After Effects

Hi. I have reinstalled After Effects 23.6 on my newly formatted laptop on windows 11 with an Nvidia 3070 graphics card. Hi, I am trying to import a .ma file that was exported from pftrack into after effects. In PFTrack the frame rate is set to 23.976 but when I import it into AE it comes in as a composition at 30 fps. I can't find a way to re-interpret the frame rate of a comp, and changing the frame rate in the comp settings isn't really an option because it messes up the tracking key frames. Any help would be appreciated.

In AE 23 with OS Ventura I get these things that pop up, kind of like tool tips, only they contain the names of random files that have nothing to do with the projects I'm in. They block my view of what's underneath them and it's driving me crazy.

I have previously requested Adobe's help countless times for the same problem, and I have had this for almost a month or more.My problem is the following: When I create a solid, a layer or import a video, the display screen of my composition disappears and lags; Also the timeline stops working when I put it on play. Previously with Adobe Support we have tried the following options:1. Install and uninstall After Effects2. Try with old versions3. Reset the preferences options4. Change my After Effects folders to .old5. Install new updated graphic drivers6. Clean cache and memory7. Set the parameters of my preferences8. Delete all my plugins and scripts9. And now lastly, Adobe support have COMPLETELY uninstalled my entire Adobe set, with the Adobe cleantool tool, they have cleaned and deleted all traces of Adobe from my computer. Every time I open up a new window or move a UI panel it screws up my entire layout everything resizes into some weird size. it's annoying as hell and I have to go in and resize UI panels. Is this a setting I accidentally turned on? I don't remember AE doing this 3 or 4 years ago, I thought it might be a bug and I've just been dealing with it.

How do I change the color of text if I am using a template (essential graphics)? I have tried to turn the expression icon off under source text on the layer but doesn't work.

Im working on a roto animation in Afte rEffects that is using the paint effect and brush tool to close shapes so that the paint bucket with reverse fill will fill in the closed shapes. I'm going frame by frame draing in lines to close the shapes but it seems like every new set of lines I draw dont work in a weay completely different from the last.Sometimes the draw lines only show up on the layer view when I'm drawing them but not in the composition so the bucket doesnt work. Sometimes I need to adust (what seems like) literally any stroke or transform option on each brush stroke to have it pop in. Some pen strokes will stop working in the middle of their duration for one frame or so. I could honestly go on and it's all over the place and driving me crazy.So far the only solution I know is to draw 4 lines at a time, adjust them to their right duration, then mess with a few random setting by a fraction and hope they will show up in the composition for the paint fill to recognize the clo

My computer specs exceed recommeded for AE:ANy Ideas what this is caused by? Web View2 is installed. After days of research, I can't find anyone else suffering this issue. Clearly there's something wrong with my After Effects settings or my computer because I've uninstalled and re-installed the latest After Effects apps several times (including Beta versions), and I've experimented with a variety of footage, each in its own project. The subpar results are roughly consistent.When I initiate the Rotobrush process, regardless of version, the tool quickly recognizes the subject that I'm removing from the background and needs very little help creating the outline. But within 1 frame of starting the propagation in Rotobrush 2.0, the outline dramatically shrinks and continues to do so until the outline disappears, usually within a few frames. If I stop the process after 1 frame to correct the outline and "remind" the tool where the ssubject is, it returns to the diminished outline on the very next frame. Hello! I need to animate a spline pattern to make each line appear individually.  When I set the keyframes on copies value, they occur gradually as if opacity was turning on although I need them to appear instantly. What would you suggest in this case?

 Hello, I'm trying to create a fake 3d extrusion effect using the "copies" property of the Repeater parameter on a shape layer by following this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQ1p1NBstVQThe problem is when I animate the position of the layer, the movement is not smooth as the tutorial shows, it is "wiggle", I believe this must be how copies behaves, generating copy by copy in a non-linear way. Do you have any ideas on how to get around this problem?Note: I used the expression "math.round (value)" in the copies parameter to avoid the Fade-in effect in the animation interpolation. So I know I can select a group of words in a line of text and scale them up using text animators. But they then overlap with the unscaled words next to them and become unreadable. I have a client that has stated that they want this sort of highlighting and it's for a really long video to play at a kind of trade fair; 88 different pages with text in them. With a lot of long lines that I need to copy and paste. I feel that I'll need to split them all up into separate text object and work out the code using source-rectangle size but I was wondering if anyone knows a quick fix that I'm unaware of. Many thanks, John

I am working on a project for class however when I transferred the photos over to my computer it looks like it deleted image 0607. Because it is expecting that image to be there it seems to be giving me this rainbow bar. I do not have the SD card these images came from and everything has already been erased off that card since it was one used at my school. How can I get rid of this one image in my sequence without messing up the whole thing? (Also sorry for my lack of knowledge. I literally just started using this program today). 

I get always wrong white values in my clips after exporting. A simple shape with 255,255,255 are after exporting 254,254,254.I work on a Mac (Monterey) with the last Ae version. It works perfectly on Windows.

Cependant,j’avais besoin de 64 Go et en mettant des nouvelles RAM, le souci est revenu de plus belle et pire. Entre temps, j’ai changé la carte graphique et les RAM Voici ma configuration actuelle Carte mère : Asus Prime Z490-PProcesseur : Intel Core i9-10850KCarte graphique : GeForce RTX 3060 TiEt les nouvelles RAM : Transcend JetRam - DDR4 3200 MHz Voilà, je ne sais pas si cela peut aider ou si cela peut vous donner une idée. Hello, I have inherited a project that illustrates magnified effects. A cartoon iPad that scans across the hills.Can you confirm - is the transform 'effect' is still available? I guess there is 'magnify' but it is a different effect. Or is there anything similar that will work on an adjustment layer? Not to be confused with normal transform tools. Many thanks Julian

I keep a mac in my in-laws' garage for quick fixes, cleanup and roto work, but it's rather decrepit at this point. I'm thinking of upgrading on the cheap to a M2 Mac Mini with 16gb RAM.  Has anyone been working in 4k with only 16gb RAM? The jump up to M2 Pro/32gb doesn't feel worth it unless the simpler M2 machine really can't cut it.
