After Effects

I made a video, out of a window, at night.  My camera has a red blinking light when its recording that reflected off of the window into my video, and I'm trying to remove the dot.  The video is about 18 minutes long, 59.94fps, 4k.  My vehicle is moving very fast so I need to preserve the 59.94 fps. I'd like to know how everyone recommends tpp handle this. I've tried contewnt aware but as I expected, it's taking forever.  I read another thread on here that talks about masking it to remove it, but I'm a little confused, since I don't understand how to enter something else into the mask. Thanks in advance.

So i have masked a clip to put a solid behind what i masked. There were a few other things i had to mask aswell on that same clip but other 2 masks dont seem to be working at all. I have never ran onto this problem with aftereffects so im not sure whats up. I posted a SS of what the problem is and as you can see it dosent make any sense at all. The white solid is covering the entire area behind what i have masked but those other two masks dont seem to be working. I have tried everything i know but nothing seems to have worked. When i invert the masks they just make the solid disappear.

Every time i'm trying to use after effects 24 for my project the screen freezes on a random part of the preview. You can see in the picture here that all the layers are turned off yet it's frozen on the intro, and it always stops me from playing any type of preview. I've restarted AE many times, I've purged cache, change render mode from cuda etc. nothing is working. the edit is mainly a 3D edit using cameras and null layers Specs: Adobe After Effects 24.5I9 11900K RTX 3070TI 32GB RAM2TB SSD

So, I created a window design inside a different composition, and I want to create a size control inside the main composition. But I found a problem, when I add a keyframe in the control, the shape of the window inside the composition doesn't change, it just sticks to the value in the first keyframe.I still don't understand the expression system, so I just rely on the parent system.

Yesterday, i started to create a halloween edit. I used Element 3d and made a high quality intro for the edit, then my PC crashed, then again and did it 6 times. On the last time, i went on and went onto after effects and it said; Error with file. - This edit took 6 hours and now its gone. This is what it looked like - Today, i go onto AE, and i start the edit again. This time i do the main edit, not a problem. I start the intro and open element. Make it look nice -and it crashes a total of 3 or 4 times. On the last time, it says :So i go onto After effects, and i see this: I go onto my files, most recent save of the file was 5 mintues before it crashed, i open it and it doesn't open. Then the ones from about 2 hours before do open. but they got no useful work in. Do i need a better CPU, if so what is recommended?

Hi, am following one tutorial, the text animation there I figured out. (attached) but I dnt undertsand how did he do the verical tracking. I only find horiozontal tracking in after effects. his texts are climbing up, how did he do that. am so sad :'( . am lost. please help.   

Dear collegues, I have a proble with track matte, it is not displayed on the first line, an empty rectangle is visible, and this function is available on the second line. Tell me how to do the same as on the second line

I am a facing a problem and for years I feel shy to ask. Today I gather the courage to ask it. please dnt judge me. I am a naive.  Okay so in a project we have many comps, and all the comps are same in size (unless I trim that). Sometime I need to align things with two different comps. for example in attached file I want the flowers to come out from a specific part of big green box (mental health infographics) but when I open the flower comp I dnt have anything to take as a reference point about the green box’s position. I cant even copy guides from the green box’s position to flower comp. I mean am in a boat with a rudder. I dnt wanna animate flowers and then make it a comp and then position it to another comp dragging X,Y. Is there any way I can match position of one comp's some certain part with another  like I do in photoshop or illustrator by keeping the reference layer beneath and reducing the opacity? This question tormented me for years. Please help me

I'll explain my situation. I want to track a video. To track it, I used 'Track Camera.' In the 'Shot Type' section, I selected 'Fixed Angle of View,' and finally, in 'Solve Method,' I chose 'Typical.'Then I created a solid with the generated points, oriented the solid with a script called 'Orient World' to bring it into Cinema 4D.After completing this step, I exported the project in C4D to add objects and set up the scene, but for some reason, After Effects does not update any changes I make in C4D; it simply doesn't load anything.I tried various new versions (2024 and 2023) of After Effects and it remains the same. The version of Cinema 4D I use is 23.0.1. Thank you very much for your help in advance.Regards ❤️

