After Effects

Top and bottom camera views do not display anything in 23.3.  Left, right, and front seem to work. Windows 10.

I recently built a new pc and it's quiet powerful compared to what I used before. But now, I've been noticing a serious issue with After Effects 2023. While previewing any video, many glitched frames are being generated which go away when I clear the cache. The glitches are like, some random frames of the video become dark blueish, as if I had applied hue/saturation on them, where as 1 or 2 frames get inverted (up side down).The moment I purge memory and disk cache, the glitched frames are gone, but after 1-2 minutes of scrubbing through the timeline, more glitches come back to different places in the video. I am not able to understand if this is an issue with my RAM (because it being ddr5 has high frequency but it also has a high cache latency) or SSD? Or maybe it is just an After Effects version issue. I'm not even sure if I should report this as a bug, or create a discussion. I'm going with bug, because this is clearly not supposed to happen in my operating system and I wanna smack the dev that thought this was a good ideaearlier today, I needed to access my appdata to clear some caches for a clean reinstall of a different program and...I found a number of Adobe folders, all for After Effects, with characters that took up less than a pixel, or partial pixels. After copying and pasting, I figures out these symbols automatically existed before the cursor, making them impossible to remove if they're the first character in a string. It's absolutely stunning!It's also absolutely reckless and dangerous activity, for a trusted program to engage in.The characters are ֑ ֒ ֓ ֔ ֕ ֖ ֠ and ֣  , though they actually change depending on the exitence of spaces, have some glitches when copied, or being the first character in a string. notice how this is multiple in one character, usin

Yesterday, AE was working fine. I am on insane deadlines right now and was working all day.Today, I turned on my machine. Premiere works fine. Photoshop works fine. AE didn't open properly... Everything initialized, the program opened visually, and I could see my custom workspace... but none of the plug ins or extensions finished loading (motion 3, etc), and AE never became the active app on my machine. I could click on it in the dock, command tab to it, etc... I could grab the AE windows and drag them around, but I couldn't click anything within the app, but the Menu bar belonging to OSX at the top of the screen would never say 'After Effects', only the last app I had open.Anyone had anything similar happen?

Hi to allI have a CEP bundle I developed that is made out of two panels with different ids.Encountered a strange issue on Windows machines only: When manually closing one panel the other panel remains but goes blank/empty - all the buttons disappear and all functionality stops.Any advice on how to solve this?Thanks!

Something that always works for me on mac is when I overwrite an image sequence, it updates immediately. On PC it never updates and if I choose reload, nothing happens. In fact, if I import that footage, it doesn't even add a (1) or something at the end. The file name is a duplicate. Not sure what else you need for specs but this is saving to an external SSD drive and it is the latest version of windows 11. Restarting the application or machine does not fix this.

HiAfter Effects no longer remembers where it last rendered as it's default render location.You HAVE to click on the output module and select it evety time you open After Effects.I have noticed that if I have used an Animation Preset, it will go there instead of the last rendered location.If I havn't it will go to the last location but only after I select it.Hope this helps with the long overdue fix of this. We're using a lot of output template for every delivery: somehow in the last weeks the output for EXR with DWAB compression stopped remebering that we want the "Use Comp Frame Number" setting always ticked on. The setting is remembered on other image-based output seetings, such as PNG, EXR with PIZ compression, and others.We tried to change the setting from various angles, but at any quit of After Effects the software doesn't remember it. This happens on both PC and MAC with M2.We're all using AE 23.3.0We use MacOs 12.4 and Windows 10 Pro 21H2Thanks!

Al momento de importar documentos en psd no se esta renderizando las capas y encima no me carga como capas sino como una especie de icono de imagenes, y siempre la carga con un tiempo de 00:00:10 segundos por mas que busque cambiar ese tiempo no me lo permite, cuando abro documentos anteriores de after me carga con normalidad pero solo cuando intento importar estas composiciones de photoshop pasa estop porfa ayudenme con una solución inmediata 

I'm getting random dropouts of layers while rendering in the latest update. Layers will disappear for a frame and pop back on the next. What's strange is that I went back a version to 23.2.1 and the randomness has gone away, but I'll have layers with frames that are out of sequence, like 1, 2, 4, 3, 5. Any help or advice is appreciated otherwise I can't show anything to clients.

Hi. I'm getting nothing but horrible crashes with Maxon's Denoiser III (2023.2.0) in the latest After Effects update (23.3). As soon as I open a comp that has the effect applied it crashes out. Previously (on a Mac), I'd get an error dialog giving an out of range error (sorry didn't do a screen capture) and be able to keep working. Now it just crashes out with no recourse. I've also let Maxon know about this. Windows 10, Pro 21H2, Threadripper 3970X.

