Audition

Hey all -In the past month or so I've started having a glitch in my audio. It's gotta be a software issue for a few reasons. First, because no matter how many times I re-record the phrase, the glitch is in the same place - it's like it can't process that one word. Also, if I play only half-second or so sections of the glitchy audio, there is no glitch. And finally, nothing looks weird in the waveform or the spectral view. I thought it was because I was accidentally saving to the Cloud, since I changed to saving locally and it stopped happening for a week. But it's back. And now it's happening in files that were previously glitch-free.  I have a 13-hour audiobook due this week and I'm at the end of my rope with this.  I went back in to listen to a chapter that's already approved, and there are 3 glitches!  I've tried saving, restarting, exporting to mp3 to see if the glitch was only in wav playback....nope. Hello! I tried the free-trial of adobe and got to license 10 audio tracks for free. Now I'm wondering whether I can use those licenses for my podcast? Couldn't find answers from licensing terms.So could anyone give me an answer? Can I use standard Adobe Audio licensed music for my podcast as intro?

I read on the forum that you cannot easily rename a file in Audition itself, since this function is an OS service. Okay, fine with me. But I really need to rename my files properly. What do I do? My situation:I have a Multisession file with a lot of different clips linked to original tracks. I marked the part in the original track and then 'send' it to the multi session. Now that I want to give the session to somebody else as an OMF, I want to clean up a little and rename the original files to proper names, so that the other person can understand what is what. Poor me, I did the whole workaround: Renaming in Finder (Mac user here) and relinking the file in my session. Which seems fine. No doublicated files which would make the session heavy when exporting. BUT the clips names have not changed a bit in the session. Its still the same mess as before. Maybe I'm missing something here. How can I rename in a proper way? BestJ

I use headphones and a mic while speaking, the problem I am having is the slight delay from what I speak into the mic and what comes into the headphones. In other words it is almost like echo but just a tenth of a second it has no effect on the recording, it works just fine but while I am speaking I get this very frustrating delay in my headphones and it makes it difficult to carry on a conversation I don't know if this makes any sence at all but I could sure use some help I have an interview scheduled and want to be able to talk to my meeting partner and have it work like talking on the phone (you know the old land line kind of thing?)  Here is the images of my settings input and output in Adobe now.

Audition 22.6.0.66 on Windows 10 Pro 21H2 Expected behavior: file with 2 stereo tracks shows 2 channels each in the Files window Actual behavior: file shows 1 stereo track with 2 channels in the Files window Noticed issue started occuring within the past 3 months. Files with multiple audio tracks, in this case a video clip with 2 stereo tracks of desktop audio and microphone audio recorded via Nvidia Shadowplay, no longer lists the second stereo track. Only the first stereo track appears in Audition. Other software such as VLC, MPV, XMedia, and Audacity properly detect the second stereo track. Never occured before.

Hello! One of the features I really like about Audition is being able to adjust effects and hear how it sounds instantly. This is key for things like notch parametric equalizing (or just parametric equalizing in general) and a ton of other effects. However, as of today there is a significant delay now (2-5 seconds) in the effect being applied while playback is going. I am not sure what changed. I didn't do any updates or run any new programs. Any help in fixing this would be lovely!

How do I move a sequence from Premiere Pro to Audtion for DeClipping? Things I have done: Open project in  Premiere Pro, edit, edit in Audtion, Sequence, select Entire Sequence, Send through Dynamic Link, OK.  When I open in Audition, Diagnostics and DeClipper is highlighted. However, presets, and scan are greyed out, and I am not able to click on anything. Thanks in advance, I'm new at editing.  

I have Creative Coloud and Audition is included but can not use it.I want a refund since thsi is not working.Anyone else have trouble with opening up Adobe products these days from the Creative Cloud app?

I changed the settings in Edit - Preferences - Audio Hardware, and in Edit - Preferences - Audio Channel Mapping to ensure that System Default - Sterio Mix (Realtek Audio) is the default input, and that it is the default input in Audio Channel Mapping. Yet, when I try to record system sound, nothing appears on the timeline. By contrast, when I change the settings to my mic, I am able to record my voice. I've watched the tutorials bu haven't yet found my exact situation. Hello, I am experiencing an issue when I playback audio that I've recorded in Adobe Audition.  I was attempting to record my podcast and I'm so glad that I did a test clip first before I recorded a 30-60 minute file.  I played back my audio and it is like it's playing 2x or 3x faster than I recorded. I have searched all over the community here and tried fixing the playback settings, audio hardware settings, and so far nothing has worked.  I'm pretty unhappy at the moment and on the verge of cancelling my subscription if something doesn't work. I have recorded several podcasts with this exact setup and I have never experienced this before.  Audition is updated to the current version (as of 9/11/2022), my PC is updated, all the drivers are updated, I have a USB condenser microphone that records in stereo 2 channel 24-bit (studio-quality), and I set my recording settings to match the microphone.  It is a plug and play microphone and I have never not

Hi. In Pro Tools, I've seen you can do a short cut to automatically put in fade-ins and outs on a given clip. It was set to 1 frame specifically. Is there a shortcut to do this in Audition? Thanks in advance.

