I reached out to adobe's support team via the "Contact Us" link on this website that connects you with a chat agent. I was wondering how to fix an issue where my computer's volume will automatically turn up when I open adobe applications. After asking the usual unnecessary questions, the chat agent, "Syed", suggested that he could access my computer remotely to further assist me. I respectfully declined, to which he said "Okay. Why don't you try to reinstall the apps?" When I was responding to this a command prompt popped up on my screen and I lost control of my computer entirely. Everything was highlighted in blue and my applications were being opened as well as the windows start tab. I immediately shut down my system, rebooted, and wrote this thread. I am deeply disturbed by this and feel extremely violated. Will definetely not be contacting adobe support again, I'm even paranoid to be writing on this thread. I hope that this chat agent is found and let go for this as well as a memo

Hi, I could not open my After Effects. The message below always pops up when I try to open AE. Can someone help me please? Many thanks in advance. I've tried uninstalling the app and re-downloading it. 

I recently started using After Effects, and one of the first things I noticed when I was doing so was that the menu bar and when exporting the menus were not the consistant dark theme, I'm not sure if this is a bug but I have not found any settings in the preferences that fix this. I am on a 2020 MBP with an M1 and have 16 MB memory.

Hi gang;I use Visual Studio 2012 Express on Windows 7. I have a couple plugins I have developed & compiled and would like to get them ported to Mac as well.I would have thought to do so, I just download Visual Studio on the Mac, copy the project over, and hit compile.However, after reading this thread: What do I need to do to convert a plugin developed in Windows to be Mac-compatible? It appears that's not the case. It seems I need to install XCode (which I know nothing about).So is the procedure the following:1 - download and install Xcode 102 - copy over my Windows VS 2012 project3 - open it on Xcode4 - set proper environment flags (ie. NDEBUG, MT/d, etc - although I have no idea where I'll find these in Xcode)5 - compileIs this along the right lines? Why can't I use Visual Studio for Mac?Any suggestions / tips from those that have gone through this?Thanks,-Richard

Hey there!AE is not working for me anymore. This is what it looks like once I open a project or just start it.Nearly everything in the Menu is greyed out. I can screenshot it, if you need it.I already tried:reinstalling AEusing AE CC 2019 instead of CC 2020reinstalled CC 2019updated/reinstalled driverscleared the cachestarted AE while pressing alt, ctrl and shift I'm using Windows 10, newest Update. It definitly worked before the update.This is all happening on my L460 from Lenovo. (I5-6200U, 12GB RAM, onboard GPU). Can you help me?

"3d camera tracker doesn't work with collapse transformations" I keep getting this error when I'm editing in Premiere Pro and replacing to After Effects. I've zero clue how to fix it, never had this issue before. If there is anyone who knows how to fix, then please let me know! Attached a picture so you can see for yourself

Hello everyoneI think I might be pressing some weird button that toggles on a pencil and my curves don't seem to follow their route. How is it toggled on? And how to toggle it off? But most importantly what does it do? I couldn't capture it with the screenshot as it disappears when I hit the screenshot button.Please helpThanks

Hi guys. I'm developing an OpenGL-based AE plugin on a Windows and I've encountered some issues with window ordering in AE. For example, when my plugin opens a window using GLFW and I bring my window to the front above the AE window, if I switch to another application's window (such as a browser) and then switch back to AE, the AE window always comes to the front above my window. Is there any way to resolve this issue so that my window and the AE window maintain the correct order?

Hello everyone, since a year or more i deal with latency when running both AE and Premiere Pro at the same time as if Adobe was not allowing the RAM selected for adobe suite to apply to both program. I just realised i was right as i was displaying the detail of the memory use in AE. Basicly when only AE is oppened, the max autorized memory for AE is 27Go wich is right (in the 5th colomn of the picture down here), but when i open Premiere Pro it split this amount in 2, so both adobe program have a max memory of 13Go.. Any idea why there is this max split in 2 ? Max should stay 27Go as i could need like 20Go in AE and only 7 in Premiere... in the 6th colomn you can see AE is using 14Go so already blocked and lagging when Premiere is only using 5Go)Before a year ago i could run both program without lagIf i am wrong what solution do i have to work with Premiere and AE at the same time ? I really need this back and forth between both as i work on editing and FX at the same timeThank yo

O problema ocorre ao tentar importar um arquivo do Cinema4D e ao tentar criar um pelo After Effects, o complemento do Cinema4D ja está instalado no After Effects, mas eu não consigo Instalar o App da Maxon. 

On the AfterEffects timeline, there is a search box. I want to search on fill-color, how should I search? There are many shape layers in the composition, and searching for fill will show the stroke fill as well. Are there more advanced ways to search?

I am trying to export a very long and narrow resolution (24,720x96) composition for work. I read that exporting this as lossless .mov from after effects and then importing this .mov into Media Encoder would allow me to export it as H.264 with the dimensions I need.I was able to export as an .mov with the right size but when I pull this file into Encoder it is reducing the size down to 16,384x64. Anyone have any tips by chance to help point me in the right direction to figure this out?

  Hello, I hope I can clearly explain the problem I encountered. I have a video where there is a multi-story building in the center, a little to the side. Accordingly, the side of the house is at an angle (as in the photo). And I have a 3D model of this house. The point is that I want to replace the house in the video with a 3D model (I use Element 3d). But as a result, the side of the 3D model house is at the same level as the front (as in the photo). I would be very grateful for your help on how to make the 3D model look more like original.I experimented with axes, camera positions, dimensions, but nothing came of it.

BEWARE!If your projects contain .c4d files DO NOT upgrade to 24.1! They will no longer open.Luckily reverting to AE 24.0.3 alows to open the files so they are not really damaged as per After effects message. (File is damaged 33::7)  

I imported a composition from After Effects into Premiere Pro and got this bug. I don't know what to do, I tried to fix it in various ways, but nothing helped.All animations were imported as usual, but still the screen is split and the image is moving apart. I was able to get out of the situation a little bit only by pre-rendering the composition in AE.P.S Even rendering in Premiere Pro does not fix anything.

This glitch keeps popping up when i try loading videos inside of the project, In both After effects and Premiere pro. When exporting most of the bars dissapear, but they do appear in the video itself for a second. The screenshot is taken on a project made in After effects 24.05.0, Windows

I wonder if I could pick some expert brains here, as I am coming up blank on searches and youtube videos. Its about Expressions within After EffectsThe scenario.I am trying to automate some penalty graphics – so there could be 3 styles – Not taken, Missed or Scored, and I have 3 graphics for each option.I want to use Checkboxes (as cant find another way of comparing text fields). Checkbox will be ‘HomeFirst’ (so the pc knows where to put individual penalties, and then about 30 ‘Pen Scored’ checkbox, each representing a Penalty Kick (the HomeFirst checkbox will allow us to decide if Pens 1,3,5 etc are for the home team or away team).So I thought I could use an expression as follows(for Pen 1 graphic on home side)If HomeFirst = 1 AND Pen1 = 1 then Opacity 100% on HomePen1Score GraphicIf HomeFirst = 1 AND Pen1 = 0 then Opacity 100% on HomePen1Miss GraphicThat would mean if HomeFirst was 0, then Pen1 would be blank (ie not yet taken)If HomeFirst = 0 AND Pen1 = 1 then Opacity 100% on AwayPe
