After Effects

I'm using After Effects beta to the highest update on my m2 MacBook Air. It won't let me activate Cinema 4D rendering on my composition (a very simple composition) it immediately crashes. Please help thank you

Bom dia, Estou com um problema, que não sei identificar se será do After Effects ou do Illustrator.Realizei um projeto no Illustrator, que quero passar para o After Effects para fazer a sua animação.No entanto, quando importo o projeto para o After Effects, primeiramente, não me aparece a janela que é suposto aparecer, em que eu escolho "camadas". E, quando é importado, não aparecem as camadas do Illustrator, aparecendo o projeto com o símbolo o AI. Já atualizei os programas, já eliminei tudo de raíz do meu computador e voltei a instalar e mesmo assim dá sempre o mesmo erro.Já experimentei com outros ficheiros AI e acontece exatamente o mesmo.

So, since Saturday I haven't accessed After Effects, the error occurs when initiating the application, and it asks me to start in safe mode, I do, but nothing happens, I already uninstalled all plugins and uninstalled and reinstalled After Effects. It only happens with After Effects, other Adobe software like Photoshop and Illustrator work well. I'm in the middle of a delivery. I REALLY need this working today.Thanks

i have been trying Roto brush 3.0 today, 1.0 and 2.0 works fine but when i use 3.0 my screen turns purple like in this image, any ideas why this is happening? all drivers have been upadtes. i am using a Intel A770 with an AMD 7950X .

Can anyone help me with this error message? My workflow:I have a Samsung T7 and open my Project with Premiere Pro. On the Clip, that i want to edit with After Effects i click to „Replace with After Effects Composition“. After Effects opens and i choose my T7 SSD to save the file. After i click on SAVE this Error Message appears.I also deleted After Effects several times and installed.....Can anyone help me? it‘s just so frustrating..

As the title says, every time I start After Effects (24.0.3) an empty folder with the name and tree structure (3 empty folders within) of an old project that I trashed months ago (stored on an external drive) pops up on my desktop. I, in order:» Updated the OS to Sonoma from the previous OS.» Uninstalled and Re-Installed AE multiple times.» Deleted all the preferences, Unistalled and Re-installed AE. » ... The folder keeps showing up. I'm honestly at lost... please help.

Everytime I import my MP4 videos in After Effects, It gets a bit glitchy and shows green or white lines that scatter all over the footage. Is there a reason why?

I didn't even do any additional work on said files, AE works perfectly with my other (larger in size) projects. I tried everything from copying to renaming to importing to new projects, I disabled all fonts.The projects opens and some compositions open up (while on caps lock) but other comps just crash the whole thing. This is months of work so I need a fix hahaha. Sent crash reports with email ID, please help X(

So, at first Adobe automatically uninstall all my previous versions of AE without asking (Including 2023 and Beta) and install After Effects 2024 (obviously without any extensions and plugins I was using in previous versions) just to give me this: Now I can run it and I have to install another version again (if I want to continue in my work ofc).Thank you Adobe, much appreciated

Since the release of After Effects 2023 on Mac OS, I've been plagued by issues launching it every time I do an update. The issue seems to be some new security protocols that have been implemented, which mean that older plugins (which haven't been compiled using the more recent versions of Xcode) trigger a security alert on launch - bringing a up a popup window that says "Plugin: xxxxx is from an unidentified developer" and the option to cancel or move that plugin to the bin.  You can force it to ignore this by opening security preferences in system preferences and then manually approving it for each individual plugin (by clicking "cancel" on the popup, then clicking "allow" in the security pref pane). As you can imagine, if you've got a couple dozen plugins that trigger this, it's a bit of a pain in the bum.Now, I'm sure some white knight will now speak up and say "Well, Dan - just update your plugins, you dinosaur!" Upon using the 3D Camera Tracker effect, it properly tracks my clip and puts points that follow and seem realisitc. When I click create camera, the camera is given some crazy calculated numbers for it's location, and all text or solids (etc), are extremely small and seem to have location issues when scaled up (they vere off from where the tracker says they are). Here is a clip of my timeline: (which also includes the rediculously large numbers provided for the camera) and here is the text that was created when right-clicking a point. it is legit so small it is the red dot in the bottom left corner. I have no idea where to go from here, I can provide as much information as needed, thanks in advance for anyone's help!

Hi Guys!I noticed two white horizontal lines in the composition that weren't there in the AI illustration file. It also persists when I export the composition into a mp4 file. I've tried rerendering it, playing around w/ the composition, and checking for updates but nothing seems to be working. What are your guys thoughts? Illustration file:AE file:mp4 file:

 does anyone know how to fix this two screens everytime that i try to play my video it opens a new compostion and plays in there with no timeline or anything its just a screen at the bottom i need help im really started to get angry rn cause i feel stupid this happend randomly as i was reloding a clip because it was glitching and then next thing u know it have two screen that wont even go away and no it not the viewing its only at one and mean while i still have two screens. please someone help me before i go insane. thank you!

