After Effects

Hi, I'm new to after effects. What I need to do with this image is basically transform it into four different animations for a video:1. So I need the image to start dim - and then the red courage arrow lights up/fills up with colour - from bottom to top of arrow - then the centre purple circle lights/fills up.Then the same with the three other arrows.2. Whole image dim - orange connected arrow fills up - then the centre purple circle fills up.3. Whole image dim - green empathy arrow fills up - then the centre purple circle fills up.4. Whole image dim - blue authenticity arrow fills up - then the centre purple circle fills up.Hope that makes sense. Any help with this very much appreciated!

I cannot save my project on my disk, anyone can explain this why ? 

Hi, I'm aware of the following shortcuts: A - ANCHOR POINTP - POSITIONS - SCALER - ROTATIONT - OPACITY Is there a shortcut for adding a keyframe for ANY selected property? I'm adding keyframes to an effects property and am curretnly having to add each one via the Animation menu... sloooooooooow. Thank you!!

Hey guys, i am very new at this ,trying to do some 3D tracking & placement. Step 1 . I have found how to do the simple workflow , but when i render my shots, it gives out a BLACK BACKGROUND , i changed the alpha settings, that i found out about in a tutorial. ( in the project render settings ). Step 2 . when i import to After Effects , the model from unreal , it gives me a fully BLACK background( should be transparent ?? ) . Here i uploaded a video of settings and the after effects problem & my render settings.thank you very much I know people here are high level, but i don’t know what else to do, since i have seen tutorials, but nothing works to give me a transparent background.Thank you all . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMbsY4ivDuI

Hi Everybody, I'm tryinf to figure out how to copy comp markers from one comp to a parent comp. Now I don't mean markers in the layers, I mean the markers on the main timeline up top to the same timeline position but in the parent comp. I know I can copy the comp into the parent and the markers go with it, but I don't want the marker on the layer, only the top timeline. Is that possible?

What happened to pre-render  layer comp so that it can be used more effectively if that layer comp is final?

A part of my timeline disappeared, I think I pressed a button by accident, and it disappeared, does anyone know how to fix it?

It's been like this for a little while and across versions of After Effects. I don't know what setting I have changed along the way, but After Effects only displays Extensions installed to ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/ but not /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/Works as expected on another computer of mine. Any thoughts? SOLUTIONI trashed my CEP folder in /Library/Application Support/Adobe/ and re-installed an extension using ZXP Installer from aescripts. macOS Mojave 10.14.6After Effects 17.1.2

After I preview, the timeline zooms all the way back out to show the entire project, and the playhead returns to the beginning. Is there a way to stop the playhead at a certain point, and prevent the timeline zoom from resetting as well?Thanks in advance.

Hi, I've tried using many different templates found on Envato and when I export and use in Premiere it has a black background. I've tried toggling the transparency button and using RGB+Alpha and a bunch of other different codec settings when exporting (watched all the YouTube clips I could find on it), and am having no luck.One YouTuber suggested exporting using PNG settings however my After Effects doesn't have that available in the drop down. Appreciate any help! Thank you

So I animated a layer from 0% opacity to 100% so that it slowly fades in but the thing is that it doesn't looks smooth instead it looks like it hops to the next percentage each frame or something. Even when rendered.Did anyone experienced the same and is there a fix? Would help a lot, thanks.

I would like to make a morph from a shape (circle) to a letter ("S"), but vertices are made counterclockwise when the shape is created from a text, while clockwise in normal shape, so the morph looks weired. How can I solve this problem?  

Hello everyone, I had a questions in regards to Frame rate. So if my project in maya is set to 30 frames but when it was time to Batch render my Tiff Sequence I ended up rendering every other frame to save time. But I noticed that when I imported the Tiff Sequence to AE the video was super speed up. So does that mean that my frame rate is now 15 frames?  And has a test to this I ended up changing all my compositions to 15 frame rate to see if the render videos would play at the true animated speed I did not work. I ended up witht he same results a speed up rendered video.  I can sure use a hand here. Thank you in advance. 

so I've got a project that has 12 layers in it and I can edit them simply by a folder called " edit " in the project section but I want to duplicate those 12 layers and be able to edit them the same way without affecting the original layers. it's not a pre-comp. how can I do that?I'd appreciate any help.

I just started using the CreativeCloud and I am having problems with using the Team Project function in After Effects and in Premiere. I started a team project in Premiere, and shared it with my collaborator, but she could only open the project and none of the files were there. Then she shared another Team Project with me in After Effects, I was able to open it, but it was entirely blank. What's happening here? Can somebody please help! I searched all sorts of tutorials but nobody is having this problem! Please note that when I try to click on TeamProject/Get latest changes in After effects, the option is offline and not clickable.  Thanks!Paula

Hi! I've finally gotten my video and running and am really happy with it - Expect after I export and render some of the lines seem to have a dark edge or halo. Is there anyway I can alter this? image is poor as is a screen shot Thanks so much!

I accidentally ended up enabling some function, where every layer with 3D enabled is as if there was a camera already ready, does anyone know how to solve it? As you can see in the image below, the solid layer only has 3D enabled, there is no camera, and I didn't even change the settings, but it was kind of sideways.

Does anyone know how to rectify this in AE?It does'nt seem to matter what render settings I use I can't seem to get AE (or AME) to render red type correctly. As you can see from this screen grab, the viewport displays red on white exactly as it should, but the render seems to add a black outline, almost like an inner shadow. Thanks in advance

Hey, so im exporting a PNG sequence where i have animated an original PNG. The problem is when exporting the PNG sequence there is a slight qulity loss from the original that was used. I don't know if this is due to Import or Export settings but im wondering if theres a way to remove it so that the PNG that gets exported is of the same quality as the one that was imported.I have attached the two files so you can see the difference

Hi all, I have a really frustrating problem. I have a scene with particle world being used to generate some snow. All good so far but when I play through, or render, the particles stop emittiing at 10 seconds and I cannot for the life of me work out why.Any help is more than welcoome.Thanks! 

Hello,I wanted to achieve an animation that is mentioned in the video that I'm attaching. I tried achieving it with a text repeater, but it's not giving me the same output. I used the opacity property to give the animation of fading out. But it's not looping. Like how can I achieve the same as in the video.  I'm attaching my files as well. 

I can't open it, it freezes while "Initializing MediaCore", sometimes I got lucky and opened it but it freezes and shut down by itself. I checked the internet but there are no proper answers about why it happens.
