After Effects

This has happened to two projects I'm working on. They are not very large or intricate projects, but once the project file size exceeds 560 kb, after effects is not longer able to open them. Crash occurs immedieatly on startup. Smaller project files can be opened, however even autosaves of these projects cannot open if it is over 560 kb.I've tried reinstalling AE, rolling it back to a previous version, clearing the cache, changing the size of the cache, changing the location of the cache, and even recovering the project with disk drill. Nothing changes the state of the problem.I'm running AE 25.2 but have also tried 25.1 and 25.0. I'm working in a Windows 10 environment with an AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Eight-Core Processor, 32 GB of Ram, and a NVIDIA 4080 Super.I'd like to be able to open these projects again as they're almost ready for export. If they're corrupted, I'd like to recover them if possible. At the bare minimum, I'd like to make sure this doesn't happen again so I can actually use

This is an old problem I have, and after a long time using this software, I do not see a way to solve this.1. You create a Text Box.2. You write your text.3. Press ESC as a fast way to get out of editing mode.Boom! you've lost your text.Is there any way to fix this or an alternative mode? 

Bonjour, Je viens de recevoir un nouveau IMAC et j'ai des roblèmes de lancement et de crash récurent sur After Effect (Pr, Au Ai ou Ps fonctionnent très bien)En gros je ne peux lancer After Effect sans faire Cmd+Maj+Opt et ensuite choisir entre Safe mode ou continue. Je vous joint un screen de ce code erreur. De plus lorsque j'arrive a lancer Ae et que je travaille dessus il crash de façon aléatoire. J'ai un code erreur "Multi thread rendering" qui s'affiche. (C'est un ordinateur du travail et ca m'empèche de travailler)Si vous avez une solution je suis preneur (J'ai déja fais les MAJ Apple, Esayé v25,1/24/23 et d'enlever tout plugin, de lancer en safe mode ou encore de desinstaller réinstaller...)Je vous donne les spec au besoin IMAC M4 202524 Go RamMac Os Sequoia 15.3.2Ae 24.6.5  Merci à vous  

Hi, I’m trying to edit a video that was filmed on an iPhone. When I import it into After Effects, the colors look very different from the original video – they appear much cooler and not as accurate. I’ve tried adjusting the colors manually in the edit, but it doesn’t really help. I think the issue might be related to the export settings or color profile. How can I fix this?

Estou com um problema que pode parecer simples, mas não sei resolver! Todos vídeos que foram gravados em iPhone, ou seja, vídeos em .mov (quicktime) ficam com cores estranhas ao importar no meu projeto, alguém saberia resolver isso?

All was going fine for a few days but it unexpectedly started up again.Comp window goes black and won't playback anything after importing any .aep no matter how simple. Flickers while scrubbing but will not play any audio or video in neither comp or layer windows. It also occurs when I use one of the FlashFX transitions, but usually on the second attempt. The first attempt is sometimes successful. In my previous comp try, I thought I solved it by deleting some Rotobrush comps which worked temporarily but it came back again a couple of days later. Issue – The standard Mocha AE shortcuts don't work anymore and CMD+A immediately closes Mocha AE without saving. Even switching the shortcuts presets and reinstalling didn't help.Adobe After Effects version number – 25.1.0 (Build 68)Operating system – macOS Sequoia 15.1.1Steps to reproduce – Try to use Mocha shortcuts, like ‘X’ to move the viewer, ‘Q / W / E’ to move / rotate / scale masks, or ‘CMD+A’ to select all points in a mask.Expected result – When hitting ‘CMD+A’ all points in the current mask should be selected.Actual result –  Mocha AE closed without saving and without producing an error message.

I was working on a project when suddenly the app became unresponsive. It crashed and closed. After that It crashes every time i try to open the app, with the message "After effects error: crash in progress". ill attach the full pop-up below. I've tried everything i could thing off to fix it... from restarting adobe, my pc to uninstalling after effects and installing it again. nothing seems to help i can't get the app to start. Does anyone have an similiar problem or an solution? Would be appriciated immensly.

I updated all video apps (Ae, Pr, Me) to 25.2.I'm using a lot of Roto Brush in my current project and, on the plus side, it's SO MUCH FASTER. Awesome!On the minus... these apps are locking up the computer constantly upon "saving a copy" of the project. It is becoming ridiculous. I frequently save the project and also save a copy to other drives, of course. This is regular every day workflow. Now, I am getting "Not responding" from the apps on every other save attempt.I have done all the things, multiple times, for both Pr and Ae:- Reset preferences- Clear/clean cache and database- Create new project, import old one- Reboot computerI'm also getting a dialog upon reopening After Effects that says the Roto brush effect is creating an error, and do I want to disable it one time or no? Ironically, Roto brush is working for me much better and faster than before. But apparently whatever the error is that it's causing has to do with saving, not necessarily the roto part. I'm using Windows

when morphing, the vertex of the square do not move to the vertex of the circle. I did everything according to the instructions, turned the circle over so that the vertex were located at the vertex of the square, copied the path of the circle and pasted it into the square, but it does not move to those vertices.

