Animate

Hey, so I was working on a little vid i've put alot of work into earlier today, saved my progress, then went out to eat with a friend. When I came back and fired up adobe animate cc, I noticed first that the list of "recently opened files" was blank. When I searched for and opened up my file, it was the same as I had left it, but all my personalised workplace setting (workspace layout, customised shortcuts, etc.) had been reset like it was a completely new program to my computer. I don't know what could have changed in only 2 hours but Its a pain the the butt to reset all my hotkeys and try to get the workspace set exactly like I had it. What went wrong, and is anyone else having this issue?

I wanted to learn how to do rig based animation and I'm still very new to how everything works in this program. I wanted to know how to get this effect where the face can be a nested animation and rotated through tweening. Here's an example with the effect im looking for.

so when i hit the play button the audio works fine but when i move along the timeline with my mouse it only plays bits and pieces of the audio. ive never had this problem before. is there any way to fix this? ive tried increasing the volume of the audio in a different program but that didnt work either

I can not find my timeline and tools! Is there a way to add them back or are they gone for good? 

Is there any way in Animate to access or use markers in an Audition audio file? I'm trying to animate a character to certain beats of a music track. The waveform is too complicated to read in the Animate timeline; markers set in Audition would be ideal, but they don't display in Animate. Please help!

I'm looking for a way to take a comp with an existing animation that's rather intense and create an animation preset that works on comps of all sizes.  Thanks to Envato Elements, I have numerous existing compositions with animations that I love. The problem is that almost all of the existing comps and animations (especially the ones that aren't text-based) use exact keyframes instead of expressions or percentages, so everything is way off when I try to transfer it over to a different element.  Here's an example of an animation I'd like to make into a preset:  Does anyone know of a simple way to take all of this craziness and create an animation preset from it that's relative to the object's size and starting position?

Hi everyone. I hope someone can help me. I'm brand new to Adobe animate and I think I've taken on a pretty laborious task for my very first animation.  I'm trying to work out the mechanics of a shadow animation. As displayed in the video, I've tried two ways of making this animation work and I just can't figure it out. Can someone point what I'm missing or what I'm doing wrong? Thanks... 

Why the browser no longer opens when testing the html canvas. Did I miss something?

I just got Adobe Animate about a month ago for school. Today, I had just started an animation when I noticed that the part of the screen where you can change the brush size and stuff was being cut off. It was like I had zoomed in, but for the entire program. I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I just saved my progress, closed the program, and then opened it again hoping that would help. But when I opended it back up, It wouldn't respond when I clicked on someting. No matter what I clicked, nothing happened. Even the exit botton didn't respond. I had to use task manager to get it to close. I tried restarting my computer but it still didn't work. I have an animation assignment due Monday, how can I fix this. 

Hello all,i have a desktop application that run some SWF Flash AS3 Animations. These animations "talk" with my applicaiton throught a txt file, so Swf display contents read from txt.in these days i'm very worried about the Flash EOL. If "everything will not work", why CC Animate allow export in SWF format? 

Hello all, can anyone give me information on how to import an APK file (which was created on Animate) into Android Studio for testing on their emulator? looking around the internet I found only bits and pieces of information which were very confusing for the most part, none was a solid start to finish instruction. can anyone help me with either instruction or provide a good link?   

Hi, I'm working on an animation in Adobe animate. I have drawn some bunting on it's own layer with just a single key frame. The bunting was drawn using shapes and hasn't been converted to an object. I've started trying to animate the bunting to make it look like it's blowing in the wind. However, the limited transformation tools in Animate mean this is very difficult. I want to take the bunting layer from the single starting frame and export it to photoshop so I can make the key frame transformations there and import those back into Animate for use in my animation. Is this possible? The tool I want to use in photoshop is the warp tool. In photoshop I can quickly select the bunting flag, including the pattern on it and click edit>transform>warp. Using this tool the transformation is so much more effective and takes no time at all. 