Just updated to 23.2 this morning. The font in the expression editor has changed to a non-monospaced font, which makes my code so much harder to read. Can't seem to find any solution. Thrashed preference files, loaded older preference files, tried a reinstall, still stuck with this trainwreck of a font for scripting.Any tips to what I should do, besides waiting for the next update to (hopefully) fix this? My Specs:MacBook M1 ProMacOS Ventura 13.1 

Hallo, ich bekomme neuerdings ständig diesen Fehler: Soundspeicher konnte nicht zugewiesen werden (26 § 392) Ich lade einen mp4 clip in AE, will mir die Wellenform ansehen und bekomme dann dieses Popup. Ich habe schon den Sound extrahiert, in m4a und wav. Keine Änderung. Beim Exportieren befindet sich dann immer kein Ton im Clip… Was tu ich: ich erstelle ein Projekt, lade den Film rein und erstelle eine Komposition. Dann Wellenform ansehen. Fehler.  Ich habe AE 23.0, es aber auch mit 22 probiert. Installierter RAM 32GB, für andere Anwendungen reserviert: 6GB. Apple M1 Max.  Ich weiß nicht weiter und bin gespannt auf Hilfe.

Every time I update AE to its new version, the Video Preview settings are never carried over, even though I've told it to migrate my preferences from the previous version - as such AE's video previews always default back to Adobe Immersive Environement, and immediately loads SteamVR. Changing the setting to disable the AIE obviously fixes the issue, however it just comes back again on the next software update. And it's getting quite annoying. Is there any way the software updates can remember the video preview settings going forward? especially when I click the option to migrate my preferences over.

Whenever I import a movie or an TV episode into after effects the audio becomes muffled and distant but when I play it using Media Player, Windows Media Player or the standard Films & TV player; the audio is completely fine. It seems the audio only becomes muffle and distant once imprted into After Effects. I've been trying to find a fix for this for days now to no avail. If any can help me find the cause and a diagnosis, I would be extremely grateful.  PC specs: CPU: Intel i7 9700 3.00 GHz 8 coreGPU: Nvidia GTX 1660tiRAM: Corsai DDR4 8x2  

I click collect dependencies and the spinning wheel comes on, and nothing happens. I've restarted and nothing happens I wish I could just go to an older AE that works but that's not possible. I'm on Windows, a really fast machine. This is a serious problem. I need to get this project onto another drive to send to someone. on a tight deadline.  

The "Compound Arithmetic" effect does not work with the "Copy" operator selected inside of mogrts when imported into Premiere. The "Compound Arithmetic" effect is included in AE only for legacy support, as per the documentation; my suggestion is that this effect is moved into the "Obsolete" category to ensure that beginner users are deterred from utilizing this effect, given that it does not work properly with some of After Effect's more recent features. For those looking for a workaround to copy footage from one layer to another (which is extremely useful within mogrts), I recommend using the "Set Channels" effect instead, which does work within mogrts imported into Premiere.

Dear Adobe, as it seems, my file is corrupt.I tried all possibilities (capslock, importing to new project, remove files). I have no autosaved file !I need an Adobe Admin to open my project into "special" AE bulid and then send me back the file.Could you please do that for me ?! Hello. The dynamic link is not working. When I try to use a sequence, from Adobe Premiere, in After Effects I just can't do it: After Effect composition seems not to accept the sequence. I'm using After Effects version 23.3; and 23.2 of Adobe Premiere.

Hey, I'm currently experiencing a "overloaded" essential graphics window again. I use Essential Graphics properties pretty extensively in my projects, since they are just so convient.But now and then I hit the bug that the properties get "out of line" after the program loaded them in.I couldn't really reproduce, when this happens, since I have some comps that have more properties and don't have this issue. And other that have less and do.The sliders still work and if you export it for Premiere, everything is fixed. But you can't access the properties that render "behind" the editable ones. Sometimes redoing everthing will fix it, but not always and it tends to come back. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong here? Edit:After some further work, the glitched out part stays in the essential graphics window for other comps. You can interact with the glitched part but it doesn't affect anything.

Hi! I have a problem with 3d camera tracking in Ae 23.3 MacOS 12.5. M1 Ultra. It looks like the tracking is not apply to the footage but on something else. Something static with no movement.Whatever the footage, the tracking always looks the same and has no movement.On my old laptop with Ae 2019 16.0.1 Those three different footage are perfectly tracked. Thanks, Van.

Hey, I am currently working on a composition with a framerate of 120fps.When I cut the material/ layer (an image sequence also on 120fps) the cuts are not straight and they get extended by a bit which eventually also influences the image as suddenly I have two layers overlapping each other. I really do not understand why this is happening. Also, I do not have any problems with a different framerate.   Maybe anyone here has an idea?
