Hi, I work for an arch vis company in the 2D department and there's been an alleged bug that's been driving us nuts for months now. My job involves taking starter "templates"for floorplans from our servers and authoring the plan for our online kiosks. Seemingly at random, some files just don't save back to the server. No error message, nothing in the output window, it just doesn't save, the only indication being that the "date modified" in the file explorer doesn't update to todays date. Most files seem to work OK, but having to start over on multiple plans with no indication that it isn't saving is infuriating.Is this a bug on our end? Others in my department have had the same issue, most people just watch their file explorer like a hawk to make sure they're not losing work. Updating to the newest version and even reinstalling doesn't seem to remedy this issue. We also recently revamped our servers.

Hi, Animate Community! I'm an old Flash user and back to make a project in Animate for the first time in a long while. I set up a custom workspace but don't see where I can save it, under Window>Workspaces. I just see an option to RESET to Classic, which is what I based my custom workspace off of.  Referencing the internet, I see NEW WORKSPACE is under the menu above but I don't see it on my system. I read online that there is a "workspace switcher" but I can't find it. Is this switcher just the menu, under Window>Workspaces, above?

Hi team,I dont even want to build the whole game, I would be happy to get the little triangle to thrust around and turn!  I work in education and would be more than happy to post up some tutorial material if the community here can help me out to make it work - but just to be clear of the noob level here - we need code or examples that will actually work in animate cc html5 canvas - or at least some detailed hand holding for how to get it to work in animate.I can get the stage, the triangle moveClip (even how to make the thrust frame work inside this mc)What listener do I use for the keyboard strokes?  How do I do the sin, cos triangle thing to get the direction to allow diagonal or 360 degree movement?I would really appreciate some help to make this work and I think (unless I am not looking in the right place) that there are no tutorials for player movement in html5 canvas like this.Thanks for your time and effortshave a great day

Hello, I have this very clear animation idea in mind, but I am a complete beginner and don't know where to start, any help would be appreciated! I want to animate these piano keys so that they rush in from the left side, follow the curve, and then vanish at the bottom. I have every key in a separate layer because I think that's important, but I don't know how to continue from this point on. I have access to Adobe Animate and Procreate, thank you! 

When switching the scene in the VR 360 project, this error will occur !  

I know this sounds a bit stupid but is there anyway when you resize something that the bottom doesn't move? It's interfering with some of my animations.. if not is there any way too fix it?

 please I'm having issues with Adobe animate asset warp properties tool Parnell, I'm unable to apply asset warp amature on my character because the properties tool Parnell is not available, meanwhile I can't apply amarture on my character. If I click on the asset warp tool, then click on my character, the metch will apply on my character but the amarture is not working. Please help 

When I try opening color library, the entire program crashes. Even if I put it in a closed tab with other things, but trying to open the entire tab causes it to crash. 

Hey! I've been using Animate since 2019 on my Macbook, so I know how to import audio to my library for my animation projects. However, since the Animate 2023 update back in November, I've been unable to import any types of audio to my newest project. I've tried .wav, .mp3, and any other type I've seen accepted in this application. But nothing is working. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a way to fix this?

After I added a classic tween to my character it's eyes and mouth started flying off to the side. Suggestions on how to fix this are greatly welcomed and appreciated.

ive been working on an animaiton project for the past 12 hours, while exporting the animation the app stopped working and now i cant open the file or the recover file, i tried with winrar repair but did not work , please help 😞 im using adobe animate 2023

I am trying to mask a layer with another, but for some reason it works properly in one frame and then in next it does not. The one that is not working seems to have the mask layer downscaled if compared to the original. But if I view the mask layer it is exactly the same as the original. So I have three layers. 1. mask layer, 2. layer with highlights, 3. fill layer that is the same as mask layer.                            

