Get help using Adobe Animate and creating animations.

I am working on a thesis animation project, involving taking vector animations and translating the frames to SVG's. These frames have to be SVG's because they will then be read by a pen plotter which can only read SVG's.Basically long story short I will need a file with a stack of vectors(SVG) as layers. I am currently using After effects to animate my vectors so It would be great to figure out script or workaround that could do this from After Effects however I am open to other solutions.Any thoughts?
Just recently, I needed to convert a project using a slider from Actionscript3 to HTML5 in Adobe Animate and discovered that Animate does not <added-kglad> include a built-in slider component for HTML5 canvas projects, like they do for actionscript. If anyone is looking for a basic, functional slider component i'm including the code I used below. Note: My slider is a movie symbol to control the timeline of a movie clip/symbol. To keep it simple, I'm calling all children to the stage, except for the 'Slider' and the 'Slider Bar' which sits on seperate layer beneath the slider. The Slider moves along the x-axis and stops between 100 px and 800 px. Customize the Slider and the Slider Bar to your needs. The range (length) of the slider can be changed Actions. For my needs, I've constrained the Slider to the X-axis, but the slider can also be used along the x and y axis to offer unlimited sliding range. Not shown in the images: r
so where can i find 2D sofware for frame by frame for adobe ??? and the link
I am relatively new to Animate, starting last month and figured out the basics. I've made animations with a start button and a restart button at the end. No issues. Now I've tried making an animation without a start button but the audio doesn't play, only upon pressing the restart button. I've read online in other html forums that audio needs to be sort of initialized(?) with a click, which is why it doesn't play without some sort of reader interaction.A related question is gotoAndPlay(), which upon being used without the context of a reader click stops the animation afterwards (it moves to the frame, plays 1 frame and then stops). Again, with the context of a reader click, this issue doesn't exist. Is there a way to do both these things without the need for reader involvment?
I really hope someone at a higher-management level position at Adobe can see this (and if you work at adobe and know someone, please forward this to whom its relevant). Adobe Animate stands as a creative playground for aspiring and professional animators the world over. Certainly, compared to Toonboom or other industry level animation softwares, animate may seem limited at first, and perhaps Adobe considers instead to let it die, because whose using it? Without an overhaul rebuild from the ground up, maybe Animate will never compete with Toonboom for industry level animation. But maybe it's not supposed to. Where does Animate fit in the future of content creation? Animate began as a foundational staple for aspiring animators growing up with the internet who learned that they could create worlds and tell stories and bring characters to life - and there is so much potential with this app that to let it die is a waste without reward. It's educational value as well as indus
So, in trying to create a shortcut to drawing a thick rim around a glove (like a cartoon hand), I thought I'd creat a circle, 22 Stroke Thickness, split it down the midle and then, using the tool, be able to squash it/reshape it to correlate with the angle of the glove/hand I'm drawing. However, with either the Free, Scale, or Distort Transform Tool I get this PINCHING effect at either end of the half circle. Strangely enough, if I cut the circle at a 45° angle, only angle I've tride, select the Distort Transform Tool, and grab the upper right anchor, I can then get something close to what I want; unfortunately, I loose the diameter of the circle and thus the proper curviture of the rim. Has anyone else experienced this?Is it a Bug? Would like to hear from the experts on this phenomenon, one way or the other. Peace,ElementX
Hi,I am supposed to have vertical and horizontal scrollbars next to the Animate workspace. Unfortunately I cannot find the horizontal scroll bar. I know I can replace the or close the timeline; still no horizontal scrollbar. Thanks in advance and with kindest regards, Leo.
Hello. I'm new to Animate and I am trying to do a lesson with my high school students. I want them to be able to animate a character they created in Illustrator. I've gone through all the steps of the different layers and making each layer a symbol, but am having no luck using the asset warp tool on my character. I just get the small circle with the slash on it when i grab it and try to plant a pivot point. Anone have any insight? Thanks!!
I am trying to animate over a video and am using the Import Video option. The "Embed H.264 video in timeline" is the easiest one to work with, however when you export it, the embedded video isn't exported with it. Is there a way to fix this or another option similar to this that could work?
Converting to mp4. It worked until it didn't. Everything's been updated to latest versions. Can't get it to work for anything. From researching to try and find fixes, it looks like this has historically been an issue. I need something that works. If it's not going to, then I need to find something else. Can anyone help with either a fix or an alternative? Also, related: Does Adobe even have customer service? I'm not a professional. Just trying to make teaching materials. I don't have the time or mental energy to deal with this level of frustration for something that I was hoping would help. Thank you in advance.
Hi,I’m experiencing consistent crashes in Adobe Animate whenever I try to apply a gradient fill to a shape. The program quits immediately and shows a crash report. In some cases, after reopening, the file reverts to an older version and recent work is lost.Details:Adobe Animate version: 24.0.12macOS: Seqouia 15.6.1Happens every time I use radial or linear gradientHappens in new files and existing filesRestarting Animate does not helpI tested on another computer – same issueDisabling shading and Live Preview did not solve itThis makes gradient work impossible and is blocking my project. Is this a known bug in the current Mac version? Are there any stable workarounds or fixes? Thanks
I'm trying to update an interactive map where different text pops up (basically the place name) when a number on the map is scrolled over/hovered on. I believe I need to use coordinates in AA and create an .fla file with some JS coding. I've been trying to find a video tutorial to help me work out how to do this. Can anyone help please? I've spent hours researching this and still don't know to create this outcome.
Animate is a great software but expensive, and i dont want to pirate it. Im looking for alternatives that are similar so any suggestions?
After an automatic update, the Bezier handles of flexibones no longer work as before. All my old files look distorted. I read that the programming was changed. However, when I create a new animation, for example, a simple arm with three points, and drag the handlers, unwanted corners immediately appear wherethere were previously elegant curves. Is this a bug, or do I need towork completely differently?I installed an older version and it works again. However, I'm afraid that these older versions will eventually no longer be available. Unfortunately, this affects not only me but also my students, as I work as a lecturer.
Warum stürzt Animate jedesmal ab, wenn ich einfachste Vektoren aus Illustrator per copy und paste einfüge!Vielleicht kennt jemand das Problem und kann weiterhelfen?
Noticing in Adobe Animate 2024 that if the animation is running, you can't zoom in (not even with the zoom tools) Was not like this on 2019. Been trying to switch because of 2019's unreliable auto recovery but every single time I do I remember this small issue and it drives me up the wall. Is there a way I can fix this?
Whenever I try to open Adobe Animate, it just doesn’t work. It gets on “Loading document types,” and the program immediately closes itself. I’ve already tried replacing the DLL file, but that just caused a new problem — it gave me two error boxes, then Animate would open for a couple of seconds before crashing again. I’ve also tried resetting preferences. I really don’t want to update to a newer version, so I’m kind of stuck.

