I have a new computer with Windows 11 and the latest version of Adobe Audition and the playback sound is muffled. Is there any way this can be fixed OR is it a Windows issue? I have updated the latest drives, but that did not help.
You should be able to hear the difference. The video speaks for itself, but what is the reason why my phone can record better audio than Adobe Audition? Earphone: Sennheiser CX 80SPhone: Samsung J7 ProLaptop: ASUS X515JFI believe it's something about my gear instead of the software because any other recording software gives more or less the same result. You can hear some noise with the mobile recording, but it gives a crispy result if I sample and delete all the noise. But this method just deteriorates the other recording. And no, I'm sure I use my earphones' mic to record instead of the laptop's built-in mic.
I was interviewing someone with a wireless mic. There was a really loud band behind us and the audio came back with a lot of distortion with the voice. Some had this crackling sound. I have uploaded the example. Please help.
Hi. In premiere Pro there is a shorcut/mode in the audio track mixer (Toggle control surface mixer mode) that allow to use the fader of my hardware control surface to adjust the gain of the individual clips in the timeline. With that option/shortcut I can switch from controling the track level with the fader to controlling the individual audio clip gain at the current playhead position. I'm actually mixing in Audition and I'm really missing this feature. Is it possible to do that in some way in audition? Controlling the clip gain via my external control surface? Thanks in advance for the cue.
I'm using Audition to convert CD tracks to wav's. I have a text file containing the filenames I want them to have, but have no clue how to format this data in a way that Audition will accept (via the "Import Markers from File" feature). Curiously, I tried exporting the default marker data to .CSV, (the only option..) thinking it might provide a template for importing and it didn't, it wouldn't recognize its output as import data, leaving me to feel that it could be anything at this point, and pretty irritated that it can't understand its own handwriting. I want to do this with a dozen or so discs, otherwise I would just, you know, manually copy and paste each track title, but I figured, 'since I have a computer.....'
I got my new X-Touch Mini today, and I have to say that I'm very disappointed with how little support Audition and Premiere Pro have for it. For instance, support is limited to Mackie Control (MC) mode, the encoder knobs are limited to panning, and the buttons to their default functions, some of which don't work. This device is relatively inexpensive and is extremely popular with Lightroom Classic users (using the midi2lr plugin). It is unfortunate that the developers couldn't invest a little bit of time to make this device awesome in Audition and Premiere Pro by creating one or more maps for it to make this and other control surfaces as useful as possible. Capture One, for instance, supports full MIDI mapping so you can easily map the controls to any function in their software.
Hi, is it possible to export an AAF from Audition?
I'm trying to make ogg file lighter by reducing the bit depth, but it seems that every time I re-open a file I've saved with the format settings specifically set to 16 bit, it says the bit depth is 32.Is this something related to .ogg itself, or is Audition unable to export it properly? Thanks!
I've been struggling trying to do multitrack editing in Audacity. I LOVE the Accusonus plugins. BUT after downloading Audition and saying, wow! This is more like it. KEYFRAMES!!!! It crashed repeatedly when I was using the pro noise remover plugin from Accusonus. Any workaround or, sigh, back to Audacity?
Can I record multitrack audio in Audition CC on a Mac and edit the project file in Auditon CC on a Windows 10 computer? Are the project files cross compatible?
I've been batch exporting 24/96 FLAC files to 16/44 FLAC and every time I do it the metadata is changed to something completely different, it's from another file altogether, and the same metadata gets saved every time no matter what I export. Same title, track number, album etc. on every track.I've tried cleaning the shared media cache database but that didn't help. I've been through the forum and settings in Audition and I'm stymied. Where could this metadata be coming from? I've done this before and didn't have this issue. Could it be something to do with a recent CC update? Thanks for any insight,Joe
I'm currently using Audition 14.I've tried reinstalling Audition and it still is grayed out.