I made a motion graphics template in After Effects, and every time I try to use it in my timeline in Premiere Pro, I get this error:"This Motion Graphics template was created in After Effects. To use this template in Premiere Pro, please install After Effects (trial or license) and retry.Learn more: adobe.com/go/mgt"As I've said, though, I made the template in After Effects (I already have it installed). After Effects 2024 on MacOS Sonoma has 'Error Loading Sapphire Bundle'. I previously had downloaded Sapphire third party plugins, however, i deleted them all. I've also deleted and reinstalled After Effects multiple times but the same problem exists. 1) This. "Applications/BorisFX/Sapphire 2023Adobe/config/sapphire-ae64.bundle: filedoes not exist."A boris FX folder does not exist meaning i don't have the .bundle file.  2) I've gone through many discussion posts about this issue and many suggest to "Check your Mediacore folder and see if you still have Sapphire plugins installed/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/" However, "7.0/MediaCore/" --> this doesn't exist in my laptop  I feel like i've tried everything but im so keen on using After Effects so please help me out. I don't want any Sapphire plugins, I just want to use the effects provided so please lmk if you guys have any solutions. Any assistance will be greatly apprec

Hello everyone! So on and off for the last couple of weeks, I've been trying to recreate my YouTube channel's "Subscribe" animation that was made by someone else for practice and to add in an updated logo. However, what would seem like the easiest part of it has actually been super frustrating for me: the circle to rectangle morph I do have a decent amount of AE experience already but can't seem to figure this one out. I've tried a ton of tutorials and done the copy paste bezier path technique, messed with mask interpolation, changed first vertex, etc but I feel like I'm overcomplicating things. Anyone know an easier way to do this? Or how to just in general? I attached how it should look and how it looks with my version. Thank you!  

 Hello y'all. I have an issue. So whenever I open after effects it's doesn't load, it's just staying blank and nothing is loading. I've tried to delete and download it, I tried the taskbar Funktion, I ran after effects as administrator. Just nothing works!!! I use windows 11. 

After Effects warning: logged one error - "error: Sapphire plug-in error (abort) (512) (25 :: 241)" when I render the edit, I didn't use motion tittle  

when i downloaded mbl presets it appears in the custom looks folder but in after effects it wont appear and i cant find the preset within ae . When i try opening the preset file by its own ae says "unsupported file type or extension" . Someone help please thanks

If I wanted an AE composition in HD (1080p preferably), what resolution would the composition have to be if I wanted to maintain a 4:3 aspect ratio WITH a pixel aspect ratio of D1/DV NTSC (.9091)? I ask this because I shoot my footage using a MiniDV camcorder wich outputs at 720 x 480 and since the PAR of that footage is .9091 it displays a 4:3 aspect ratio with the image filling in the frame perfectly in Premiere. However, my AE comps are graphics made from scratch and since I have the ability to work at a higher resolution for them, I'd prefer to downscale them in Premiere after export for a sharper look than a 720 x 480 source. But after exporting them and bringing them into Premiere, they show up with additional pillar boxes. These exported comps were worked on in 1440 x 1080 because I assumed changing the PAR in the AE comp settings would force it to display in 4:3 (removing the pillar boxes), but unfortuantely AE doesn't automatically change resolution to confine to the PAR and a

I just bought a new Mac Studio, M2. Running After Effects 2023 with Rosetta and After Effects 2024 normally.  Warp Stabilize and Camera Tracking aren't working in either 2023 or 2024. Warp Stabilize will work on a piece of footage in Premiere but After Effects can't stabilize that same piece of footage (ie., it gets through the process then I get orange banner/red banner.)  I've tested pieces of footage that were stabilized fine in older versions of Pr/Ae. I've even tested pieces of footage that have already been pre-stabilized as well as a few with virtually no motion in them. I've reduced Smoothness to 1% on a piece of footage 5 frames long; no dice.  I've tried footage from 2 different Sony codecs as well as iphone footage.  The one thing I got to work was exporting an .mp4 from Premiere. Warp Stabilize finished its process but the result had no stabilization. Camera Tracker gave me the red banner on that.  Is there a box I don't hav

My pre-composed layers are deleting last frames of layer or changing their positions after i save and close the project. It happens mostly when i enable frame blending and fps of a clip are lower than fps in comp settings.

Hi everyone,I'm working on a project in Adobe After Effects that involves over 350+ basic 3D layers, each containing a 2D video in its own composition (this is the only thing that the 3d layer contains). The rendering process is taking an exceptionally long time (around 3+ hours, and we haven't finished rendering the whole video since the remaining time calculator keeps adjusting).I attempted to use TurboRender, but they were unable to render the file due to an unknown error. Unfortunately, their customer support hasn't provided a resolution yet.I would appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to manage or optimize this project.
