After Effects (Beta)

Hi Y'all!     As of AE Beta 24.4 x 20, you can now add .obj 3D models from your CC Libraries directly into your project in Beta. Open the Libraries panel and simply drag-and-drop your 3D model into the Project Panel or Comp Window. You can also right-click on the 3D Model thumbnail in the Libraries Panel and add .obj files via the context menu.      Cool!     But how do you get .obj models into your CC Libraries??     Good question!  This option now gives you access to the vast collection of free and premium 3D Models on Adobe Stock.   After you license your model, hover on the thumbnail for your model and click on the heart icon to Save to Library.          A notification will pop up in the right corner of your browser to confirm that the asset is being saved to your CC Libraries. You can change the default Library by clicking on "Manage" when this notification appe

 AE project that worked and was saved with no issues after re-opening seems to be damaged. Some layers are lost (shows both in AE 2024 and Beta).Is it related to Illustrator, Photoshop or Overlord plugin I don't know but posting here for devs information.

Hi, I've been testing the Blender glTF (glb) to After Effects workflow and there is a mismatch and incorrect conversion between the glTF exported file and the Blender rendered scene. (See video)With the glTF export the 50mm camera is created in After Effects with a 48.5268mm focal length that visually doesn't match the render. If this is manually changed to 50mm it matches the perspective correctly.Also the timing of the animation is wrong and there seems to be no way to alter or interpret it except by changing the Time remapping / speed which still doesn't work in my tests.https://youtu.be/vBsaSgYbqec   

All versions of the new AE are unable to deal with longer sequences of EXRs (DWAB). Tested on 22.1.1 beta too and still broken. Fails on all of our teams Windows 10 machines (20H2) 64Gb memory. Very disapointed as this is the format used by most 3D artists doing serious colour work and post. Oddly the same AE file brought into premiere to render to Proress4444 handles it just fine. Using this inside AE is impossible as it fills the RAM in the backround till the machine struggles to function. It ignores the memory prefs, dropping to half (32Gb for remaining OS) it still uses 99% memory and falls over. EXR files created in C4D with alpha. Can supply link to test project if you wish. Please fix this issue as it has caused many days of problems in our company. We have resorted back to older AE to render the job but this is poor.

I want to download After Effects 24.0 beta without creative cloud . Because when I download it with creative cloud, it gives me that I cannot download it because my cpu doesn't support AVX2, So I want to try to download it and may it ignore this issue, I want to download it because I want to use Rotobrush 3.0, Can anyone help me?

Plugin Premiere Pro Import: Unknown error. (5027::12)  After the last upgrade 24.5.0 (Build 4) now I can't import any premiere pro composition to after effects

The defined panel size in custom workspaces are not saved.  Some times it worked !!!! I do not succed to define the conditions to get it saved !!! At AE load the default MINIMUM panel size is used, not the size defined at workspace update or creation. Could you please save the defined panel size as in all other Adobe apps !!!!Many thanks

AE Beta V 24.4.0.041Mac Studio M1 Ultra - 64GB memorymacOS Ventura 13.6.6 I have been testing the new beta V24.4. With a couple of the latest releases, I have noticed my Mac is running out of memory when working in AE for a while (usually less than hour).Nothing out of ordinary - Simple few 4K layers compositing with Mocha AE masks, tracking with multiple keyframes, blur and grain FX.I am getting a low RAM memory warning too often or freezing and prompt: "Your system has run out of application memory".At this stage AE freezes and saving your work may not possible.Memory problem has never been an issue with any other AE versions. Prores 4444 original.No 3rd party plugins.OCIO color management with ACES.

Can't I use any other layer like a comp or mov or solid or shape layer as the source for envirement light? Right now it only supports .hdr layer.

Hello folks! I'm using the After Effects Beta 24.4.0 Build 40, and it's very stable to me. But like a week ago, some files that usually would open normally double clicking them, now isn't working properly.  Some files stuck loading (98%, 99%) and freezes my after effects. Different files, from different projects. And I've noticed that the same problem happen in the normal after effects version. I can open using the CMD + O option to search and open the file or trying to rename it. But I think something is going on to cause this stuff (IDK).  Thank you! 

hello, i might've found a bug that makes multiple 3rd party scripts unusable. I've found the issue with a script that lets me interpolate short clips and automatically replace them in my timeline. The script has 3 tabs of which the most important one - the settings tab - is just blank on the new beta UI. Ive got 3 pictures to make things more clear. This 1st picture shows the normal panel of the script (Ae beta 2024-03-26)A very basic script (the 2nd tab works too). This is how the script looks after clicking on the settings panel (Ae beta 2024-03-26): As you can see, its just fully blank. No respond on any clicking or anything, just empty. And this is how its supposed to look like (Ae stable 24.2.1)This settings tab has got even more stuff as you scroll down the panel.I tried out multiple different settings in my preferences but it really just doesnt seem to work. Hope this can be fixed, i love the new UI and the performance with it.   

Hey! Congratulations on Multi-Frame rendering! This is wonderful.I've been trying to use it with a project file I've been recently working on and rendering is stuck at 0%.Disabling the feature renders just fine. Trying to render a new project with some shape layers worked fine.I can share the project file in private if needed. Thanks so much for your hard work!

A   message was put up saying this problem was fixed in the nlatest release, but I just ran it   and it suddenly  upped  and forced me to save my  work before it closed down all by itself. So, not fixed I am afraid.  I havve  just downloaded the current beta to see if that misbehaves in a similar way ?

The bounding box of a 3d object is visible in the rendered video if the object is not moving.

Even when you save a copy you can't quit AE Beta.

Pretty simple one this - it would save a lot of time when exporting, as well as reduce the chances of mis-named files, at least in my workflow. I'd suggest adding a checkbox to the MOGRT export dialog with the option of 'MOGRT name from Comp Name' or similar. The benefits would be to simplify the export process, as it's easy to forget to update the comp name in a second place (the Essential Graphics panel as well as the actual Comp name). Version control is really important for some of the projects I work on, so having the output file reflect the Comp name is a high priority for me. Also, if any of the AEP to MOGRT script functionality could be added that would be super-useful (highest on the list would be export multiple MOGRTs at once - this would be especially useful when working on brand toolkits).

Plugin / Script panels buttons are glitchy a bit in the newest beta.It's like round bevels and light grey colour is enforced on the buttons.The picture below: left: AE 2024, right: AE Beta 

When you change the name of any element in the Project window (folder, file, composition, ...) it automatically slides to the very bottom of the window. This is counterproductive and requires scrolling back to the element with changed name. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or?Please see the the weird behaviour in the following video:https://streamable.com/cu2whs

Steps to reproduce:    1. After tracking with AE's native point tracker, press the grave/tilde key with mouse over the timeline panel to maximize it    2.
