After Effects

Hi, I'm adding 3d/4d city names texts to my video but whenever i set them to 3d, the inside of the letter A is completely filled. I don't know how to fix. I'm still a beginner (if i say so myself). I followed a youtube video, everything worked well but this i can't fix... See photo for the issue.I added the 'aA' for a better illustration of the issue.

hi everyone, everytime i'm editing, my after effects 2024 crashes. It says there has been a mistake and i have to fill in a report. it's totally random because sometimes i can stay on for 5 minutes and sometime it crashes in 1 minute. i already entered in safe mode and deleted all my plugins but it still doesn't work.  i use a macOS with ventura 13.6.3.   3,4ghz quad-core intel core i5 processor and Radeon Pro 570 4GB with 8GB of RAM which should be just fine for what i'm trying to do. i already tries restarting and updating my computer. please help me. I've payed a lot and it doesn't work..

After Effects ver. 17.7.0 (build 45)Mac OS Big Sur 11.2.3 I've created a tracking mask for a quicktime animation. Mask is set to SUBTRACT.Layer is selected.When I try to generate Content Aware Fill Layer, it gives me a progress bar, then the above error message.See the attached screenshots.Have tried in composition and layer view, same result.Have trashed the preferences folder, same result.

Hello all,  I am trying to export a mp4 file that is 21312(w) x 72(h) and each export has altered dimensions which come out at 4096x18 and those are very inccorect. Can anyone help me?  here is a screen shot of my comp setting:

I am importing an AI file that contains layers into After Effects I get the new Comp and I see just one AI file icon. I can't figure out why my layers are not coming in.   I want all this layers of Ai as shown below :Anyone got some ideas? 

Hello, I've been having some off and on trouble with After Effects/ Adobe Media Encoder. Normally when I go to export video everything comes out totally clear and fine. But lately every so often when I render out video via Adobe Media Encoder the finished video ends up being a little fuzzy with some color distortion.I've tried different export settings and didn't have much luck. Then I tried to uninstall and reinstall and now both after effects and media encoder won't render out video at all. Also I am primarily using illustrator files and importing them into after effects for my animations. As far as I know my settings for Ai should be fine but I'm not sure if this plays into some underlying role.Any ideas why this is happening and how I can fix it?

Hello.I need to build a comp with 24600 x 90 px.But AE only let me choose a width of 16000 something..!?Unfortunatelly it is also not possible to make a 24600x90 sequence in premiere where I can import and export the AE project. PLEASE HELP! Thank you !

In order to display a text string that reads, 120'-6" I need to type 6-'120" . Is this a bug, or is there some setting that I'm unaware of regarding text entry?Thank you!

I am having an issue with After Effects preferences. When I open the preferences, I always encounter 'not responding,' and eventually, After Effects closes unexpectedly. Is there anyone who can help solve this issue? Thank you. 

Hello everyone! I would like to use Adobe After Effects to automate the messages in some videos I already have. The goal is to insert the names of all recipients so that they receive it in a personalized way. I am quite inexperienced with Adobe tools and am having difficulties doing this. Does anyone know of any educational material or support on this topic?Thanks.

I'm new to After Effects and trying to follow a tutorial on roto-brushing text behind an object. It seems that when added, it disappears for a few frames inconsistently. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hello there,I have come across a simple issue: even though I have my preview settings on "full", whenever I move a mask point around my composition the whole composition becomes pixelated and "blurry". Here's an example:A B As you can see from the samples above, in the example "a" I am not clicking or dragging any of the mask (which is made up of pink points and lines) and in the example "b" I am now dragging one of the points with my cursor. Do to the dragging of one of the points, it is easily made out between the two examples that the composition becomes extremely pixelated. One thing to take into account is that the "Resolution/Down Sample Factor Popup" is set on "Full"; therefore, there shouldn't be any pixelation, or should there?Please let me know if you know how to resolve this issue. Hi, I have the latest version of After Effects but I am having some trouble with a Template I have been provided with. I have been instrusted to us the Essential Graphics Panel for the Text changes which was working fine for the Font, Style Colour etc but when I went to "Edit Properties" and "Enable Font Size Adjustment" to change the Font Size nothing happens. It just changes the linked Guide layer.If I double Click on the Layer and try yo change there or in text properties the same happens. The display text appears to be a very large number but I cant see where it is set anywhere.It seems bug like if it is editing hte other text properties not problem but not the font size. I have a little experieve with After Effects but still learning. If anybody had any guidance on this it would be muc appreciated. Thank you.

Dear All,Could you tell me how to reflect Adobe After Effects pre-comp to the existing dynamic link of Adobe Premiere Pro?I use same version of Premiere Pro and After Effects.And I made a dynamic link of Premiere pro to edit(subtract a mask area in) the 360 video on After Effects. Now I have pre-comp using a one of composition (VR2 Output). But I've not done to do pre-render yet. I assumed that It's possible to reflect the latest pre-comp onto Premiere Pro Dynamic Link sequence without importing the latest .aep file from Premiere Pro.The latest pre-comp is under a one of VR2 Output folders that is not visible at the top view where previous composition is existed that linked to the dynamic link. So It won't be reflected the latest pre-comp onto the dynamic link of Premiere Pro even I run a one of menu "render In to Out" on Premiere Pro after selecting the necessary area by I and O key.Premier Pro : 24.0.00After Effect : 24.0.02OS: macOS Ventura I must use the original file format .

so i'm trying to launch my after effects in after effects 23.6, but everytime i do i get the message "To run AfterEffects in a compatible mode, chose "Get info" in the application context menu and enable "Open using rosetta". I do have rosetta installed but every time i open the get info there is no button to allow rosetta. and i do not know what to do because i'm trying to use my plugins. can someone please help

Automatic positioning of an After Effects anchor point over a layer's content does not appear to work in the latest update. On import from Photoshop, anchor points default to the centre of the layer.  They do not reposition over content with - Select Layer > Transform > Centre Anchor Point In Layer Content. Command double click the pan behind anchor tool on Mac will recentre to mid screen also. This is important to me because some of the elements I'm working on within a current project are only a couple of pixels in width and difficult to find against the default background to manually position anchor points.  After Effects 24.1.0 (Build 78) on Mac  Sanoma 14.1.2

Hello! This is my first time posting to this board. I have a small issue that has been bugging me that I cannot seem to fix. I am creating shot tracers for golf videos. This requires me to create a tapered stroke (so that the end of the line is thinner than the beginning). This helps give the perception that the line is getting farther away.However, when I apply Trim Paths to the line, it isn't just "revealing" the shape that is already there. It is actually changing in thickness a bit once it has already been created. It is a little bit hard to explain, so I will attach a screenshot. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can clarify anything. The 7:15 mark in the link provided is a good example as well. Although the animation looks decent, you can see how the thickness of what has already been revelaed changes a bit over time.

When I try to edit the audio keyframs, the left and right always seperate, and I can't find anything online about it

I really hope someone can help my problem. I was changing my colour theme and labels, it was working fine before but then suddenly I got this pop-up messege problem thing (well sad I didn't took a screenshot of it because I accidentally click the "Don't ask" button.) whenever I open up preferences and any others options from it, it exits the app. I tried reseting my prefrences and follow other tutorials in yt, but none of them worked for me ;-;. Is there an another way to fix this problem? The video is right at the bottom.   Title edited by Mod.
