After Effects

I created the objects in Illustrator with 3000x3000 artboard size. Seperated parts on layers and imported to AE (1080x1080 comp). I activated "Continously Rasterize for the Comp and all the elements but still it didnt change the quality at all. Pixels are visible without a big zoom. Any solutions? 

Hey! So when i use S_RackDefocus and turn up the use gamma, it makes the clips have some weird looking and glitchy scan line stuff. I've also tried reinstalling BorisFX Sapphire, but also didnt seem to fix it.

Hello, I have an issue in AE where if I click and drag on a line of text it wont let me select the last letter, this happens if I click and drag left, or right. I have no idea what is causing this.   I thought it was the GPU - I have an Zotac RTX3080 I swapped it out for an RTX 3070 and am still having the same issue. I uninstalled AE Juice as that seems to cause random problems with AE now, and am struggling to figure out what may be causing this.   I have a Core i9 10920x an Asus Rog X299E mother board, 64gb of Ram DDR 3600 (XMP is on) and the Zotac RTX 3080 - I have updated graphics drivers and still no luck. I was running two 4K monitors, and have unplugged on thinking that maybe that was an issue, but no luck.   Please help. I am losing my mind with this problem.

when i create a black layer and select screen he doesnt screen 

I'm trying to work with a piece of stock footage that has an alpha channel, but I'm getting strange results in After Effects. It's mostly acting as though the footage has a black background with no alpha channel, but the alpha channel will flicker in and out briefly when I scrub through the timeline. This is flickering in and out is there even when I render the footage, and it doesn't seem to be consistent where and when it decides to show the alpha channel. Even zooming in and out on the composition window seems to cause the alpha channel to appear and dissapper. I've tried adjusting the interpret footage seetings, but to no avail. Any ideas on a workaround or any other settings I could adjust? The footage is ProRes 4444 , and I'm running AE 24.3.0 on 2023 Macbook Pro with Sonoma 14.4.1.

Hi everyone In some YT videos I have noticed that the color of the context menu items when hovering is blue with white text, mine instead is of a light grey difficult to see, could I ask what color is yours??

Hi everybody! Everytime i try to use the color range eyedropper tool, it turns into the main tool leaving the segment in the effects. Does anybody has a solution to this? (see little movie i made of the problem)I use After Effects 24.3.0 on a mac Studio M1 with Sonoma 14.4.1 thank you!Martin

Hello everyone, I am a bit stumped with a lower third .mogrt I am creating for someone. I designed the text to slide in from off screen. The issue is, if the user enters text that is too long, it sticks out on the side of the screen. Is there a common method or set of expressions I would need so that regardless of the text the user enters, the text starts completely off screen and slides into place? As always, thanks for your input!

Surely in 2024, when we can split the atom and land rovers on mars, there must be a way to create a bullet point symbol in After Effects on a Mac...? Am I just losing my mind or is this insanely simple task just not possible...? I don't care about formatting or the usual function of a bullet list, just the symbol... 

Hey all,We are a 12 people team with the same setup:Z640Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-4620 v464 gb ramSystem Pcie SSD ( read 1200mb Write 1800mb ) + cache ssd( 550mb both ways)  both 512gbTitan X pascal Or Quadro m5000 After effects 2017 14.2.1Windows 10 proDell 4k displays.The issue is that while working on a project (doesn't matter what kind of project), it can be 10 sec or 30 min into working and then the ram preview stops working without any reason.you press the Ram preview, it looks as if it loads it into memory and then it just doesn't play. in the info panel it say its playing real-time but it doesn't move from the current frame.This issues keeps happening even after a purg all.the only way to solve it is exiting after effects and reopening it.Is it a bug ? any suggestions ?

Hello community! I'm puzzling about a few things related to Element 3D and the use of 3D models. Since I'm kind of new to AE and compositing, I'm not familiar with all the technicalities of 3D modeling, like UV mapping for example. I'm doing a project where I want to add 3D models of a performing stage, TV, and a motorcycle. I found free 3D models for the purpose. I know I need to look for obj or c4d files to run into Element, and I also need texture files for the UV mapping, as I see models are imported white/blank initially. The problem is, there are quite some models that don't have their material photos labeled properly, plus they either have 1 material with 1 mapping file that i guess I need to place for Diffuse, Glossiness, Reflectivity, Illumination, Normal Bump, Occlusion, or they have a lot of materials created and not enough mapping texture files that aren't named properly and not only don't I know which one to use for which material, but I also don't know what to u

I recently purchased the Mac Studio 2023. These are its features:- Chip: Apple M2 Max- Memory: 32 GB- macOS: Sonoma Version 14.4.1 Previously working with iMac Retina 5K 2020: Processor: Intel Core i7 8 coresGraphics: AMD Radeon Pro 5500XT 8GbRam: 32 GB Projects that worked without a problem with my old Mac, now the processing is less efficient when doing previews and also when I use after effects and another Adobe application at the same time, both are blocked and I can no longer work. I have to force all of them to stop applications and restart the entire computer. Does anyone have any idea how to fix it?Testing what could be the cause of the problem, I found in After Effects that a composition that I had created with text layers by deactivating vector rasterization, the program worked. I don't know if it has anything to do with it. In my office we have tested with other computers (iMAC Retina) and they work well. Thanks in advance.

