After Effects

After Effects version 25.6.0MacOS 26.1 While using After Effects, and only After Effects, I find that every few keystrokes is ignored by the program. It happens everywhere, when renaming layers, when typing in timecode, when typing text into a text box. Goes without saying the expected behavior is that... that doesn't happen. Here's an example best I could show it with screencapturing software. You can see me start typing and I enabled keystrokes and you can see clearly that I typed several characters towards the end and it completely ignored those characters that I typed. This isn't unique to text boxes, it happens everywhere in the program. When typing in fonts, when renaming folders in the project panel, when typing in timecode, renaming layers in the timeline, you name it, this is happening all the time. Video on Dropbox

desde ya varias versiones atras la importación por capas de archivos illustrator que no va bien , apacian las capas duplicadas una con el elemneto y otra vacía, ahora en la nueva version se corrigió pero la posicion de las capas no es la correcta, ojalá que puedan solucionar pronto ese problema ya que es muy importante a la hora de animar elementos que se precomponen en illustrator.

Ever since verison 25.2 we have been noticing a weird bug.We work in 32bit ACES exclusively.Every now and then we come across a composition that just clamps all the HDR values down to 1.I've managed to isolate a comp like that and the problem itself:- AE ver 25.2 or later (even Beta)- comp has minimum 3 layers- at least two layers must be in Add mode - both have to have motion blur turned on- motion blur in the comp is on The problem fixes itself in any of the following cases:- one of the layers gets hidden - so that only one additive layer remains- you disable motion blur in the comp- you disable motion blur on one of the layers, so that only 1 layer has motion blur- you switch renderer from GPU to software- you open the same project in AE 25.1 This occurs rarely, but if we find a comp like that it bugs out on all our machines- rtx 4xxxx or rtx5xxxx- win10 or win11- throughout the last year we've reainstalled gpu drivers 3-4 times already I have an example project - I c

I've added photos to all of the Modify Your Pictures Here placeholders by selecting Set Proxy.  I play the movie and they're all there.  I add the composition to the Render Queue and it makes a generic placeholder movie.  Am I using the "Set Proxy" wrong?  Please help!

I see this issue popping up going back years but none of the suggested fixes works. This many tears on, it's astonishing that the same issue continues to happen but here we are. Mac Studio M3 UltraAE 25.6C4D 2026.1 Error:After Effects error: Error during event PF_Cmd_SEQUENCE_SETUPCode (A_Err_GENERIC): Cinema 4D 2025 must be installed in order to use "Cineware by Maxon". Making an Iphone unlock animation for my school project and I used Adobe Illustrator to make each of the assets. Each of the assets are on separated layers so that it would be easier to animate in After EffectsWhen I imported the Illustrator files into After Effects, each of the layers don't have transparent background but instead have a white background. Thus the other assets cannot be seen because of the white background blocking them.When I was importing the Illustrator files I chose Import Kind: Composition and Footage Dimensions: Document Size. My Illustrator files are also PDF compatible. i created an Audio Spectrum layer for Side A and it looks fine. then i duplicated that same layer, adjusted it for Side B, and noticed that the Side B spectrum is compositing on top of the first one. in the overlap area it darkens / ruins the Side A spectrum, as if the second layer is “covering” the first, even though Deep Glow is set to Screen.could you explain why this happens and what the correct workflow is so that two Audio Spectrum + Deep Glow layers don’t affect each other when they overlap?i already tried doing it via pre-comp and via Set Matte, but it didn’t fix the issue.

In the Smart Render phase, when usingERR(extra->cb->checkout_layer_pixels(in_data->effect_ref, CHECK_OUT_INPUT_ID, &input));checking out a layer that has the AEGP_LayerFlag_LAYER_IS_3D and AEGP_LayerFlag_COLLAPSE flags results in the checked-out layer’s extent_hint being set to the full composition size. Is there a way to obtain the precise extent_hint that only covers the non-zero alpha area? The performance overhead from unnecessary pixels is significant.

Getting attached error on some calls to checkout_layer_pixels if rendering with MFR. Any idea what this could be?

My After Effects can't create Motion Graphic Template. I've tried on new, empty project with a single title and it literally does nothing after I hit "Export" button. Can't find any info in log's or smth. Verry frustrating bug.

Hi everyone!I'm working in After Effects using the Saber effect on a solid that has mask paths. My issue is that when I scale up the mask path, the Saber effect doesn’t automatically scale along with it. I can see the mask growing, but the effect stays at its original size.Is there a more streamlined way to have the Saber effect automatically follow the mask scaling, or do I need to manually adjust the Saber parameters every time? Any tips or workflows to handle this are much appreciated!Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,I’m having a really frustrating issue with text tracking in After Effects, and I can’t figure out why it behaves this way. I start by creating a text layer and, in the Paragraph panel on the right, I make sure the text alignment is set to center. I then position the text layer in the middle of the composition as usual.After that, I open the text layer properties, expand the Text options, go to Animate, and add Tracking. I animate the tracking value, for example from 0 to 5. This is where the problem appears. When the tracking increases, one letter in the middle of the text stays completely fixed, while the other letters move away from it. From what I understand, since the text is centered and the tracking is increasing, the entire line of text should expand evenly from the center, not keep a single letter locked in place.What makes this even more confusing is that this does not happen all the time. Dear Developer or adobe team. I have few question about this bug/error.I can't import photoshop file into my new after effect project. While i imports from adobe photoshop, there's an error pop up in my screen (image1). And then when i click OK, there's another error pop up in my screen (image2). But after this notification, i can't see my imported file. AE is just not rendering. But when linked to Premiere Pro, it plays in there.