I need to unblur an image over time. It doesn't seem you can get it done using Animate's filter feature, so I've looked into doing it via script and CreateJS commands. I'm probably doing something wrong, but here below is a simple piece of code I've tried - it doesn't work though: the image is blurred and remains blurred, nothing is happening.  var blurFilter = new createjs.BlurFilter(5, 5, 1); this.myimage.filters = [blurFilter]; createjs.Tween.get(this.myimage.filters) .wait(150) .to({blurX:0,blurY:0}, 500, createjs.Ease.cubicInOut);  

Hi all, I have made some abstract artwork which has been hand drawn and scanned in, and I want to pick it apart and mess with it using layers and warp tool to create an animated video.  I've used Illustrate to do an image trace, so that I can convert the artwork into a vector (or at least, I think that's what I need to do, I'm still very much learning at the mo). I had to be quite heavy on colour and detail because I want it as close to life as possible.  This has meant though that when bring it into Animate and I use, for example, warp tool - the warp map is so fine that it usually crashes the program if I try to add warp handles.  I also am not entirely sure that I'm exporting the artwork from illustrator in the best way - when I try to export as bitmap, I only get the option for 1 bit on OS. I try as .png and .pdf but I really feel like I don't know what I'm doing, so I could use a bit of help just getting this set up. I can't seem to find much on

Hi there, When I try to rotate certain layers (in this case the left leg layer), sometimes it does not seem to compute. In the example below. I create a new key frame, and then select the left leg layer(graphic symbol), and rotate it. For somereason it shows the transform box in it's original position?    When I drag the timeline curson to anyother frame, the rotation of this graphic symbol appears to not have been actioned. It doesn't seem to make a difference whether I have converted into a classic tween either. The strange thing is, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  Any idea what I am doing wrong? Thanks 

When I select 2 shapes created using Merge Drawing mode, and try to access in JSFL using the code: an.outputPanel.clear();var doc = an.getDocumentDOM();an.trace("No. of selected items: " + doc.selection.length); only 1 selected.Shapes created using Object Drawing mode work fine though. Is there command in JSFL to access shapes created with Merge Drawing mode?

Hello, this issue has to do with the website rather than the program itself.I am supposed to access the second tutorial ("How to create 2D animation using Animate") shown in the image below for a class. However, it redirects to the first tutorial (Bone Tool) when it is clicked on. I also searched the internet for the Apple tutorial to see if anyone who tried it posted a link to it, but they also go to the Bone Tool tutorial. When I contacted support through the chat, I was told the tutorial I was looking for had been renamed and it was supposed to be the Bone Tool tutorial. Is this correct? Is the second tutorial no longer available? 

Hi all. I'm completely new to Adobe Animate. I'm trying to link text or a button up to an external URL. This works fine when I preview the animation in-app, but when I export it to any file type, the links don't work. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong and help me with this please? Thank you in advance ☺️  

When I animate in Adobe Animate I tend to animate in Action Script 3.0.  But just this week I can't seem to import any audio, videos, or even pictures.  I tried even in HTML5, I could import a few things, but my audio, I can't hear anything.  Is there any way to fix this so i can get back to animating, hopefully in Action Script 3.0. The photo down below is what i see when i click on the import button to either liberty and stage.

Hello, I've been using Animate for a couple weeks now and I keep running into this problem with setting my background layer. I typically do my background last and I know that I can go to "Doc" and set "Stage" Color but I like to do it by adding another layer and dropping it to the bottom of my timeline. I feel like that should do the trick but everytime I do that it makes all layers on top discolored and I have to go back through and color over it. Is there any simple way around this problem? 

When you go to File > New ... > Select AIR for IOS , the default dimesnion is set to 960 x 640 which is 1.5 . While Iphone's average dimension is 16:9 . Which is 1.7 .  So should not it be 960 x 540 ( 1.7 ) ?
