After Effects

Hello,  Im trying to open in after effects 24.6.2 a file from 24,0 but I´m getting the following error message. Is there any chance that I can open? I have the same problem with all files.Thanks!

I noticed that the premade output preset “High Quality, which uses ProRes 422 is set to 16.7 millions colors which is 8-Bit per Channel. Why? ProRes 422 is 10 Bit codec, so the setting should be set to billions colors.Of course I can change it myself, but in my eyes the preset should be corrected, many people render their movies in bad color quality. 

I'm experiencing what appears to be a VRAM memory leak in Adobe After Effects.When working on a project, GPU VRAM usage gradually increases over time, especially when repeatedly adjusting effect properties or previewing the composition. The VRAM is not properly released, eventually reaching the full 16 GB capacity and causing After Effects to crash due to running out of GPU memory.What's strange is that even after closing the project, the VRAM usage remains high instead of being released. The only reliable way to free the VRAM is to completely close After Effects.Here's what I've already tried:- Purging all caches- Switching the renderer to Mercury Software Only- Reinstalling the GPU driverThe issue still occurs. I have also observed similar VRAM behavior in Premiere Pro.My system:- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (16 GB VRAM)- CPU: Intel Core i5-14400F- RAM: 48 GB- Windows 11 25H2- After Effects version: 26.3Has anyone experienced a similar issue?Is this a known problem with After Effects,

I'm trying to find an effect that is equal to Flip Horizontal.I want the objec to flip from one side of the screen to the other. What Effect can I use for this?

After effects recently did an auto update and now I see the New viewer option is gone??This is a crucial funtion I need to see how my precomps update in the main comp.  Is this a mistake? Has it moved somewhere else?? After Effects 25.2.2 

When I hit play, it starts playing after 2 seconds or so when I use the Studio Display XDR speakers. If I change the speakers to MacBook Pro speakers or my audio interface, the latency goes away.

Whenever I click the dropdown to change the font for text, it glitches, won't let me, and says that error, "After Effects warning: cannot create font [insert font]" (a few different fonts have been cited). I'm by no means talented with this software, I'm a Premiere woman, but I've tried all the basics. Trash preferences, clear cache, new project, restart AE, restart computer, etc. Is anyone familiar with this error?

Bug Report: Inner Glow and Outer Glow Layer Styles Not Working Properly in After EffectsI am experiencing an issue with the Inner Glow and Outer Glow effects under Layer Styles in After Effects.Issue Description:When I apply either Inner Glow or Outer Glow to a layer, the effect does not produce any visible glow. Instead of creating a soft glowing effect around or inside the object, it simply fills the selected area with the chosen glow color, making it appear as a solid color overlay. Every time I start up After Effects I'm getting the 'disc cache full' pop-up box (see screenshot) - yet my cache is empty and my hard drive has space on it. Screenshots showing that my disc cache is set to 92GB and my hard drive has 220GB of free space.

I undocked the Lumetri window because I wanted to drag it to the right side of the screen (it appeared on the left). I positioned it where I wanted, but as you can see, the window doesn't have a "dock window" option, so now I still have a separate window.

the problem started with me changing the all the files from C: drive to another drive, not only did it lost its application logo, but also frequently crashes when trying to mask, the masking feature only has box select and not auto or custom part select, is this problem beacause i moved the file from the C: drive to E: drive, both the drives are of the same nvme and are only seperate beacuse of partation, so why does it glitched so much

I have uninstalled and reinstalled all the different versions of after effects and the problem persists, it happened after the most recent updated, I cannot click and drag from the project panel, I cannot click and drag layers through time. The timeline bottom window slider works fine (resetting windows explorer / doing the click and drag esc cache reset does not work / I did a restore image of windows) A fresh project seems fine, when I open a project from an older version I can drag files / move layers for a moment and then it stops - I have a log while in safe mode with all the 3rd party plugins disabled and I can drag them for a moment and then they stop - I have all startup / background tasks (nvidia, epic games, steam ect.) all turned off - it is driving me nuts, I may have to rebuild the project from scratch fresh.

I use AE on a few different client machines as well as my own. On ONLY one of those client machines,  every time I use “Increment and Save” the new file drops the leading zeros in the version number.For example MyProject_v001.aep increments to MyProject_v2If I “SaveAs” MyProject_v002 and repeat “Increment and Save” the new project is MyProject_v2.All of these machines are on Version 26.3.0. My first thought was there’s a new setting (since it’s never done this in 20 years of using AE). I checked nothing I could see.Any ideas? Not critical but frustrating.Thank you
