tried to fix this by uninstalling and reinstalling my After Effects. The AfterFX.exe window still appears.I would like to find a solution for this that does not require a Command Prompt.

Hello dear Adobe community, here with you with another bug that'll not be solved again!This problem is here with me for 3-4 months, whenever I change layout in Premiere Pro & After Effects, my cursor spams loading icon and I can't right click in both programs, and can't click at all in Premiere Pro. Now I want to look at Learn section, but I can't for some reason. No problem in default, when I change this happens. It just spams like its clicking, makes me unable to click, and doesnt shows Learning section for some reason.I need to solve this. Just dont do it is not answer.

version 24.4.0 build 47When i copy 2 layers parented to a NULL and paste them the "parent &link" will get removed. Only if i copy the NULL as well the parent & link artibutes gets copied as too.Before the update it was working as expected. This is some nonsense and i hope it is not a feature, because what would be f***ing stupid and would really mess up my workflow.Downgrading to the latest version now.  

contacted Adobe support, who tried to troubleshoot the issue over 1 hour plus, but couldn't find anything to resolve the issue. I previously and him, had checked settings within AE, and locally within my Macbook M1 whilst going through other common troubleshooting steps like checking for audio volume, audio hardware settings under preferences, and so on. The only way I found to resolve this is keep copying all layers, when this happens, then close the comp and paste all said layers into a new comp. But this is not workable for a workflow at all. The audio track(s) would play fine on their own within After Effects (when double clicked within layers panel to open up in their own live preview window) or locally within the MacOs's Finder. Adobe support guy tried pre-composing all layers and the audio plays fine but once he goes into the layers by clicking on the pre-comp, then the same issue persists. Anyone faces this on their M1 Macbook and know a way to resolve

Hi everyone!When i'm trying to render and replace a After effect composition inside Premiere Pro, the clip is rendered but it's not replace, i have to manually put on top of the After effect compositin, but when i watch other people's tutorial, it work perfectly fine and the After effect composition is automatically replaced.How can i fix this ?

Hi, with my After Effects exam in 4 weeks I am trying to install AE but keep getting the 0::42 notification when trying to open it directly or via GMetriX (exam program).I can open it through a project but I need to access it by opening AE itself or GMetriX. Hi there, I've created a two concentric boxes, meant to look like a computer/browser window(first image). I'm trying to figure out how to scale the height and width independently, while maintaining stroke width. I've made two rectangle shape layers of the same stroke, and applied the following expression to stroke width of both: value / length(toComp([0,0]), toComp([0.7071,0.7071])) || 0.001; Now if I scale either of the boxes(or both together with a null) this works fine, and stroke is maintained. However, the upper/inner box needs to have keep a constant height, and I'd like to be able to resize the larger/outer into a variety of shapes, rather than just the current 16:9 shape. But if I try and seperate the scale width from height and alter either independantly, the expression doesn't seem to work. (I don't get an error, but the strokes just expand or compress with the scale). Any ideas why? Or would anyone have a alternative workflow or workaround that could

While working on a project, After Effects has crashed about 7 or 8 times between yesterday and today. I cannot pin point what I'm doing when it happens. Some of the time I am moving text around, others its adjustuing keyframes. I have started in Safe Mode, I have started with any plug-ins and nothing has worked. Every option I try, it keeps crashing. The alert when it crashes says this:I have no idea how to fix this. The only third-party plug-in I use is CompSetter.I'm working on a macOS Sonoma 14.2.1, year 2020Processor:  3.8 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7Graphics:  AMD Radeon Pro 5500 XT 8 GBMemory: 32GB If anyone has any insight as to what I can do, I would be so greatful! hi i previously had adobe after effects 2022 but i degraded to after effects 2020 and uninstalled Ae 2022 but whenever i install fxconsole plugin my after effects crashes on opening i had this problem before too but that was fixed when i renamed mediacore folder to mediacore-old but now i have both folders : mediacore and mediacore-old so if i use old method my all plugins get removed so what should i do to install fx console now , i need it really bad please help

Actualicé Trapcode Particular desde su versión 15.0 a 2024.2.0 ya que en After Effects (desde su versión 2022 aproximadamente en adelante, actualmente con la versión 2024) aparecían unas 'x' rojas tapando los efectos de Particular, pidiendo actualización para corregir el error, pero ahora que porfin actualizo Trapcode en Maxon, me está dando error en After Effects (no aparecen efectos, y en su lugar, un error de la Maxon App con mi cuenta) Como pueden ver, si voy a la App de Maxon. aparece abajo que mi serial Trapcode 15.0 está ok, instalada y funcionando, pero si bien Trapcode (en medio de la imagen) está en su última versión 2024.2.0 actualizada 'up to date' no funciona.Cabe destacar que este Update fue GRATIS desde la Maxon App.Espero respuesta urgente.Saludos y gracias por adelantado.  

I'm trying to create a responsive textbox with an animated typing effect. I used expressions to make the textbox responsive, but it doesn't start in sync with the typing animation. it just starts right away.is there anyone who knows how to do this?And also how to give this expression Ease Ease.  

Say im working on a one project with multiple entirley different graphical shots, I generally like to keep all of those shots in one AE project for ease, everytime I start on a brand new shot, I create a folder and create the comps/pre comps (i label them with the prefix [pre] for precomp and [master] for the top layer comp, not sure if this is the best way to orgnaise either) within that folder, and repeat for all shot i have to work on, is this normal practice or is there a more industry standard way im missing? Thanks!

I want to adjust the in and out times of layers independently, but when I change one of the two using an explicit value in the in/out column, the other value automatically adjusts so that the total time the layer is displayed remains constant.How can I decouple them?