I wonder if anyone has any opinions on this... I produce audiobooks which generally end up mastered to 192kbps mp3. By the time I've finished a project, I end up with multiple versions of my files as I move thorugh stages of editing, proofing and correction. Once a project is finished, I try to clean out any files I won't need so I can archive the project. However, being prudent, I feel I should keep the raw files, the final edited versions and the final mastered versions. Recently, I figured I could save a lot of space if I just saved everything as 320kbps mp3, which brings me to the noise-reduction question: Is it better to run noise-reduction on lossless (e.g. flac or wav) files, then save as mp3 - or will noise reduction on mp3 files be just as good? The aim of my noise-redution is to eliminate line noise (I use a dynamic mic!) while not effecting the clarity of the recorded material. In practice, the noise reduction seems perfectly fine on mp3 f
Hi there,I am working on an immersive audio project. We are using ORTF-3D microphones (8 channels). I am looking for plugins that can handle it in Audition. For now I found that Spatial Audio Designer is able to send 8 tracks in one bus where it can output binaural monitoring. Are there other plugins that works with Audition? Before buying, I would like to compare...Thanks!
How do I view the clip gain controls within a highlighted section of audio?
Recently purchased Adobe Audition CC 2019. Currently using both Adobe Audition and Garageband for recording music and vocals. Using Zoom R24 and Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 as my interfaces on both software programs.Problem: Using both an omnidirectional mic and a condenser mic. When I record a vocal track with either mic through either interface in the Garageband software, the vocals come out sharp, clear and normal sounding, no issues or problems. HOWEVER, when I do the same using Adobe Audition, the resulting vocal tracks sound somewhat distorted, not at all normal sounding. The best way to describe it is they come out sounding almost slightly doubled and as if they were recorded in a closet.Discussion: I have examined all the settings etc. that I am aware of on Adobe Audition as well as my interfaces to see if I am doing something wrong, but I can't find anything obvious.Question: Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on
I am the audio engineer in a tv/video production studio. We have been recording our audio with Audition for a while now. Lately we have been shooting shows that need to be put together in post rather than live or with minimal edits. We are hoping to be able to continue recording multitrack in Audition with timecode that is sync'd to our cameras. Can Audition do this and if so what hardware would I need? (currently recording on a Mac Pro but can switch to PC if necessary)
I found a solution to this in another thread [Error Code 61 when attempting to upload a wav file to Audition ] but it requires downloading something from a private site with a log-in and password. Does adobe provide a solution to this problem? We are trying to have someone call in to our VOIP phone system and record a brief message (quote) and then take the wav file it records and bring it into Audition or Premiere. When I do I get this error message: "Error: This file is not supported by libsndfile. Code: 61. Error in WAV/W64/RF64 file. Malformed ‘fmt’ chunk."I'm on a Mac system and the file previews for another guy in the office on a PC (unfortunatley he doesn't have access to the Adobe apps.)I can't find any other mention of this problem elsewhere.Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Hello all,I collect music videos from the 70's, 80's and 90's and remaster them to the best of my ability. I am looking at what Adobe product will do what I want in regards to replacing audio. I am presuming Adobe Audition, though I am wondering if Adobe Premiere is thew better option ? Regardless, as long as one does what I want I will be happy. In most cases, when I go to replace the older usually poor audio on the video with a newflac version, they dont match. Sometimes the original will be running faster, other times slower. So I am trying to find out how to use Audition or Premiere to do this. I have done a lot of Googling and searching, and looked at many Youtube videos but none seem to cover what I want to do. Previously I used to use an old version of Filmora that allowed me to do it, but that version will not run on my new PC.I do know from someone that he does it on Adobe Audition 3 and it involves stretching the audio file, but after a lot of trying I cant se

I have an effect on my tracks of an echo but I want the echo to stop playing after a few times but it just continues to echo and gets louder and louder even after the track is ended and the only way to stop it is to pause and start. please help.
