After Effects

Hi! I'm trying to insert a special Ö character from my open type font into After Effects. I am aware that After Effects does not have any built in open type features but I'm trying to copy a character from InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop to paste into After Effects but no luck.  Is this not possible?! 

Actions: Clip selected for Roto.Warp stabilizer added, stabilized.Rotoed Clip.During the roto freeze a warp analyize banner was triggered about new frames, which when was then included in the rotomask.I had to unfreeze mask, render the stabilized clip and start again. I don't roto much, or use warp all that often. I am guessing like most major VFX processes, stick to one major element/pass at a time. per comp/clip 

I just got after effects 2024 like 20 minutes ago it doesnt load up at all I mean sometimes it does but if i do anything it basically just crashes my whole computer I just wanna edit someone help please   windows 10 64 bit 16 gb of ram i have enough storage i dont know what to do everythings up to date i already payed like 35 dollars   Title edited by Mod.

I an a newbie to Adobe After Effects.  I work with students in an elementary school.  I am using CC5.  I layered some green screen video over another video, then masked out an area and used keylight to remove the green screen.  I precomposed this green screen layer and tried to add timewarp effect to it.  You can see in the picture below the keylight effect seems to be undone and can't be redone.  I tried to render it out to see if it would be corrected and it was not.  I have played with every setting I could find; I am at a loss.  Help

I am back on the adobe suite and editing in premier. I am using AE to make lower thirds etc. I am not planning to go too deep in AE, just be a rountrip user when needed. A while ago, I made interstitial using AE and a now defunct company called Zaxewerks. It was the AE plug in. I have tried to get the oldest plug in to work with CS4 and some older version of AE, but with no luck. Please see my upload. I would like to see if there a plug that I can buy that lets me make what is in my upload.  I can't seem to find it. Maybe I am not using the right keywords. Someone tried to send me directions to crate this in motion, but it is too in depth for my skills. Can anyone help?

HiI do logo animation based on Illustrator file. I converted all layers into shape layers. There is some text in original file, where each letter is separate layer, so now I have 4 shape layers of "HOME" word. I don't have original font. Is this posiible to group these for shape layers or convert them into text layer, so I could apply text animation? Or any other way I could do this? Thanks in advance Mike

 Pretty simple question I just need to move this text and the path that it's moving along down. How do I do that?I have one picture where the motion path is and then I made another picture of what I want to do with the motion path. Can anyone tell me how I can select the entire motion path and move the whole thing down at one time?

So, i'm using after effects to export animations to a game, and the tool exports the bezier curves completely wrong (i'm fully aware thats the plugin's fault not after effects), the only way to get it right is to get keyframes every frame of the timeline, i have been doing it manually this last years and it starts to get annoying.So this is what i haveThis is what i want Thank you for your time 🙂

It's random & unpredictable. It seems to happen regardless of how new a project is, what the clip is, etc.  It makes the program unusable. Any word on a fix, despite the fact it's been years and years and years?

This is driving me mad.I have two machines. M1 Air Laptop and M1 Max Studio.Both runing IDENTICAL systems, plugins, extensions & settings.Both have fonts managed with CC and Right Font,On the MAX, typing/amending Text  in the comp window, manipulating parameters or inteacting with has a HUGE input lag.Also Opening AE takesa 30 seconds. On AIR it is lightening fast (ie normal). Both systems using GPU, Prefs Reset.I have tried1. reininstalling AE on MAX. 2. disabling all scripts, plugins, etc.3. Running in safe mode.4. Deactiviating all non core fonts. In desperation, I tried runing the lastest BETA on my MAX, and the problem went away. my question to ADOBE (any others) is -1: is this a know issue that was fixed, and how long will I have to wait to see it released>2: Is there a known workaround that will strop the Text lag on the MAX? ...and no, I dont want to use the Beta in production. Thank you!

