Audition

I've been searching and haven't found a explanation to this. I sort of get the general gist of it, but I'd like to get a clearer understanding. Noise Reduction (process), Sound Removal (process), Adaptive Noise Reduction, and DeNoise. What is the difference between them, and what scenarios call for each of them? Thank you!

i purchased my m-audio 192/4 interface and downloaded drivers.  audition recognizes everything..i have everything set to default..buffer at 512..sample rate at 44100..when i hit record sometimes i get lucky but sound just stops mid recording and then doesnt work at all..ive tried adjusting what i listed above..again itll work for a take or two and wham NOTHING..sometimes it doesnt work at all..ive switched back and forth between monitor and two way minitor speakers...same issue...frustrated..i can usually figure stuff out but i know when to ask for help...help

I am creating an audio book. I have all the tracks voiced. However, before laying them down, I am wondering how to separate them so if someone is listening to it, they can pick up at various points, either at a Chapter or in parts within the chapter - I could create bookmarks or sub-chapters. Similar to how you might see a book on cd look, where you can choose a section you last left off at. I downloaded an audiobook once where there was no markers for where a person could pick up from, it was an awful way to experience an audio book.

I continue to get an error message when trying to use my l-12 zoom trak with audition.  It was working fine 12 hours ago but not it continues to say device cannot be opened. I have checked all drivers, reset the computer, updated all programs, reset all settings, granted access to the mic and still nothing works  

Hi. I'm working on a short film project and I edit in Premiere CS6. Now there's this noise from a fan in all of the clips and I want to get rid of it and I know how to do it with a single clip in Audition, but that would take forever to do with the whole sequence. And I don't want to use Adaptive noise reduction where you can't capture noise prints. So is there a faster way to use noise reduction for a whole sequence in Audition? Maybe add noise reduction in the multitrack or something? Please help me!

I understand that Creative Cloud keeps subscribers' apps up-to-date, but is it normal that Audition 2021 was just now installed but Audition 2020 remains? Wouldn't a new app version replace the older version? How do other subscribers handle this?

Hey Everyone! I am trying to export a project from audition to my desktop and it is not allowing me to. Even if I try to select one clip it won't download to my desktop. Also the option to export it to premiere pro is greyed out...  I tried exporting it by doing file>export>multi mixdown>time selection> ... BUT when it exports I cannot hear anything. Nothing is muted or on "solo" so that's not the problem.  Not sure what to do. Any help would be great! 

Why am I hearing myself through my computer?And how do I turn it off!

Recently I've been trying to make somewhat of a youtube intro just for fun, and maybe even for starting my own channel, and i already have a song and a render that i made in after effects. All i need to do now is to fade the audio in and out. I wanted to have it so that the music started at 100% bass, and then gradually fade to full audio range. Is this possible? If so, thanks. Having a bit of an issue with Audition 13.0.13.46 on Mac I had assigned the keyboard shortcut of 2 to insert silence, this as worked flawlessly for months.Then for some reason it stopped working. Here's what I've tried to do to fix it:Assigned other shortcuts to the key "2" - these work fine.Tried to assign different keys to apply silence - nope nothing.Tried other keyboards - nope nothing.Tried changing the language of the keyboard - nope that doesn't work either.I've even tried to delete the custom XML file that doesn't work either.I've done no updates and I've restarted my machine and Audition countless times. Does any one have any advice on what the issue could be? 

I've been using the roundtrip workflow for editing audio from Premiere in Audition and sending back. The problem I'm having is when I try to send the multi track mixdown back to Premiere it trys to open the Beta version of Premiere which I have also installed on my Machine. I could delete Beta but have found it useful to do the speech to text translate (may not need now that 15.00 has been released)Is there a way of setting which version it opens in?I would have thought by default it would always be the released version. I'm using Windows 10 OS

Hi I have been looking at tutorials online but have yet to find one that talks about how to fix high pitched noises. I do not know how to explain it, but there is this weird fuzzy noise and this weird noise that continues after dialogue is finished.  I also have tried to get rid of the echo but nothing has worked so far. Please help me!!!

Does anyone know of a way to add Nyquist plug-in to Audition?  You can to Audacity, but I no longer like using Audacity, but there are one or wo Nyquist plug-ins that I'd like to use in Audition, however, when I try to add them via the Audio Plug-in Manager in Audition, it simply won't find them. Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheryl Clark

Good Morning,  When I'm trying to mixdown to file the " entire session" tab isn't highlighted. Is there anyway I can mixdown my file to save what I created?

I was recently trying to edit some audio in the spectral frequency display but when I proccessed even if I waited for it to render it always appeared blocky. Is there a way to fix this? I'd really rather not compress this as to loose audio quality, but I'm open to any other solution. Thanks for the help! 

Hi allI have CC2021, 2020, 2019 and CS6 on a Win 10 pro build 19041.867 (which I believe is the latest).The OS is set to use 2019 by default.  Up till a few weeks ago all 4 versions happily coexisted, and I could open a sesx file from file explorer and Audition would open and load the session.Then something changed (probably bl***y Microsoft) and now I can only open a sesx file from within an opened 2021, 2020 or 2019 instance.If I use "open as" from the explorer menu I can open the sesx only in CS6, the other 3 just open Audition ready for me to then open a sesx file.Everything else is fine, all 4 versions behave as they should.Obviously I have checked file associations etc and I am quite happy working in the registry.My guess is that M$ have changed something and in their usual arrogant fashion decided not to tell the great unwashed.Anybody had experience of this?  Its not life threatening, just frustrating.ThanksAnne

Hi! In the past (Audition 1.5-3.0), the Windows-versions of Audition needed a soundcard that supported ASIO if you wanted to playback something other than mono or stereo sound, e.g. in this scenario:The "normal stereo-music" should be played back via the soundcard's channels 1+2The "special F/X"-sounds should be played back via a separate speaker connected to the soundcard's channel 3.Is this still true for the current Windows-10-versions? Thanks,Jörg

I'm having an issue with my exporting process in Audition, Everytime I attempt to export my mixdown, I can only here one or none of my sounds from my mixdown once exported for playback.

All of a sudden AA stopped being able to record.  We are running Windows 10, and I am guessing it did an update last time and changed some setting. Hey everyone, There's this weird artifact being detected by another program (Sound Analysis Pro) in any files that have their amplitude edited by Audition.It doesn't happen if I mute or cut parts of a track out, only when I Match Loudness or adjust the amplitude manually. Is there some kind of header/footer being added to the file that this other program isnt distinguishing?How can I prevent this?Including pictures of the same track in Audition and SAP. Thanks for your help!

I'm finally starting to upgrade from Audition 3.0 to CS2020 but have hit a snag. I've always used my Waves V5.0 with Audition 3.0 but no matter what I do, I can't get any of the plug-ins to show up in finder. I've tried navigating directly to the install folder but no luck. Anyone have any success using an older version of Waves with the newer versions of Audition?

Hello!No problems with Audition on the cloud until today. I am working on Windows 10 PC, core i5, 32GB RAM. The only changes that have occurred was that I closed down everything today and restarted my computer, and had to install a two factor authentication for Microsoft products. Now I am receiving the following error:The error occurs after working in Audition for a few moments. It has shown up in various places, while working in the multi-track editor and while working in the spectral display cleaning up audio.I've gone into the file path listed and physically deleted all the "test..." files that it says it can't delete, but that doesn't seem to do anything since it just creates new ones every time I reopen audition. Any help would be beyond appreciated!
