Animate

I am new to Adobe Animate and was trying to see how it works. When I started to draw something it was a weird purple outline rather than just plain black. Is this supposed to happen? How do I make it so the brush is a plain black line? Thank you,Marshall

hello i need supporti am having issues with adobe animate, it loads up incredibly slowly and immediately says not responding, i recently tried to open a 150mb files and it took 2 minutes to open after being stuck on not responding, i have a good PC and its not a capability issue. i have tried to reinstall and deleted preferences (didn't work) even tried splitting up my animation to make the files sizes smaller but it still loads up incredibly slowly. i have dealt with this for months but i am currently at my witts end as the app is performing incredibly slow and I am behind on a cartoon that i am working on. any help would be much appreciated

I've converted a drawing into a grafic-symbol. Go into the symbol and draw a bone onto my layer. the drawn  layer disappears and an armature (Skelett)layer was created. Now I have no chance to make any corrections on my drawing. How can I fix that, so that drawing bones creates another layer ontop without deleting the grafic?

when im trying to make Parent Layer , it doesnt rotate with 2nd layer

Hi everyone, on Chrome mobile browser, my animation suddenly drop its fps (normal it's 30fps, but on Chrome mobile, I think it's 1-2 fps, very lagging). The thing is it's only happened to some project, and it's working fine on Chrome windows and other browsers. I have add this meta to header but it's still run slow:<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, minimum-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0, user-scalable=0, viewport-fit=cover" /> I also run these scripts but not helpful:https://helpx.adobe.com/animate/using/tip--html5-optimization.html I also change all my tweens to classic tween (before that they are motion tweens) and remove every frames that aren't need. Not helpful. My last resort would be change it to Bitmap instead of using Illustrator import. Why when I make a movie clip symbol it disappears without any reason it's just going to 0 H & WWhat is the solution?

When i'm not drawing it makes the drawings brighter, and sometimes there's white flickering when i'm playing the video or when i'm moving something. Is there any way to fix this or is it going to take time to update this?

So, I made multiple symbols inside the same one, so I can make multiple motions at the same time,  (Nesting) and I have one for rotation, vertical movement, and horizontal movement, but if I wanted to add more animation to it after, the rotation and vertical movement keep moving! I set it to play only once, and have tried everything that I can. (That I know about, I'm new to adobe animate.) so I have no idea what to do next.

Currently torn between using Animate which I'm super comfortable with, and Anime.js which lets me do similar stuff programmatically. Unfortunately in Animate, in order to export my animation I also need to add ridiculous amounts of JS and unsemantic markup to my app. The whole process is so tedious that I often just export to GIF instead. I came across https://github.com/vielhuber/adobe-animate-embed the other day which is supposed to simplify things, but it still feels a bit wrong. Enter https://animejs.com/. It allows you to do manual tween-like operations using SVG and simple/proper JS. I just can't help but think what if Animate in the future could integrate Anime.js somehow and act like a front-end to it? We would get the best of both worlds. What do you guys think?

Hi, i've been using animate regularly but what bugs me off is that the lip-sync feature, i've been a bit mad about the fact that character animator has a better lip-sync option than animate, which by the title of this discussion, it's writing a script and making the mouth talk like what's written on the script, if this is a upcoming feature or there's a plugin/extension for this, please inform me.

I opened my Flash fla file in Animate and received this message: I believe because of this one part of the animation doesn't work in Animate, the stars are there but they don't appear when I play the movie inside Animate nor when I export the file.I'm a graphic designer, I know little about programming. Hi,I need to create a simple drop down menu that when a certain option is selected it takes you to a certain frame.So for example when Location 1 is selected from the drop down menu it goes and stops at frame 21. I have "Insert Blank Keyframe" bound to F7. I've tested my Keyboard, F7 functions properly, but Adobe Animate refuses to recognize the keystroke "F7". All other Function keys are recognized as a keystroke. I'm on Adobe Animate 2023 for Windows.

Trying to copy and paste elements inside the same Adobe Animate project or between 2 projects, I could not paste anything. How do I resize the stage dimensions, without shifting it to the left? My stage is wider than the content area. All I want is to reduce the width of the stage, but keep the live area in the center (like resizing the canvas in Photoshop. Is it possible to do this?

why does it add a keyframe automaticly when i move an object on stage? this occures a lot of errors. in the earlyer versions it did't do so. where can i turn automatisms off?thanks for help

I've been using this program constantly for four years now, and only recently have I actually had to deal with corrupted files. At first I thought it may have something to do with the fact that my laptop has a terrible battery, so unplugging it immediately kills it. But this issue comes up even if I first close Animate and wait a moment to let the close process. And not only does it corrupt files, but it also resets all of my preferences which I have to adjust back every time. Keyboard shortcuts, workspace, and all. This has happened several times in the last month out of nowhere. I am using 2024 edition, and debating whether just switching back to 2023 will make any difference for now. Also as a side note sometimes transforming objects will ruin them? I always use the fluid brush, and even with lock fill turned off, transforming something made with that tool will change its color or fill the art with a different color when there wasn't one already. So my .fla file got corrupted when I closed the application. I thought it was fine as I had a recover file that didn't save anything corrupted, but it seems like Animate deleted the RECOVER file.I was wondering if there is any way to get this recover file back, as I know I can't uncorrupt the main file. 

Hi! I've been working on a webshow with a very small team of people, however I'm the only animator. Every so-often in I render an MP4 to check if animated symbols are showing properly since they don't play in previews, and that's all fine! But the problem comes in when it comes to one specific asset. On it's own in the program, the symbol looks like this: This is great to me. It looks exactly as it should and is the proper level of transparency.However, when I actually render it into a video, the symbol shows like this.At first glance it appears to have made one of my layers completely solid, but that isn't the case.It's still transparent, just much less so.Now, I'm still relatively new to Animate, I've only been using it for about 6 months, so I'm not sure if this is user error, a problem with Animate itself, or something else.If this helps at all, the symbol's layers themselves look like this:The problem layer in question is layer 5. When attempting to save a .fla file yesterday, I suddenly got a message saying that Adobe Animate was "unable to save the document as 'documentname'". It also told me to change the name or relocate the file but when I clicked out of the message, Animate closed itself and automatically deleted the file both from Recents and my computer itself. I have been unable to find it in the Trash or anywhere else on my computer and I'm questioning if it is a glitch. Nothing like this has happened to any other .fla file I worked on. (I would show a picture but I didn't have the time to take one before it closed out.)

In recently  installed Animate but now i cant reproduce the swf files. There is no longer a way to view them as before with a plug in?
