Animate

I'm making characters with the various graphics on layers and parented to each other.  (The thigh is connected to the body, for example.)  TWICE Animate has crashed, and when I've reloaded, every graphic is strangely positioned and rotated throughout the scene, every keyframe!  This is true for the recovery file AND my save file.  What is going on?!  The first time I scrapped the project and started over, but I'm desperately hoping there's an easy fix for this even though I'm pretty sure that the short answer is to just not support Animate and get some other software.

Hi,Been using animate for over a year now and experienced something very annoying just in time for my submission deadline...Animate seemingly crashed but refuses to close. I can't kill it in task manager, I can't uninstall the program since its still open and restarting my computer, even with my settings set not to reopen programs upon rebooting, it just opens back up again. There is an empty pop up in the middle of my screen with no writing. I can click roughly where it usually says 'Okay' on the pop up but it just pops back up again after half a second. Any help would be hugely appreciated.Thanks

Hi,If I activate Object Drawing while using the Brush, Line, Oval, or Rectangle tool, it creates a separate object as expected (I verify it by switching to the Selection Tool, clicking on the new object, and seeing its bounding box appear). However, when I do the same with the Pen tool, it doesn't create a separate object. The path just merges with the overlapping paths, as if I never would have selected Object Drawing. Am I missing something or is it a bug for this version?

I'm making a timeline for my website that scrolls sideways, and the text appears in boxes, but some of the boxes are not in the correct position and are also the wrong size, though this only applies to SOME of them.How it shows in animate:How it shows in the test movie:Further along it shows like this:Then like this:And finally this:But on the side of animate it all looks fine, all text fits into the text boxes

I've been trying to come up with a script to accomplish this task. I've got a script that can make an circle object move to follow the cursor. I've limited the movement from left to right, which is perfect. I've got a second script that creates a box in javascript that can mask a movie in Animate. Just can figure out how to get the two scripts to cooperate. I'm sure there is some Javascript magic that I just can't figure it out. Please help.

I am using 24.0.1 on iMac M1, 2021. But I routinely get this screen when I open a file. I can't even locate the cachce to delete. Help!  

Hello community, I've been looking around on the forum, but I haven't found anyone with a similar problem. In the past, I could simply select an object's frame in the timeline to delete it or move it using the arrow keys. If this didn't work, it was usually because I didn't have the right tool selected. So, I would press V (for the selection tool), and it would work.However, this doesn't seem to be possible anymore. Now, I have to select the object on the stage to delete it; otherwise, it doesn't work. I find this to be very annoying, especially when I want to select an object in a layer beneath another object.I hope someone has a solution. Thank you! Erik

Hello, I've been searching in this community for a while to to what I described in the title, I have a library full of icons which i gave a proper name. It would be great if I can export a batch with one click of a button. I found the following script (at the bottom of this post) which I turned into a command. Found in this topic: https://community.adobe.com/t5/animate-discussions/exporting-graphics-from-the-library/m-p/10870471I select my library items --> then click the command --> select a specific folder --> save. Then I get the message 0 image(s) exported.  Is this because the jsfl  was made for an older version? I have Samsung Galaxybook 3 pro 360 laptop.And I use Adobe Animate for my work.I tried to work at home for some reason, but I felt Adobe Animate didn't work well on my laptop. like playback didn't work as fast as it was supposed to be.  Spec is  Intel core I5-1340P 1.90GHz16GB RAMIntel Iris xe graphicsWindows 11 I installed Wacom Cintiq 16 Pro with the laptop as well.

Please can someone tell me if the HTML5 Canvas Audio Component is compatible with Animate 19.2.1.I have tried all sorts of ways to try and install it:- Directly from extensions web site- Manually using Anastasiy Extension Manager application- Manually using ZXPInstaller application- Manually using ExManCmd command line managerNothing seems to work.The zxp file seems to be more than a renamed .zip file so I can extract it manually.If someone can please help with any information on compatibility and any other methods I could use to install the extension.Thank you.

Im trying to make a character rig, and i have to keep breaking apart lines because every line i make automatically becomes a symbol! It wasnt like this when i started, and i cant find anything about how to stop it.

Hi Everyone. I'm grateful for the supportive community and their guidance. In our HS Animation 1 class, we tried a film approach where students collaborated on a story, storyboarded, and animated a scene. While they worked hard, the outcome may not have justified the time. We're pivoting to a video game project for next year to practice coding and create an interactive product, while maintaining all the story elements. Which brings me to my humble request for advice. I'm in the middle of making some characters for teacher demo's. My background is in 3D game design, so still wrapping my head around 2D flash/animate characters. Just how flat do you make everything? For example, a detail like a belt? Check image I threw together for your convenience. I'm working on a front view currently. So instead of the belt just being horizontal, I want to indicate form by making the belt a little more round. Will this just make things more complicated on the turn around models?  Is is

Good night, so when I play a scene after some changes using the Free Transformation Tool, i can see all the drawing in the selected mode, making it very difficulty to see the original drawing, I can fix it by locking the layer but it's tiring to do that every time i want to see my animation progress without going on the Test Film feature. 

So I'm currently working on an animation, and made sure to save every change I made. But for some reason everytime I open up the file, it will show everything but the recent progress I made. I didn't have this problem at first until I tried to back up my file on Google Drive sync folder. I went to move it back to my desktop since I thought that would fix it and save it as a different file but whatever it is, just ended up sticking to my adobe animate file. Is there anyway to fix it?

hello I was working on my animation last night, I put the computer into sleep mode to eat later, but later my brother unplugged the computer and when I turned the computer on again, I couldn't open the file. Can someone please help me? I worked so hard on this and I've been crying since last night and yes I tried all the methods but I still couldn't do it.

how do i effectively transition from a walking cylce loop(object) to the normal character which i can tween however i like? So i have my character with all bodyparts and i could just make a symbol called walk cycle but now i need to access the symbol to tween the whole character. should i duplicate everything and then switch? And then just paint the frames between the walk cycle and stopping? Thanks for helping out

Is there a way to render svg elements with crisp edges while still keeping anti-aliasing in adobe animate ?I created a mobile banner in html5 canvas with a small svg logo.Unfortunately the shapes of the logo aren't looking crisp.

Hi! I am working on a school project. I cannot export my animation as a video file, as for some reason Animate is not recognizing Media Encoder. This did not start happening until after I updated to the most recent update of Media Encoder. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times. Animate still does not seem to recognize Media Encoder, even while it is open. I do not know how I can fix this. It's not being caused by my computer, as it's been doing this on both my multimedia lab computer and my personal computer at home.

Hi, building an interactive animated pod on animate, everything been running smoothly till i made my buttons and used code for 'gotostop/play'  when i test movi e or try to publish , this pops up, any ideas ? updated animate and my laptop, no help. This is my final project in uni so time is valuable thanks. 

So like 2 days ago ,i delete a adobe program and after that when i was working in a project on adobe animate ,i tried to draw but i saw that my cursor doesnt appear on the canvas ,so i have to guess where the cursor and thats really annoying ,apparently this happends only with adobe cursor icons like the rotate icon cursor , but this doesnt happend with my default windows icon so idk what should i do . can someone help me? 

Whenever i hover my mouse on workspace cursor disappears.It happened randomly, i tried restarting my pc,but it didnt work,also i like to mention that when i screenshot, mouse doesnt appear, but when i record video, it appears, only in video obviously, heres the screenshots, second one is taken from a recorded video,
