After Effects

when i import 3d file adobe dimension to after effects beta version i see colour difference 

I have multiple paths in single layer, if i use trim path for this layer... then am getting  one path after another continouly, but i need some little break (like 5 to 10 frames) in between each path... Please provide the expression that I could use for a pause of few seconds between each path.

Hallo Community,  ich arbeite gerade an einem Projekt in AE und ich habe ein problem mit dem Sound. Wenn ich mir die Vorschau angucke, hötr sich alles normal an so wie ich es abgemischt habe, aber nun hab ich das problem das es sich im Livestream (Ich streame meine arbeit) und in der Gerenderten datei, manche SFX viel zu laut anhören, sodass sie völlig übersteuern. Wo liegt der fehler? Ich weiß nicht ob das eine Rolle spielt aber ich arbeite mit einem Macbook Pro M2 Max. Ich hoffe mir kann jemand helfen :). Danke und schöne grüßeDennis

Hi,I tried removing a moving person from a 360 video and the content aware fill didn't work. The CAF confirmation layer appeared, but the video was as is, in mask form. I used a lot of reference frames before running CAF and another forum said they should be rested elsewhere in the project folder, but I don't know where. Can the layer order be the reason? I have follow-up questions about what I may've done wrong in PS making the reference frames, and masking questions. I use PS and LR and this is my first foray into Ae.  Thanks!Susan

My M1 Ultra (on macOS 12) died, I'm now on a M2 Ultra (on macOS 13 Ventura), but for some reason I don't get the same performance using the Mercury Transmit to a HDMI connected UHD TV when working in ACES. Even when the HDMI monitor is set to HD it isn't able to play a 4k comp at full framerate (25fps). An HD comp seems to work, or lowering the resolution to quarter (downsample), but higher that that it stutters. This wasn't the case on my M1 Ultra, I could playback 4k shots at full framerate. Not sure why that is not the case anymore, but a couple of this changed basically at the same time; could be the M2 Ultra, could be macOS 13, could be AE 24, maybe something changed when using ACES? FYI, when using DaVinci Resolve, I get full speed, full resolution playback on that screen, so it isn't the tv or the HDMI cable, or the ability to push UHD data from the computer to the TV. I haven't tried Premiere (not installed on this new computer), but I would assume it would work just

Hey, je vais essayer d'être le plus clair possible. J'ai créer un rectangle sans fond, avec contour rouge que j'ai accolé à la composition. L'idée c'est de créer un time code pour une vidéo. Pour cela je vais appliquer "Réduire les Tracés" sauf que cela débute toujours à partir d'un angle droit/gauche, or moi j'aimerais que ça commence à partir du milieu en haut et que ça finisse au milieu en bas. Sauf que j'ai aucune idée de comment faire... Voici une photo pour illustrer :

Hello. I have an old MacBook Pro 2016 with Monterey 12.7.1. And a new MacStudio M1 Ultra with 128 Gb RAM using Sonoma 14.1.1. The moment I installed Sonoma on the Ultra, After Effects (new and old versions) renders SO badly, I have to use the MacBook to get my work done. Naturally this slows down my work by 30 fold, and makes my M1 Ultra investment useless. Attached is a screen shot of how the M1 Ultra Sonoma is rendering with all the glitches. I uninstalled and re-installed AE of various versions to test. No improvement. I do not dare upgrade Sonoma to the new 14.1.2 becuase it just mentions security updates.  Some online help is old and refers to error messages etc, and the procedure to clear those seems impossible because certain files/folders cannot be found on my system. Thank you. 

I have a 3D object in format `.glb` which I can see its shape on Adobe Dimension, but I can't on After Effects.(I wanted to attach the file but it's not uploadable file type here) `Fence Metal Black.glb` is the file and as you can see below, it's rendered transparent while there is still cube outline. This .glb file is seen on Adobe Dimension.

hey guys, So i have to import about 30 videos into AFX, all 4K. Made proxies with media encoder. Imported original filesinto AFX, problem is i can only link them to the proxies one at a time. Anybody knows a way where i could indicateto AFX to search for a folder and then batch set the proxies all in one go?Hope this makes sense. thanks.

Hey all,I've put together a 3 minutes long Product/Explainer video for a company website, using a lot of video clips, music, text animations and other graphical stuff. This is my first time doing this kind of work. It all ended up with 200 layers of videos, text and elements. A lot of layers, for me personally, to manage with timing etc. Now - when the clients wants to make changes (ofcourse); like delete an unnecessary scene, or change the order of some scenes - I got a huge challange in front of me, changing the order of scenes with very precise animations keyframed. I thought about pre-compose all the individual scenes during this work, but working in pre-compositions made it sometimes hard to match the timing of other animations/videos (which is outside this current pre-composition) - so i just kept working without pre-compose all scenes, which would have been easier to handle if the clients wants to make changes afterwards (I guess?).So here is my question:How do you, mo

I want to figure out how to have a radio wave effect that is directional and looks like ) ) ) ) ) ) ), with the beginning point moving along tracking point 1, and the end of the waves moving along tracking point 2. I want it to behave similarly to the attached video, where I have dashed lines animating between three points. I did this effect by using the 'create nulls from path' tool under Windows and attaching those nulls to my tracking points. I plan on doing this multiple times in one composition, so any help would be great! Thank you

So I have 120 fps Videogame footage, but I'd like to upload it to YouTube, and most people don't have 120 Hz monitors. So, I have to render at 60 fps. However, I want the footage to look like it's still 120 fps, to keep things smooth looking. I found a video that did this by somewhat combining the two frames into one, which is somewhat of a lossless compression technique. By pausing at any given point on the video mentioned, you could see a "ghost" of an extra frame that wasn't already in the video. It acts as motion blur, but it isn't as obvious since it wasn't "faked". Also, motion blur will blur UI components in the game, which doesn't look as it should. I suspect it was done in After Effects, though it could also be done in a video editor like Premiere Pro. Does anyone know how to replicate this?