Im looking for alternatives that are similar to adobe animate, so any suggestions?
I finished a small edit on the file in Animate, saved, and closed the tab. I realized I forgot something and I tried to open from "recently opened", but the program said that my file does not exist. It disappeared from my hard drive that I'd saved it on, it was there just a few moments ago. It's not in trash, it's not anywhere on my computer, it's not in animate. I've been working on this project for over a year, it is very important to me. I don't know what to do. Please help. Is this a bug? Can I recover the file somehow? The "recover" version also disappeared.
animate is constantly crashing when copying a simple vector drawing from Illustrator ?! basic brush stroke running on macvbook pro OS15.2 - all adobe updates installed ..

I am trying to think of hacks that would take less time than manually turning on and off layer visibility of logos and then exporting separately multiple times. The versions are SVG logos. HTML5 Canvas export so index.html file and images folder. Since I do use a publish template I was thinking about a CSS div in the publish file hat includes the images that are different by version, and then manually commenting them out and doing a save as to create the different versions. But. That is still time consuming. Is there a script that could accomplish image swaps and saves without human intervention? Has anyone ever created multiple versions from one file in Animate using javascript and then exporting as multiple versions?
Okay, technically it does... but it really bugs out when I use Wintab, which is what the first scene shows. Pressure works, drawing does not work right. When my mouse moves around (changing it to Windows ink inside Adobe which you can't see because of my recording software) and it goes back to no pressure (but works properly) it's on Windows ink.Another issue is that I'm using a Gaomon tablet, and I have Windows ink disabled there, because it just straight up stops working full stop when I have Windows ink enabled there. So I'm not even sure how it's working? Considering Adobe only works when I choose Windows ink inside Adobe's preferences > drawing > tablet input > Windows ink. But I don't want to, I want pen pressure.Pen pressure works literally everywhere else. In Gaomon's testing tab, in Fire alpaca, etc. So this is an Adobe problem? I think?? Could be an easy fix, or not, idk, I'm not tech savvy. Or adobe savvy. 💀
Hi,I finished one movie - have already published it to mp4 and it's all good. I decided I wanted to add a thumbnail for the first 30 or so frames, then have it fade to the original movie. No matter WHAT I've tried, Animate will only show the thumbnail for about 1 frame, then jump to the frame. Here's what I know:Scrubbing works perfectly Timeline looks correct Frames are extended correctly No actions are running Fade technically exists (it does fade, just too fast) Playback / export still flashes ChatGPT told me that Animate does NOT necessarily render frame 1 as a duration, so I went back and put keyframes in the first 30 frames where I wanted the static image to persist. Animate still shows frame 1 and then jumps to the frame where the fade starts. I closed and reopened Animate. I tried the "Clear Publish Cache and Test Movie". I tried moving the thumbnail layer to the top instead of the bottom. None of that has helped. Now ChatGPT is tel