Dear community, I'm currently trying to do a littel animation with this logo. I want the marked-red line to spin or rotate around the Logo.  I tried it with the CC Cylinder effect, which would technically work; but since it's already curved it's not working out at all. Also I've tried to "flatten" that curved line out. But that didn't really work either. Maybe someone of you guys have an idea how to solve this animation problem. I appreciate every answer! Best regardsPascal  

Multiple times per day I'm getting hit with low memory errors in After Effects. I've followed the suggested fixes to no avail. This occurs with small composition, large compositions, 3D work, 2D, there doesn't seem to be a common thread. I have a ridiculous amount of RAM installed (192GB) and allocated plenty to AE (168GB). I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, purged memory and cache, disabled Mercury transmit, enabled/disabled hardware acceleration. I don't have any problems with the other Adobe apps or 3D software, and the RAM has been thoroughly tested.

Dear Adobe-Team,My AE is constantly stuck, even at simple tasks. When I purge and restart, everything works well until it's eventually stuck again. This process has been the case for one year now. With each update, I saw no improvement and I haven't found a solution to this even though I was searching online a lot. The Problem:Suddendly seems to not generate a preview anymore and AE takes strangely long to do simple tasks like renaming a comp. Ich muss ein Werbevideo mit der Grösse 300x600 Pixel abliefern. Es ist ein Video mit einer kurzen Textanimation. Nach dem rendern ist das Video nun vermeintlich unscharf. Für mich logisch weil der Bildschirn, an dem das Video angeschaut wird, ein Vielfaches grösser ist als mein AE-Clip. Es muss ein *.mp4-Video sein.Mein Kunde kann dies aber so nicht akzeptieren. Ich bin aber ratlos wie man die Qualität des Clips noch verbessern kann. Ich habe auch schon gefühlt alles ausprobiert. Hat vielleich jemand noch einen Ansatz daimt das Video "schärfer" erscheint? Vielen Dank!

Hi there, There's no way to describe this any more specific. I'm using the latest version of AE (22.5.0) and whenever I add ProRes RAW footage (recorded on my Atomos Ninja V via the Sony A7S III) to my project, weird things start happening. Things work fine at first, but then suddenly the comp viewer freezes and no matter where I drag the playhead or whether I activate/deactivate the ProRes RAW layer, it is burned into the comp viewer. At this point, all I'm left with is force quit AE and restart it. This also happens when dragging a ProRes RAW file onto the "New Comp" button or sometimes when viewing ProRes RAW clips in the Footage window or when changing things in the "Interpret Footage" dialogue. AE has been crashing like 10 times in the last 20 minutes, so I'm done testing this. Is this a bug? And if so, how can I fix it? And now the really big question: How come ProRes RAW has been implemented in Premiere Pro and AE for over a year, yet there is still

I would like to build an infinitely scrolling text within a 1920x80 comp. All the text that goes outside the comp is cut off. I've attached photos. I do not want to do a more complicated method that I see in other videos because this takes too much time for such a simple thing. My only solution is to always change the comp size. Any ideas? 

Hi recently i was onto a project on after effect version 24.1.0 which needed the help of content aware fill , while i was using it I encounted with an isuue where once i created a reference frame from photoshop and added it to my video and clicked the generated fill , the end result was odd . The content aware fill made my video wiggly. If its not the wiggly issue , my video would been just fine . But unfortunately it did not so I tried  searching for some youtube video base on this situation to guide me and I can't find any. Could someone please help me out. Hi all!Me and my partner have received funding to create an animation projected across 4 walls, each with a length of 6m. The height is around 3m. We are creating the animation in 11:9.  I wondered if anyone has any advice to make the concept art the best quality possible whilst also having a 'workable' file. I've never done anything on this scale and the files I've been making him been pretty unworkable once the layers start building. My partner keeps telling me he wants it to be MAXIMUM quality so once we finish the project we can maybe project it in larger spaces or create a vr experience, however I wonder what is a necessity in achieving this. I don't understand the settings well enough, I did a bit of research but im so worried about the quality being lost when we project it. It also needs to look good on a tv. It could be possible to break up the file into 4 walls with separate files, however this could be a challenge in the continuation of the image, so I'd p

Hello guys, I was wondering have anyone experience where you receive a 2.39 to 1 aspect ratio footage. But when you drag it inside AE, AE can't create composition of 2.39 to 1 aspect ratio and make the footage look distorted. How should I fix this?Footage shoot in FX3, 422

Unknown exception pop up window re-appearing immediately on clicking ok which prevents from saving the project or doing anything. It had to be closed from windows task manager.This happened after using expressions in pre-comp then switching quickly to another comp.Windows 10, Ae Beta 24.2.0

El problema radica en que, por ejemplo, cuando abro directamente desde el escritorio algun trabajo que ya guardé en after effects, inmediatamente me aparece el cartel de "¿Desea guardar los cambios en "Proyecto sin título.aep" antes de cerrar?, debo poner en "no guardar" para que me permita acceder al que inicié desde el escritorio.¿Alguna solución?