Hi,I want to use 'Fill Effect' only on a part of a text layer without affecting the entire text  layer at  a specific time.  Is it possible?  I am trying to apply Fill effect 'on a specific part of the text'  'at a specific time'. When the highlight beings in the part 'in America' I want the color to change from black to white, but If I apply fill at that time the entire text layer gets affected. I want rest of the text layer remain black, only 'in America' to change from black to white when the highlight begins. I tried spliting layers, but its too much. I have to redo all the masks and nulls, I dnt wanna do that. Please guide me.  

I'm trying to create a color correction setup for the same footage but in several different formats, so it would be much easier to just set it up once and be sure it's consistent in all formats. I thought this should be achievable by having an adjustment layer inside a precomp which would be used in different formats. This is working, but the moment I apply a matte to the precomp the adjustment layer stops working completely. Maybe this is an expected behaviour but it also feels weird, since other elements in a collapsed precomps work completly fine with mattes. Thanks in advance for your help.

hello, is it possible in After Effects to select layers directly on the timeline with just the mouse? Not on the left side where the name of the layer is, but on the right side. I just want to mark the layers with the mouse cursor, without having to hold ctrl and click on each layer.

Hi forum. Is there a way to export a text layer from AE into PS? I happen to play around with the tracking and kerning of a font, and need to get it into PS to do additional work. I treid to do the same tracking and kerning in PS, But I cant get it correct. So the only way to fix it is, if I can export the text into PS. Thank you.  

 I am using a 16 inch 2019 macbook proAfter Effects version 23.1.0 (build 83) I was editing a cinema 4d lite file in After Effects and then after effects froze. After a few minutes I had to force quit after effects. When I reopened I got the following error message in after effects  (I can open C4D and make changes in there however),  When googling it, people who got a similar (but not quite the same message) were told to check the options in C4D Lite and check the renderer. When I do I only see this, which is missing the options for to select an option for renderer and editing. I have an older version of After Effects that works just fine, but can't open the project saved in the 23.1 version.I uninstalled it and using version 23 it worked fine (but still wouldn't open project file that was saved in 23.1).When I upgrade to 23.1 again I get the same error message listed above. 

Hi, the trusty "New Comp From Selection" command is perrenially greyed out. I've tried new projects, updating, searching for info, but have come up with nothing. Anyone know whats going on? Major timesaver unavailable! See image.

Hi everybody,i'm posting here because i'm out of solutions... 😞AE, PR, AME all are 24.1Win11, RTX4070 12go, nvidia 546.33, 32go ddr5.Here all my problems :- After effects 24.1 : can't start, when start it, it will burn all the RAM untill crashing the computer.- Premiere Pro 24.1 : I can't work on my projects because all the medias are pending, localising medias and graphics is loading for ever, the dynamic link is loading for ever, the essentials graphics are loading for ever too.- Media Encoder 24.1 : when loading a project it stop at 3/4 progress bar and loading forever, can't even queue antyhing. So everything i tried :- uninstall / reinstall all adobe creative suit, with cleaning with adobe cleaning tool too.- clean and delete every cache and preferences files.- install "open Cl / open GL ..." from microsoft store.- uninstall / reinstall Nvidia pilots, geforce experience, studio version, i tried everything.- whitelisted every adobe .exe in windows firewall public and p

Bonjour,Je utilise un macbook pro de 2014 que je viens de passer en BigSur.Je viens d'installer AE et ME 23. Depuis impossible de charger une vidéo correctement dans mes compostions. Ecran vert par intermitence, voix quis se ralentissent lors de la prévisualisation. Importation impossible, la vidéo se coupe et devient verte. Tous les autres éléments de la composition ne posent pas de problème.Avez-vous un conseil pour résoudre ce problème ?

Hi, I have two questions- 1- Today I discover an unknown button( seems like an anchor point) in graph editor. I dnt understand what is that and it's purpose. Please tell me what is it if you know. 2- What actually happens when I move  a bazier handle up and down in graph editor.  does it have any impact if I move it up and down?if yes,what impact is that? Thank you. 

After scaling down the comp using the default script Scale Composition.jsx, which comes by defaut  with AE, the  expression that links the camera focus to a 3d layer, doesn't do the job.Reapplying it using the menu command Layer>Camera>Link focus distance to camera doesn't fix the problem even after restarting AE.

Can someone explain how to fix this?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMCK0p37ukI MP4, recorded with webcam. The animation was working fine and aligned with the saber. But when I went to replay it as seen above, it is no longer aligned. How do I fix this?
