Audition

I have a bunch of different templates I use for podcast editing. I've started using Descript before editing in Audition. What Descript allows you to do is export edited audio into a .sesx multitrack file - something that is very helpful. But what I want to do is after this .sesx file has been created, I want to apply one of my podcast templates to the multitrack (which would include tracks with Plugin presets, additional audio files + placement within the timeline, etc).Is this possible? Or can I only set a template before the multitrack session has been created? If it is not possible, can I merge a previous session into a new session? I want to keep the memory of all the edits that were made to the tracks via descript so i can undo when neccessary.

Hello I am in the habit of working in premiere, and I think I might not totally understanding the linking and file structure of audition, so keep that in mind when reading this post. I have been working on a series of radioplays for a 4 episode animated series. I recorded all of the VO in Audition.  I am in the habit of saving versions of everything. This means that the file I used to record all of the V.O, I then did "Save as" to make a copy, and turned that session file into the first radioplay. As I kept iterating on the radioplays, I would save subsequent copies of the same file (Ep01_v01... Ep01_v02... etc). I did this all in one folder called "Project files." So, episodes 1, 2, 3 and 4 and all of their different iterations live in the same folder, as do their session folders. Everything was working fine for the last 3 weeks. Many of us wish Audition had a built-in sequencer. Many would just be happy with something like Rewire, so we can work Audition in tandem with an external sequencer. So many wishes.  I use Studio One as a sequencer, mix down stems, import them to Audition, then manipulate and mix in there. Everytime I make a change or addition to the sequence, I repeat the process over and over. It's tedious and terrible. But it's all I've got if I want to use Audition and a sequencer for writing music. What do you all do? What's your work around? There's got to be a better way!

I find I do this sort of cut - fade in/out quite often. Is there anyway to automate this to save me from having to do it manually ?

I have uninstalled all adobe products including CC now and reinstalled to a fresh hard drive as I have 4 ssd on this pc. Audition, premier and media encoder will not open at all. I click the open tab and simply nothing happens at all, not thinking etc its like the open button is dead even though it ticks when you click on it. Tried starting from start menu as well. Im at a loss at this point any help would be amazing! VersionsAudition-22.0all other apps are updated to current. Thank you!

I use Audition as my Premiere editor. I think, my audition can not using my CPU power optimally.Applying noise reduction and hard limiter in effect rack is really slowly. It just used 12% of my cpu.This will be problem if i'm on hurry situation.Is it normal?I think audion should use maximal power of my cpu so it can work much faster. ThanksPreview :

Hello all, is it possible to generate a tone on multipled marked items in a given timeline at the sametime? In other words, If I have 20 marked items in a given audio track can I generate a tone for each of the items at the same time rather then selecting each marked item individually and then applying a tone. If so, could you please provide the steps on how to do so? Thanks

Hi,  So I know that a crossfade can be easily added by dragging a file to overlap the other file on the same track...But I was curious if there is an easier way to crossfade two files that are on separate tracks in the same session? I want to keep my Characters checkerboarded to their own specific Dialogue tracks, but still be able to crossfade without having to manually draw a crossfade at every exchange of dialogue? Hope this is possible? Thanks so much. Hello, everybody!I hope someone can help.I'm recording with Zoom H4N, and almost every syllable in my timeline in Adobe Audition looks and sounds like there are three of them in a row (please see the attached screenshot). I don't think it is the Audition's bug. But I can't understand what's causing it.How do you think what might be the problem? Is it the Zoom settings? Or my pronunciation?The thing is, my voice sounds too "explosive" because of this. How could I fix this?Thanks in advance.

Audition 2021, PC, Waves 13 So yesterday (Fri 12.3) I started work on a program using a session file pre-loaded with all my effects.  I use this session file on a weekly basis.  Everything was fine; all Waves plugins were present, accounted for and working.  As I was waiting for a producer to get me a couple of audio files I needed to complete the program, I saved the session and closed Audition. Today (Sat 12.4) I received the files I needed, so I reopened the session.  I'm presented with the following message: "Warning: 5 of the 8 effects referenced by the file could not be found: CLA-2A Stereo, REQ 4 Stereo, NS1 Stereo, Dorrough Stereo, WLM Meter Stereo." Nothing I've tried will allow the session to recognize the Waves plugins.  I've done oodles of plugin rescans, among other things.  I'm looking for a solution to this dilemma.   Thanks. 