Hello,I bought an .eps file on shutterstock (probably made in Illustrator) and I was wondering if I can animate this in after effects as a kind of continuous wave in loop of about 10-20sec. When I convert the file to shape layers I come up with over 1000 groups, which means that every dot becomes a shape. Does anyone know how to handle this?Thanks in advanceJ

At first, my question was how to rotate the anchor point so that the z-axis faced the correct direction to hinge this folder face to be in the position below it. I read about creating a null layer and parenting to that. Honestly, that proved to be quite tedious (and unsuccessful), but also I wasn't able to set up the null positioning before parenting the layer without it then repositioning the child. (Both issues are shown below in the video.)  Then I thought that maybe I was going about this the wrong way, and that I should redraw the folders head on, rotate it from the head on perspective, then use a camera to show the 45° angle. Is this the correct way to appoach this? If so, I have two questions.  How do I maintain the stroke width for the 3d layer? (An expression, maybe?)How would I draw the sides of the folders for the camera rotation? If this isn't the best method, is it possible to achieve this animation, of the folder hinging open, while maintaining th

Short and sweet: is there a way I can get an object to follow a path whose anchor points are parented to nulls, and with round corners enabled? The only way I know of to get an object to follow a preset path is to copy the path itself and paste it into the object's position data, which won't work in this specific scenario.Is what I'm describing even possible?

После запуска, на этапе попытки программой "Инициализировать Mediacore" программа закрывается, но при этом остается в реестре запущенных программ в диспетчере задач.Попытки решения проблемы были таковыми: 1) В интернете прочел информацию про Visual c++, что возможно удаление и переустановка поможет, все это я сделал, но проблема не решилась.2) Отключал антивирус и брандамуэр.3) Системные требования у меня достаточны для того, чтобы тянуть данную программу. В интернете писали, что возможны конфликты с видеокартами AMD, но у меня Geforce потому я этот вариант отсеял.Ребята, если у кого была такая проблема или возможно есть видимые причины для того, чтобы решить проблему запуска и наконец ее запустить. Буду благодарен любым подсказкам. Спасибо)

I've created a loop animation for a shape to move up and down, but when I use Newton 3, the shape correctly performs the animation yet continuously moves upwards, deviating from its initial position as shown in the video. What am I doing wrong? 

Hi all.There is a Photoshop file in which a plant is depicted, and individual branches are scattered on different layers.I want these branches to sway in the wind using the CC Bend it effect. The file was imported as Retain Layer Sizes composition.When I apply this effect to a separate branch, with a strong value of the effect, part of the image is hidden behind a frame limited by the width and height of this separate layer.I don’t remember the name of the effect that increases the width and height of this separate layer. Can anyone tell me the name of this effect?    

Hi there, I'm having trouble getting my trim path to loop seamlessly - I feel so close yet so far. You can see in the video clip that there is a bit of overlapping between pass 1 & pass 2 before looping. How do I get the looping effect without any stutter? I've tried adjusting the start and end points, and adjusting the offset but nothing seems to be working. I've tried to include my keyframes to make it easier to diagnose what may have gone wrong.Any suggestions or solutions to this? If there is an expression that would solve this I wouldn't know it so feel free to share!

Hi, So I was working on a project during which another short project popped up. So I created another comp for that one and started working on it. When I finished and rendered the new project, I opened my AE file again to resume my previous work and found that it was all lost. Now I can't seem to find my composition even though I've searched in the project panel.I really need to find the comp or I'll be losing a week's worth of effort.Thanks

I was thinking about using something simmilar to the certain technique which I have come up with ( using shape layer, applying fast box blur and using classic color burn. It gives very nice effect as the blending intensity is logarytmically scalling as the light parts of the layer underneath are more bright), but the reflestions are not still, but are moving side to side. I have no idea of how it could be made, except someone created a 3d model, or the paths of reflections were handmade, and somebody used fractal noise to determine where effect should be stronger (maybe effect ,,set matte,, and set to fractal noise layer and to luma matte? Dunno, this is hard...).

Hi community! 🙂 Background: I want to create a vine growth animation, where it grows from the ground and up. I have used AI to illustrate everything, Layered my Vine, and imported to AE. I have used Generate < Stroke effect to have 30 different masks/effects applied, and keyframed each to match how i want it to grow. It looks correct with Paint Style "On Original Image" applied, but when i switch all layers to "Reveal original image" it displays nothing. When i do it one at a time, each effect nullifies the former. I have done a quick fix, where i copy the effects/masks to a shape layer, and put it on top of the original illustration and track matted it, but i thought i originally did it the right way, but apparently not by using multiple masks/effects. What sort of workflow should i use? Or is there a fix that i am just not understanding? AE V 24.1.0