Hi I am very new to Animate and am having trouble with symbols that should be hidden (hide function on frame) appearing when I export. Here are some screenshots to hopefully explain it better1. Christmas clothes symbol is set to hide under frame options. (which it is doing so ) 2. this image shows the random objects appearing when they should be hidden. Am I doing something wrong by hiding and revealing the symbol in the timeline?Each symbol has its own layer and I have inserted keyframes when and where I need the symbol to either appear or disappear. I know the timing is very poor but I would love some advice on what I am doing wrong Belinda

Using an HTML canvas with Animate, looking a the first three pages (frames) the first is the home page, the second a bio page, the third is a contact me page. On all pages are three common buttons: home, previous and next. The home botton always takes you back to the home page. The actions for the previous and next buttons will change depending on what page you are on: on the home page, the previous button will take you to the home page and the next button will take you to the bio page. On the bio page, the previous button will take you to the home page and the next button will take you to the contact me page. I am using Animate CC and an HTML canvas. I have buttons that are common on all of my "pages" - home, previous and next. The home button works fine. However, the same is not true for the previous and next buttons. The code is contained within a frame named actions which is part of the timeline. In a frame towards the start of the timeline I define the actions for the previous and next buttons. What I am seeing is that on some of the "pages" when I press the next (or previous) button it is behaving as if I performed several clicks. In the code for the buttons, I have added window.alert calls to help with the debugging (one states the button was pressed, one states the current frame name, and a third displays the frame label I am going to). When I press, for example, next, I see the three alerts that I would expect. However, I then immediately see another set of alerts, as if I had pressed the next button again (but I have not). I am wrapping up a class that uses the Adobe Animate 2022 Classroom in a Book publication by Russel Chun. I sent an email to my instructor at the beginnin of the week and they have still not replied (and I probably shoud have posed here after a day of waiting for a reply). I am working on my final project which is to have an HTML canvas, with the first page being sort of an intro page. On that page are:- some text (simple enough)- three buttons: 1) a bio page, 2) a contact me page and 3) a page that lists the projects that were created during the course (I've created the buttons but not coded the actions) For the projects page, each project is to be listed with a clickable button. When the button is clicked, it is to open a new window that shows the project. My questions...1) for parts 1 - 3 (bio and contact pages), how do I replace the contents of the current page with another page? Hello,I'm not a developper and am new to Animate so be gentle. I created a simple animation in an HTML5 Canvas Doc with multiple timelines and motion tweens. I created the size based on the artwork provided to me. I'm just exporting a .gif so the animation can be shown to the client and I was asked to just make the document size bigger and square. I know I can export at a different scale and that's fine, but how do I change dimensions of the document/stage/canvas without affecting the animation itself? I locked my layers, changed the size of the stage and kept everything centered. It looks perfect but when I play the animation in the new size, all of the positioning of the objects are wrong. Things that used to stay centered now fly in from other directions. I dont want my animation to change at all - simply change the stage for presentation purposes. Possible? Or can I do it as part of an export?  Files attached for reference. Thanks!

Hello all!I would like to ask about the adobe animate symbol "generate spritesheet" feature.I have a symbol that fades from 100% opacity to 0% opacity in 10 frames.However, when I generate spritesheet, the frames are either at 0% opacity or 100% opacity.This is expected behaviour of PNG8 format.However, this behaviour is also observed when generating a PNG32 spritesheet, which is COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOUR.Does anyone know how to solve this?Note: The opacity was adjusted using the frame's Color Effects tab, where I adjusted the alpha levels.Any help would be greatly appreciated!Attached is the screenshot of where I adjust opacity, and also a spritesheet generated that is supposed to have 10 frames, each with changing opacity.Thank you

Hi, I am new to Actionscript 3. I have been learning how to code in AS3 on the go from forums on the net and from Youtube videos, so if anything I've said in this post is inappropriate as far as coding in AS3 is concerned, I apologize for the same. I am trying to create a graph as shown in the image with the inputs on the X-axis and the result on the Y-axis. I have also attached a screenshot of the inputs and resulting outputs. I have coded most of it, but I cannot figure out how to actually plot the graph corresponding to the input and resulting output values. I also want to improve the code given below for the "x" and "y" position of the text boxes (xtBox and ytBox, respectively), the horizontal and vertical markers (hLine and vLine respectively), and the "x" and "y" text labels (xLabel and yLabel, respectively). I was working on an animation in Adobe Animate CC 2023 but the program started to get really laggy, taking a long time to respond to anything I did. So I closed out of Animte and saved the file. When I tried to re-open the FLA file, the program crashed without any error message. Does anyone know how to fix this, or what I can do to prevent it in the future?