I am realitively new to After Effects. I have a rather large jpeg that I am using for a background image. It is a map. I want to create a line moving across the map using the stroke effect. The composition settings are: Width 7680px, height 2733px, frame rate 29.97, resolution Full, duration 35 sec. My system is Windows 10 Pro with an i7 processor and 64 GB of Ram. When I run a preview, the preview stops at 26 sec point and then replays. It doesn't go to the end of the composition. The resulting file when I render it doesn't display any video. I am using H264 - match rendering setting 15 mbps. However, I have created this type of project in the past, without any issues. It just seems since I upgraded that I am having this issue. I am sure it is a setting but I don't know where to look. Any help would be approciated.

Hello, the motion moving line is not showing up. So I cannot see the object is moving. Does anyone know how to fix it? Also in other project when I start the video my object is not moving and when I drag it I am seeing that is moving?

Until recently, I could drag a vector asset from my CC Library into the After Effects Project panel, and then use it in AE. Now, when I do the same thing, the resulting item in the project panel is no longer an Ai-file, but an empty placeholder? And in some cases, even though I for example drag my own company logo from the Library panel into the Project panel, it's not only a placeholder, but it tells me to license the file through Adobe Stock?! What is going on? How can I fix this to again to be able to use Library assets in After Effects?

How can I attach a video (animation mp4) to this can that the video does wrap around the can/bottle (full side of the can)? I have looked online for hours and cant find any examples. I have done a few examples, but the new video files does not move with the can, or the new video does not move.Here is my example video...ThanksJimmy

Hi I have an annoying problem.When letting go of the playhead, my mouse cursor stutters/lags for a short period and then returns to moving smoothly.I can quickly drag and release the playhead a few times and it lags almost every time and I've noticed my screen is slightly flickering at the same time. 1. This only happens in AE.2. When I turn off both of my GPU's in the NVIDIA CUDA Settings for AE, the problem disappears (I want to use my GPU's tho)3. I have tested both GPU's individually (removed each from case) - doesn't make a difference4. When I record my screen with OBS, in the recording the mouse moves just fine.5. It even happens when nothing is in the composition at all ... empty comp, just moving the playhead 5950X // RTX A6000 + RTX 2080 Ti

While working with expressions a noticed something strange going on with my box sizes when a text used faux bold & sourceRectAtTime().After investigating I discovered that at 100pt, faux bold always ads 10.8 ... px to the initial bounding box.The measured actual difference was 4px in the case of Time New Roman. I can reproduce this behavior in both the latest AE 23.3 version and the AE Beta 24.2.0. I added a sample AE files that describes this issue.Why is this an issue? I wanted to create a rectangle around text with faux bold that reacts to / sclaes with the fonts used in the text. Is this intended behavior or an actual bug?

So after all of the hype about these machines and the incredible amount of RAM than no one could possible need or use. I am constantly running into low memory, run out of memory warming banner. AE will not allow me to allocate any less than 24gb for the system and it's becoming infutiating.   I've moved form a mac pro with 256gb RAM so this after all of the "apple marketing" turns out this sytems is yet to be a mac pro killer.  Any advice - or is this also a bit of an adobe bottleneck? I've also spoken to Apple who of course blame it all on adobe. But the fact i cannot upgrade the RAM anymore - seems RIDICULOUS.  

I've been experimenting with AEGP_RenderAndCheckoutLayerFrame_Async lately, and came across some interesting behavior. I believe further experimentation could result in some pretty interesting usage from within AEGPs.Starting with my version of the `Grabba` sample project, I created an AsyncManager class to handle calling AEGP_RenderAndCheckoutLayerFrame_Async.Couple of interesting tidbits I've noticed:- This call IS safe to use on other threads, as long as only one thread is calling it at a time.- The Callback Function comes from `BEE.dll`, and works with (I haven't tried all, but I'd assume) all standard AEGP calls. Main pain points/questions-I'm looking for recommendations on capturing and safely returning the AEGP_WorldH (referred to as WorldPtr in my library) back to the main thread from the callback function. Currently, I've tried captureing by reference in the lambda and directly returning as a future, but I'm seeing some memory issues in doing so ( I believe corruption related)

Hello! I recently lost an AE file I used to create several MOGRTs. I never exported said MOGRTs as such files, simply exported them into the creative cloud library. I now need to make some changes to said MOGRTS, but I can't find a way to download them from the creative cloud and open them back up in After Effects. I tried going through Premiere, revealing the comp in finder and opening the AE file it provides, but After Effects can't read that file ("bad format or not readable"). Any help at all would be very appreciated.Thanks!