Hello, I recently contacted Adobe Support about this issue, and they couldn't help me unless I let them remotely access my computer, which I am not comfortable with. I purchased a new computer last week ( Mac Mini with M1 chip 16gb ram and 2tb ssd). My old computer (a Windows Surface Laptop with 8gb ram and 256gb hard drive with about only 30gb free space handles Audition WAAAYYY better than my Mac Mini and I need help with one issue in particular. On top of the program crashing on my Mac, it won’t let me export the session file with a copy of all associated files. I contacted support and they just told me to try and use the “save all” option instead. But that is greyed out on my audition program. I have the latest version of audition and my computer is up to date. When I contacted Apple support, their only idea was for me to uninstall and reinstall Audition. I am going to give that at try. When I hit “save” after using the pathway Export > Session and all associ

I just installed Audition and recorded something and now I want to start restoring the audio. I started with DeClipper, selected a heavily clipped part and in Settings I set the gain to -2 dB. Then I press Scan and then on Repair All. The problem is that this -2 dB gain is applied to the whole file, not to the selection only. Why's that? I can manually use Amplify first to get the -2 dB gain but why not do this in one single tool if it's actually there as an option in DeClipper? When I used Audition some years ago then it worked as expected and I used it quite a lot.

Hi 🙂I'm trying to get started with Adobe Audition and in order to set everything up I need to click on "Adobe Audition CC" button but I somehow don't have it, what do I do? (I need to get to the control surface)

I am trying to fix a problem in which I had an audio source captured a couple frames out of sync into the same audio channel. This is sound from a video clip broadcast through OBS in which embedded audio and a separate audio input each recorded onto both the left and right channels, meaning I cannot find a way to separate them, nor have I found a good editing solution (dereverb and others do not address this issue). It's not quite an echo - the two audio sources are very distinct, so I was hopeful I could find a solution. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi all, Trying to save some .WAV u-LAW files as 8000hz 8 bit. However, any time I reopen the files in Audition, they show as 16 bit. This even happens if I record in 8000hz 8 bit and then save the file as 8 bit.  If I have the file open in Audition and save it as 8 bit, it will temporarily show in Audition as "8 bit" but as soon as I close the file and reopen it, it immediately shows "16 bit" again.  Please let me know if you need more info. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 

Is there a course from Adobe to become certified in Audition?

I have just updated Audition to 2022 and since then I have had a few seconds' delay while editing.  This is only a single track recording with nothing else running and it is making it impossible to edit my audiobook projects.  Is there anything I can do?   Can I reinstall 2021 that worked perfectly? Thanks

I need your help. I want to record un Audition NDI inputs from Vmix. I'm using VST3 NDI Input on Rack Effect. I see signal on Outut in Rack, but I cant rec it. Can you tell me how to do this? Tahnk you so much 

Users have been asking for this shortcut for over 10 years. When is Adobe finally going to do this upgrade?  This is a very useful shortcut.  After being a longtime LogicPro X user, not having this shortcut is a major flaw that stands out in Audition, an otherwise good software.  The shortcut allowed easy alignment of clips so that you were sure that all clips lined up at the playhead. In Audition as it stands now, you have to go through extra steps to get the same result.  It would be much easier to just right click and move the clip or clips to the playhead like in LogicPro.  It would save a lot of editing time. What's taking so long to implement this important feature upgrade?

I am having trouble with recording in Adobe Audition. There was a problem with a plugin, but supposedly now that is fixed after update, but I am still getting a fast robotic sound from my voice when I record. There are a lot of siblilance noises and distortion in my voice and I have to take time to correct a lot of clicks. It is not coming from my studio. Can someone give me some guidance on this? Or recommendations. I have an IMac computer. Someone suggested that maybe the sound from my computer might be causing the problem. I just don't want to spend a bunch of money with Apple and then find out it was one of the plugins or it was Adobe.     [Moderator note: moved to the best forum.]

Hello, I'm interested in developing plugins for Audition. Where can I find the API documentation for C++? The SDK that I found comes wiht samples for Premier. Is the Audition API built on the Premier API?
