Audition

Hello, I recently contacted Adobe Support about this issue, and they couldn't help me unless I let them remotely access my computer, which I am not comfortable with. I purchased a new computer last week ( Mac Mini with M1 chip 16gb ram and 2tb ssd). My old computer (a Windows Surface Laptop with 8gb ram and 256gb hard drive with about only 30gb free space handles Audition WAAAYYY better than my Mac Mini and I need help with one issue in particular. On top of the program crashing on my Mac, it won’t let me export the session file with a copy of all associated files. I contacted support and they just told me to try and use the “save all” option instead. But that is greyed out on my audition program. I have the latest version of audition and my computer is up to date. When I contacted Apple support, their only idea was for me to uninstall and reinstall Audition. I just installed Audition and recorded something and now I want to start restoring the audio. I started with DeClipper, selected a heavily clipped part and in Settings I set the gain to -2 dB. Then I press Scan and then on Repair All. The problem is that this -2 dB gain is applied to the whole file, not to the selection only. Why's that? I can manually use Amplify first to get the -2 dB gain but why not do this in one single tool if it's actually there as an option in DeClipper? When I used Audition some years ago then it worked as expected and I used it quite a lot.

Hi 🙂I'm trying to get started with Adobe Audition and in order to set everything up I need to click on "Adobe Audition CC" button but I somehow don't have it, what do I do? (I need to get to the control surface)

I am trying to fix a problem in which I had an audio source captured a couple frames out of sync into the same audio channel. This is sound from a video clip broadcast through OBS in which embedded audio and a separate audio input each recorded onto both the left and right channels, meaning I cannot find a way to separate them, nor have I found a good editing solution (dereverb and others do not address this issue). It's not quite an echo - the two audio sources are very distinct, so I was hopeful I could find a solution. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi all, Trying to save some .WAV u-LAW files as 8000hz 8 bit. However, any time I reopen the files in Audition, they show as 16 bit. This even happens if I record in 8000hz 8 bit and then save the file as 8 bit.  If I have the file open in Audition and save it as 8 bit, it will temporarily show in Audition as "8 bit" but as soon as I close the file and reopen it, it immediately shows "16 bit" again.  Please let me know if you need more info. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 

Is there a course from Adobe to become certified in Audition?

I have just updated Audition to 2022 and since then I have had a few seconds' delay while editing.  This is only a single track recording with nothing else running and it is making it impossible to edit my audiobook projects.  Is there anything I can do?   Can I reinstall 2021 that worked perfectly? Thanks

I need your help. I want to record un Audition NDI inputs from Vmix. I'm using VST3 NDI Input on Rack Effect. I see signal on Outut in Rack, but I cant rec it. Can you tell me how to do this? Tahnk you so much 

Users have been asking for this shortcut for over 10 years. When is Adobe finally going to do this upgrade?  This is a very useful shortcut.  After being a longtime LogicPro X user, not having this shortcut is a major flaw that stands out in Audition, an otherwise good software.  The shortcut allowed easy alignment of clips so that you were sure that all clips lined up at the playhead. In Audition as it stands now, you have to go through extra steps to get the same result.  It would be much easier to just right click and move the clip or clips to the playhead like in LogicPro.  It would save a lot of editing time. What's taking so long to implement this important feature upgrade?

I am having trouble with recording in Adobe Audition. There was a problem with a plugin, but supposedly now that is fixed after update, but I am still getting a fast robotic sound from my voice when I record. There are a lot of siblilance noises and distortion in my voice and I have to take time to correct a lot of clicks. It is not coming from my studio. Can someone give me some guidance on this? Or recommendations. I have an IMac computer. Someone suggested that maybe the sound from my computer might be causing the problem. I just don't want to spend a bunch of money with Apple and then find out it was one of the plugins or it was Adobe.     [Moderator note: moved to the best forum.]

Hello, I'm interested in developing plugins for Audition. Where can I find the API documentation for C++? The SDK that I found comes wiht samples for Premier. Is the Audition API built on the Premier API?

Hi! I've been using Audtion CC almost every week for about a year. Last week I noticed  a change that impacts the audio, and I can't figure out how to address it. My recoding devices  (Presonos audiobox 44SL and  Windows 10 PC) & settings haven't changed, but the spectral frequency shows that that anything over 10k  is cut off. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!!  

i jsut started the audition program. i'm still learning for my asmr channel. this video below inspired me. i wanted to mimic that for practicing. i did many thing on 'reverb section'.but i've lost my way. i can't express rich sounds and long and middle sounds like that. if you don't mind, can you give some advice as experts? https://youtu.be/gShDtRwTLXw 

Is it possible to save, export, then import on another device the workspace settings? Past posts here have not cleared this up. My impression was that Creative Cloud allows me to share workspaces between my devices, but I am not finding the documentation to do this. I just moved my workspace folder from one device to the other and still could not find my saved workspace. Do I need to take a photo of the workspace on my phone and then recreate it from scratch on each device?

I have been opening mixers recorded over the last few years and have been getting messages like this one ""Warning 9 out of 10 effects referenced by the file could not be found"" when the waves plugins stopped working under VST  I did speak to someone about it, I guess it was waves, at the time they said they did not make VST Plugins only VST 3 they certainly worked in Audition under VST, now I have many mixers with this issue it's a complete mess they will all have to be remixed with the same plugin under VST 3... does anyone one have a solution. (this doesn't happen with tape recorders) !Roger Mallison.

 Hello there, using Adobe Audition 22.0 and some actions take to long too long to be completed.For example I have a  recording of 35 seconds on one track that is chopped in 3 parts,merging these events take about 11 seconds.Loading icon , and adobe audition not responding appear for these 11 seconds. My computer is an  AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with Radeon Graphics 3.30 GHz  Ram 16,0 GB. Didnt have this problem with previous Versions.Thanks a lot 

Can you use Adobe Audition to make your voice sound like someone else's, and if you can, then how do you go about doing it? For Example, how do I make my vocal cords aka voice box, sound like the person speaking in the Audio File attached to this post?

Hello,Can anyone hear the conversation in the static of this recording? Im sinking here and really need help, not matter how much I try I cant seem to clean it up, but I am positive I hear it. Any suggestions please? And if you hear it could you let me know what you hear please?Thank you !

First off, I'm brand new to this, so I will give my best effort in explaining my two issues. 1) My playback from Audition is only coming out of my left earphone. Headphones are brand new, ATH-M30x. It was working at first out of both when I was recording some test tracks, and then when I started working, it switched to left only. Headphones work out of both sides when I play any other source, so I know it's something with my preferences in Audition.  2) My input (I think that's how it's described) is suuuper quiet. Again, it wasn't at first when I was making test tracks, but today, it dropped to really, really low decibel readings, and I have no idea how.   Thanks for the help.

Hello! This has probably been asked before but can't see anything for it.Just wondering if it is possible to purchase Audition as a one time purchase? I don't want to be paying each month for it as IMO that's just money grabbing nonsense. I love the older versions of Audition and have used them at a few workplaces previously, but would love to have the latest copy at home to use for some volunteering work I do for the local hospital radio. (Registered charity 508017 if interested).Thanks
