Audition

Running AA 13.0.11.38 under Win 10, 2004. I have met this "annoyance/bug" several times recently and wanted to post about it, primarily to discover whether anyone else is seeing the same thing, whether it can be "corrected" or whether it is simply down to user-error. Working in Multitrack mode, various clips on different tracks, some effects applied, via the Effects Rack, either to individual clips or sometimes to whole tracks.  Saving and closing the session, no problem.  However, on re-opening the session, perhaps some days later, all effects still listed in the Effects Rack but the rack's input and output meters show no activity during playback.  The effects are being applied (clicking on the bypass button on any single effect or the whole rack the "change" is clealry audible) but the meters do not move.  Sometimes, clicking on the Effect name in the rack will "wake up" the meters; other times they only activate if at least one of the selected

Is there a way to do a bulk-track action (eg. insert silence, or "split all clips under playhead"), but not affect one of the tracks? Eg. if I have multiple tracks with voice, and one track with music. I might want to split and move the voice tracks, but leave the music track alone.

Any ideas on what could be causing this? I can hear the sound in the beginning but it suddenly disappears (where the spectral frequencies end). How can you have a waveform but no spectral frequencies?

Hey there,Is there a way to name a clip that's been split? Like creating sub-clips out of the two new clips for example after using the razor tool?Thanks,Tari

Wondering why if you apply a High Pass Filter (preset or manual) in the parametric EQ does it raise the volume of the frequencies beyond the frequency that is set for the high pass. This happens everytime I apply this sort of filter in parametric EQ...but if I apply the same settings in the 30-band EQ...it does not happen.  I do not have any sort of output gain increase set up in the parametric (it is set to the baseline). Shouldn't the HP filter only lower the volume of the frequency that falls below the setting?  Why is is affecting any frequency above the set HP filter? Thanx,David O.

I am trying to record a simple Match Loudness function as a Favorite. I had it saved previously as a Favorite so I know it can be done, but my Favorites got wiped out in the last update. Now, when I try to record a Match Loudness as a Favorite, I receive the following message, "A new favorite could not be created because no supported actions were recorded."  I was able to recreate all other Favorites except this one. Any thoughts?

I am using Adobe Audition 3.0.  Is Speech Volume Leveler available in 3.0 (I can't find it), and if not is there a plugin or a way to create a preset that does the same thing? Thank you for your help.JG

This is my personal problem and to many of you it sounds quite simple but it makes me mad: In Multitrack after seperating a clip, the two pieces are selected. In Audition 3.0 it is the opposite: After making a cut, the two pieces are automaticly deselected. Is there the possibility to change this in CC? Thx!

can i use audition sofware during recorning on two computers at one time from two audio inputs on monthly subscription on audition. or do i need  to log out and use one only please advice 

I can't find the trrack information box - it used to be a right click but, no longer. Mind you that was some time ago. Anyone help please ?

Hi, So I have a new laptop and I have some trouble recording audio from my laptop. With this I mean the function when the input is stereo. It works when I put the sound on, but once I put on my headphones (which is preferably), it doesn't record. Anyone else had this problem and how to solve it? Cao,Marjolein

I'll be using Adobe Audition CS6. I need to create hundreds of tiny audio clips i.e. word pronunciations. I'd like Audition to name them something like d13,041.mp3, d13,042.mp3, d13,043.mp3. etc. Any suggestions on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.Thanks, 

I want to slide an audio clip to the left or right without clicking and dragging.  Is there a way to use the keyboard to do this?

Hi I am trying to create an audio file for public safety and guidance messages that can be played on a loop over a PA/Tannoy system. I have 4 audio clips of messages that need to be on the track and they need to be spaced 10 minutes apart with silence inbetween. The clips are only about 20 seconds long each. I assume I would use multitrack, which I am trying, and I know how to add the clips and import the clips and position them however I'm unable change the overall duration of the track as I would need it to be 40 minutes long. The overall length is showing as just 50 seconds, how do I make it longer?

Hi-Wondering if anybody can direct me on how find my saved sessions on Adobe Audition? I believe there is a storage area with Adobe, but I can't find it. 

Can Audition tell me a tracks BPM? If so, where would it be displayed? 

Hi! I have just finished some simple recording in audition, and the program appears to be running normally, but it will not let me export or even save my session, those options are greyed out in the menus (as demonstrated by the screenshot.). Can anyone help?

i am tyring to upload files into audition. However eveytime i press import the files are nowhere to be seen despite being available on my one drive and my desktop.

FriendsI have a multi built with two voice audio tracks (the result of a Zoom remote interview).  I would like to be able to edit the tracks simultaneously, removing silent space in the conversation for example, and keeping the tracks synchronized in time.  I know how to edit each one’s source file, now I want to finish the editing.  Is there a way to combine the two easily into one?  Or select sections to delete from both tracks at once?  I am having trouble finding this using searches.  Thank you!David

Hey All,  I'm trying to output dialogue in an audio track to a bus track but I can't select the input and outputs they're greyed out if that makes sense. I can't click on it with my cursor. 

Hello, I recently discovered that my computer is overworked during recording. My podcast grew faster than I expected and I believe the CPU of my computer cannot keep up. I recently recorded an episode with three XLR microphones into an audio interface/mixer (Focusrite i818) and into audition. The audio seems to be choppy with speeds slowing up and slowing down.  This happens both in the multitrack view and in the single isolated waveform. Does anyone know if I can somehow fix the audio? I have attached a sample of what is happening.  Thank you, Nick  

I can import an .MP4 file and it shows up fine as if imported properly, but when I hit the play arrow, nothing happens.  Yesterday I ran the latest update for Adobe Audition and it worked during a test of a small file.Today when I import a larger .MP4 file, it looks like it imports fine, but the play button is froze again.Anyone have ideas on this?Bev Marten

My pc crashed tonight while I was working on a multitrack session. I've apparently lost two hours of progress despite autosaves and backup saves. Upon opening a back up, the prompts say: And there was a second prompt I apparently can no longer replicate where it shows the files needing to be linked. The link media button was grayed out.Most importantly, where the files must be layed out in the session including markers, crossfades, volume levels are gone past a certain point. How do I restore the session?
