Ever since the update, whenever i make or try to use a preset it doesn't save the keyframes. 

Hello! Been working to see if I can find a workaround for my misaligned Thai accent mark characters. I am using a previously working font Arial MS Unicode for Thai in After Effects. I am using lastest version 23.6 on Windows 11.I've been scouring the Adobe forums/web for a solution. I have been plagued by the same problem since last year until now. After using it for a while ae started to appear unresponsive to any action, it felt like the cache was stuck. Clearing the cache and restarting AE didn't help, the only solution was to restart the computer. But after using it for a while it continues to do this again.When you clear the cache, the screen disappears.When this happens, even if I create a new project, AE doesn't work and the solution is only to restart.AE version ：23.6   （I've tried almost every updated version in the past year to as well as the older versions in the Creative Cloud）And I've tried if it's a problem with certain plugins, even if I don't install and use any plugins it still does it. Version :Windows 10 ProfessionalVersion number: 22H2Installation date :2023/8/2 (I tried reinstalling my computer 2 times and it didn't fix the problem.) I'm a ten year user of AE, this computer is about four years old, and suddenly this problem

I think the picture down here speaks for itself, but the maximum disk cache size is not being respected. There's something to say if it is necessary to have a bit more, like 5% - 10% of leeway. But filling 136GB on a 50GB limit is a bit much.  This is on Adobe AE version 24.0.3 (Build 2) on MacOS Sonoma 14.0, but the same issue occurs on my Windows 11 PC.

Everytime I save a workspace, it gets updated with a properties panel, and my effects size panel gets reduced, please fix so HOW i HAVE MY WORKSPACE SAVED STAYS AS HOW I HAVE MY WORKSPACE SAVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everybody, This is kind of a dumb question, but I'm stuck in a situation where I need to find a way to export a layer with optical flares on it. As we know, optical flares need the blending mode set to Screen or something similar to shine on top of another layer. Well...I have an object that I need to shine with this, but it needs to be used as as cursor object in a game. So it can't rely on any layers below it. (attached) Is there a technique or plugin that can allow me to export/render out this object with full color but without the black? The optical flare is really the key issue (no pun intended) as the glow can render fine independently.   

Hello,To get a slight delay in my animation on each duplicated groups, i made this simple expression on a trim path :i=(thisProperty.propertyGroup(2).propertyGroup(1).propertyIndex)-1;value + valueAtTime(time+i/10) But i just want only one set of keyframes to control every groups. if i replace the "value" by a slider control for example, the delay no longer works. I don't know why.Any idea? Thanks

Hi. I'm hoping someone at Adobe can confirm what I think I've already figured out through trial and error. I have scenes and models textured in Adobe Stager that I am trying to import into After Effects bringing the materials along with the import. As an example I've imported a .glb file with around 6 bodies each with a different material used. Some of the materials make the journey to AE and some do not leaving my scene partially textured. Glass materials and others using translucency don't seem to work while a basic rubber or plastic material will work. Has anyone else had missing materials and does anyone at Adobe want to verify that not all materials are currently compatible? We're so close to being able to use AE for our motion graphics but our products are moslty glass!

Hi there, I may be missing a simple step here, but i'm kinda lost on how to make a footage Start in a Slow motion and smoothly transition to it's normal playback speed.I've tried using the Time-remap And edit the Speed graphs, but it always do weird stuff like thisThanks in advance. 

Hi,I run with a now macstudio and opened AE lastest version (23) and started with new project. While I tried to save the project on external SSD it wrote me error with saving. When I saved on the local disk into mac, it works. Could you please help me to solve it?Thank you!Aleš

I've noticed for sometime now, but today it really has come to head... in After Effects, i have noticed that you can track something perfectly (manually frame by frame of course, AE on it's own can't track anything)... so with the tracking done and the info added to either a null object or a effect (in this case, the distortion mesh offset in the Liquify effect) hit apply and what do you get? THE TRACK GOING ALL OVER THE PLACE NO WHERE NEAR WHERE THE TRACK EVER WAS!!! YOU CAN SEE IT IN THE EFFECT, CAN SEE IT IN THE MESH WHEN TICKING IT FOR VIEWING, EVEN THE [reference to profanity removed by moderator] TRACK WIRE FRAME CAN BE SEEN DIPPING BELOW WHERE A TRACK MARK EVER WAS.WHAT IS THIS? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY?IT FLAT OUT DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!!The track looks accurate before applied to anything, once applied all the work is completely ruined...pretty infuriating... not sure anyone has a solution as it IS 100% the software being a worthless dumper fire no where near worth what it is costing it'

I was trying to integrate node editing functionality with reactflow in my extension.But the mouse dragging is extremely lagging barely useable. I tried to find the cause with performance to in the devtools. But the weird thing is after click the recording button the dragging become smooth! When I stop recording the dragging become lagging again. (see attached video) I tried setting z-index and transform to translateZ(0) and also will-change: transform but no luck.It seems that AE imposed some limitation on extensions.Is there any workaround?

I have a layer with 20 objects from illustrator. I remember there's a wild distort effect, which increases certain parts of the layer and moves others around etc.. Is there an effect that wildy increases and decreases a layer randomly? Or a plugin that wildly changes the opacity or size of a layer?

Hi Each layer type have a small layer icon. A star for a shape layer or a camera for a camera layer. Is there any way to change these in an AEGP to my own custom? Thanks,Jakob

Is there any way to use the blending mode implemented in AfterEffects with the plug-in?I would like to know if there is an API such as AEGP, etc., as it would be troublesome to implement it myself.If there is no API, I would appreciate it if you could provide me with a page where the blending mode calculation formulas are compiled.

Hi everybody, I'm tasked with making a maze. So I have this complex SVG....object. I found a page that said just copy/paste from Illustrator to an arbitrary shape layer. They were it. it works, but....For this operation the complexity created a slew of masks insteadof lines/shapes and the stroke won't adhere (attached). So...for something like this, what would be a solid approach to get this vector grid into after effects as a massive stroke object? 

Pretty much as the tittle says. Once i start AE the program freezes at the launch screen and doesn't work. I already try the safe mode and installing previous versions, it hasn't work either. The pc setup is:AMD Ryzen 7 6800HNVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPUAMD Radeon Graphics16 GB RAMDirectX 12 Another programs as Illustrator, Ps or even Premiere works fine. I'm clueless.

Hello! I'm a beginner and Im trying to save the effects/keyframes as a preset from an adjustment layer and it saves just fine but when I add the preset to another layer, it just doesnt work and i can't edit the keyframes. How can I solve this, please?

I need some advice on executing an map animation. This is a continuously rasterized question primarily. If I take a vector file (map) I brought in from Illustrator and apply the CC Sphere effect to it do I loose the ability for AE to continously raterize that vector map? I assume the answer is yes. I need to zoom into the globe (map that has CC Sphere applied to it) and still hold good resolution. My map size is 6176 x 3648. I'm getting an AE error message After effects error: buffer size (31930x18862). (37 :: 102). I am assuming the file is WAY too large for AE to handle so my question is what is the best way to handle an effect like CC Sphere and raster?  I know I'm not asking this question properly but basically I want to zoom into the globe and have good resolution without getting that error message OR maybe there is a better way to create this animation? Thanks in advance!  

Old project opened in new 2024.4 AE. Comments in expressions show up as error. Attached is the error notice. I have AE open in safe mode, error still pops up, but does crash AE when not in safe mode.