The commands to Reveal Properties with Kyframes/Animation/Modified do not work at all in 25.2. Not from the menu, not via keyboard shortcut. Keyframes are present. Resetting AE prefs did not fix the issue. AE25.2 on Sequoia 15.4, Apple Silicon MBP 14" 2021.

Performance of AE 2024 so far seems pretty awful, for example; on a fresh install, clean startup, I have just imported a single 1080p MP4 (h.264), made a single cut to the clip, and hit export.. during the render memory usage hit 97%. Now AE is idle and is the only application I have running, it still has 54GB sat in memory! It also appears to be constantly using 8% CPU even though I'm just sat in the render queue looking at a completed job. CPU: 7950XGPU: 4090 (latest studio drivers)RAM: 64GB DDR5 6000 CL30CACHE SSD: SN850X 4TBWindows 11 (latest updates)AE V 24.1.0

The thing that I use to move to a certain time in your project is really laggy, my other old old computer works just fine. And the first project I made it worked perfectly fine. But even if I move one frame a second it still skips frames and is laggy.   Title edited by Mod.

Bonjour, Quand je travaille sur des formes Bézier, je manipule les tangentes associées à chaque point pour orienter mes courbes. Quand je clique préalablement sur MAJ, mes tangentes se calent soit à la verticale, soit à l'horizontale.Enfin... pas tout à fait. A bien y regarder, les tangentes se calent bien, mais sur une faible pente, voire tournent sur elles-mêmes selon qu'on se rapproche ou qu'on s'éloigne de l'origine. J'ai tenté sur une forme parfaitement symétrique, un simple cercle converti en forme Bézier, rien à faire. Est-ce normal? Quel est la bonne méthode pour obtenir une orientation droite? En vous remerciant.

it's more than 15 years that I do languages version and more than 15years that the problem of Arabic hasn't been fixed, incredible. i've got Ae 2025, a translataed world document in Arabic, I use Dubai font for Arabic. Copy and paste on After effects and ... it's still flipped wrongly!!! like 15 years ago! and now there is no even the option of chnaging preferences because it supposed to be 'intelligent'.  please don't tell me I have to flip each sentence on the website page like in the old days...  How do I fix this?!

I wrote a script panel, but there is an issue with the display in After Effects 2025.When checking and unchecking checkboxes, the border disappears. Everything is updated in Cloud. When I launch files I get this messageAfter effects error: the file you are attempting to open was created with after effects 25.1 (windows 64) and cannot be opened with this version. See adobe.com/aftereffects for information on upgrading your software What gives here?

AE 25.2 (though i've seen this for awhile)OSX 15.4 When I double click to open a Comp in my timeline, a Footage panel opens up. Even if I close the footage panel, anytime I double check my viewer changes.I run a dual monitor setup but I'm not sure this is the reason.  Is anyone else seeing this? (due to the confidentiality of my work, reach out Adobe and I can share privately a capture)

I honesyly hate coming across silly bugs after an update. brand new project. New comp and create solid and i get this ANNOYING message.  Only once thouhg. I've reset the preferences. Cleared the cache. AGH.Super glad we all pay so much money for this. V 25.2.0 

when i draw straight line holing "shift" with brush tool it adds mutiple action, so when i try to undo takes like 23 updo to remove the stroke. same issue with Clone stamp tool. it's been broken since 2019 update or something like that. please fix.  normal brush stroke is count as one action and i can do one updo to remove stroke. 

My screen keeps flickering every time I like move my mouse and when I preview my edit it flickers like 10 times more and faster, I'm about to have a stroke over here, please help. It's a very uncomfortable bug or whatever it is, I attached 3 videos to this post so you guys can really see how annoying it is.

I've got a precomp w/ a text layer and a rectangular shape layer in it.The source text is an exposed Essential Property.I'm also exposing the size of the rectangle which is driven by expression which adds the sourceRectAtTime of the text to the rectangle size (making a text box).I go into a parent comp and update the source text value in the properties panelafter committing the text everything works (text and rectangle size update in comp viewer) as expected but the value shown for the rectangle size in the properties panel doesn't updateI have to de-select and reselect the layer for it to update.

In the latest 24.2.1, essential property is returning the original text value instead of the esential property override.AE 2023 seem to return the correct (override) value.