Here is my setup: the latest version of Adobe CC/Audition on a Mac Mini M1 - 16GB Ram/1 TB HD. I also have a Rodecaster connected along with 3 microphones (Shure SM-78, with a inline preamp). I am using the Template created via Rodecaster's suggestion to run 8 channels. 13 GB Ram dedicated to Audition The Problem: I've had this on several machines now (more or less the same set up). Randomly the recording coming in from any one of the mics has a stutter. As in words, sounds, and as much as a phrase gets randomly repeated. I've attached an audio sample.  What I've Done: I've cleared the cache in Audition and restarted the computer/rodecaster. I am not out of options as to why this is happening and what can be done about it.  I am happy to answer more questions about set up. 

Hi!I'll explain my problem. A dear friend is going through a rough time with a toxic relationship, and to help cope with it he is drinking too much. Sometimes we send encouraging messages to each other over whatsapp, but he has a hard time doing so, cause his wife doesn't want him to talk to friends and she gets mad at him if she sees him texting. Right now he is in a very low self-steem mode and sometimes he says that perhaps all this he is enduring is just a test he needs to pass to get stronger (and so, doesn't dare to do anything to change the situation).Some days ago he send me in the middle of the night a quite long audio recording, 8 minutes. He was using the headphone's mic, and it seems something was off, cause the file is flooded with a constant noise and his voice is so thin I can barely distinguish it. The sound skips during playback.The problem is this: I’m playing a track, after a couple of seconds the sound disappears, but the track is still playing.The sound appears again if you pause and play again. What to do?

hello i made a new multitrack sesx file from my 'main' sesx file in order to mix more easily and then i copied and pasted mixed files from that session back into the main multitrack sesx file but the reverb and compression and other effects i had applied aren't present in the main multitrack sesx.plus, when i click on the pasted files i don't see the effects in the effects rack.if there is a solution i would be grateful to learn how to do it.thank you!

hellodoes anyone know how to change 'mix' in multitrack editor panel to 'master'?i think when i started this project i may have chosen 'mix' thinking that made sense since i was mixing tracks.but now i don't have a master track.thank you for any insights!

Hello,This might sound like an odd question.I produce a three-hour classical music show for a local radio station.I use the multitrack editor, and on one of the tracks, I record the intro and back announce to each song.I drag my music in as needed and then drag the audio I have recorded into the editing section.Is there a way Audition can keep track of the files I have dragged over to the multitrack? Perhaps with a small asterisk or a colour change?I hope that makes sense.Thanks!!

Gleich vorweg: "Normalisieren" hat nichts gebracht! Problem: Das Mikro hatte beim Aufnehmen immer wieder Aussetzer. Beispiel: 5 Sekunden alles super, 2 Sekunden kaum ein Ton, 10 Sek alles super, 1 Sekunde kaum ein Ton (Amplitude bei weniger als 10 Prozent)... Die ganze Audiodatei hat eine Länge von einer Stunde. Ein manuelles "Hochstellen" der mangelnden Audio-Sekunden wäre eine Arbeit für Tage.Gibt es eine andere Möglichkeit (außer "Normalisieren", was ich natürlich schon probiert habe)? Danke an alle, die mir dabei helfen können, die Katastrophe abzuwenden!

Hi Guys Very new to audition, primarily use Premire Pro and occasional tools in audition, i have recently shot at an event for 10 athletes and am doing ten short event highlight videos individually for each one. In reGARDS to soundtracks, is their any way to easily manipulate a song to slightly alter/ remix it. To save myself having to find ten different tracks could i potentially find one and alter it to use it on a different video? Thanks J

I can't think of a worse problem for an audio program to have, but here we are.  22.4.0.49It said it was converting to 48khz since that was my audio output setting.  I changed that to 44khz.  No change, no play. You know what, don't even bother to reply to this.  I'm not even looking for a solution at this point, because I've lost all faith in Adobe.  You suck, you've sucked for a couple of decades, and you'll probably continue to suck long after I'm dead.  I just wanted you to know how much you suck.  

Since the CC 2014 launch, the option in in Premiere Pro and After Effects to "edit in Audition" is greyed out. Right-clicking a clip in Premiere Pro doesn't have an option for Audition. I cannot send my compositions, sequences or clips to Audition for audio editing. I contacted an Adobe Support personnel earlier this evening. They suggested to go into my Mac's System Preferences and enable a root user, log out of my account, log into the root user, shut down and boot up into safe mode. None of these scenarios worked. It is still greyed out, in both user accounts.Is this a known issue? I even uninstalled and reinstalled Audition. Still nothing. All my Adobe apps are updated. My Mac is updated. Again, never had this issue before. I'd appreciate any assistance! Thank you!Cheers, Evan Lockhart

I have other recording software such as obs that record without issue, Unfortunatly im running into an issue in audition where the audio is way faster than it should be, and it echos .I have a mono microphone , and everything in audition has been reset to factory settings a few times but the problem is still present.Ive done some searching around and cant realy find any solutions. Anyone on here have any idea what im doing wrong here?Youtube Link to Problem
