Audition

Can Audition tell me a tracks BPM? If so, where would it be displayed? 

Hi! I have just finished some simple recording in audition, and the program appears to be running normally, but it will not let me export or even save my session, those options are greyed out in the menus (as demonstrated by the screenshot.). Can anyone help?

i am tyring to upload files into audition. However eveytime i press import the files are nowhere to be seen despite being available on my one drive and my desktop.

FriendsI have a multi built with two voice audio tracks (the result of a Zoom remote interview).  I would like to be able to edit the tracks simultaneously, removing silent space in the conversation for example, and keeping the tracks synchronized in time.  I know how to edit each one’s source file, now I want to finish the editing.  Is there a way to combine the two easily into one?  Or select sections to delete from both tracks at once?  I am having trouble finding this using searches.  Thank you!David

Hey All,  I'm trying to output dialogue in an audio track to a bus track but I can't select the input and outputs they're greyed out if that makes sense. I can't click on it with my cursor. 

Hello, I recently discovered that my computer is overworked during recording. My podcast grew faster than I expected and I believe the CPU of my computer cannot keep up. I recently recorded an episode with three XLR microphones into an audio interface/mixer (Focusrite i818) and into audition. The audio seems to be choppy with speeds slowing up and slowing down.  This happens both in the multitrack view and in the single isolated waveform. Does anyone know if I can somehow fix the audio? I can import an .MP4 file and it shows up fine as if imported properly, but when I hit the play arrow, nothing happens.  Yesterday I ran the latest update for Adobe Audition and it worked during a test of a small file.Today when I import a larger .MP4 file, it looks like it imports fine, but the play button is froze again.Anyone have ideas on this?Bev Marten

My pc crashed tonight while I was working on a multitrack session. I've apparently lost two hours of progress despite autosaves and backup saves. Upon opening a back up, the prompts say: And there was a second prompt I apparently can no longer replicate where it shows the files needing to be linked. The link media button was grayed out.Most importantly, where the files must be layed out in the session including markers, crossfades, volume levels are gone past a certain point. How do I restore the session?

Hi there, in my on going project I have to do a lot of copy past action.The problem is after pasting some sound to the audio file I want to move on to listening end editing but the selection stays there and I have to unselect it with my mouse by clicking somewhere else. If there is a way to solve that small issue that would be a life saver to me. Thanks in advance. 

Hi, I'm trying to clean up some audio before editing it further, but any time I get the sound profile and then apply it to the whole file, it flattens the entire audio to nothing.I can do this process in audacity fine but wanted to start using audtion more. Please tell me I'm just clicking the wrong box somewhere along the line....Thanks HG

Hi,from time to time in CS6 and since maybe 1,5 years in the latest CC version of Audition (Win10) I have problems with the sound device/settings. I imported a wav file created with an Android handy.Problem of/in Audition: it plays the file in double speed (and displays this length of this short recording): I was not able to fix it by trying out different settings for my sound device. Formerly in some unspecific cases I was not able to play a file – or no sound appears. Therefore some weeks ago I tried the ASIO driver which I had to install.But in my actual case, the "double speed playback", I did not find a solution – just a workaround: I exported the file in Audacity as WAV again – trying to find the same settings as the Original file: Result: see the small, but maybe decisive differences between the two files in my first screenshot (first file: original, second file: see its file name...).Only now I am able (or Audition is able...) to edit the file. Any idea for

Hi I have been assembling a podcast, with 8 tracks, including a heavily-edited interview, some rather clever sound effects and music segues.  We just laid in a VO track using punch-and-roll, and it was all cutting together beautifully.    BUT....last night, when I was about an hour from completing -- the project just vanished.   No spinning beachball, no warning.   As if a witch had cursed it ...  poof.   I confidently restarted Audition and sent in a crash report, but when Audition reopened the project, it was missing all the work done over the past two days -- instead of 8 tracks, there were two.  Two crappy tracks. I started tracking back in my backup files and realized with mounting horror that EVERY backup file going back to yesterday afternoon was exactly the same.  The dates were off -- the imprinted date and time in the file did not match the "Date created" or "date modified" in my (old) iMac.  They

Hi everyone,I've just bought the Behringer UMC404HD to my laptop.the UMC404HD sample rate is 192KHz.what should be the recorded setting sample rate at the audio hardware ? 192 Khz?when im doing that nothing moves.only sampling of 44100 seems to work.is there any need for more setting?what about the PC sampling rate?it seems the UMC404HD samples at high rate 192KHz but the audition at 44100?i will be glad ,if someone clarify the issueThanksBull

Hello,I can't edit a clip from Premiere in Audition.I right click on a clip on my Premiere Time Line and choose "edit clip in Adobe Edition"Usually, Audition opens and I find my clip and its waveform already open. But now it's not the case anylonger. Audition opens but with no file or clip in it..... What did I get wrong?Thank you for your help!marie 

Lately I've noticed this sound/style on song remixes where it starts with a lowpass and then when the beat drops or chorus starts, it comes in with a hard hit sound and the lowpass is bypassed.  I'm new to audio editing and I've been trying to replicate this sound (the heavy hit/whoosh) when the lowpass is dropped: https://a.tumblr.com/tumblr_qixr8d79l31ql8aqqo1.mp3 I've been messing around with equalizer, reverb and volume for hours on a generic whoosh sound effect and I just can't get this sound. Does anyone know if there's a particular name for this sound, or how can I make it sound like the one in the link with what effects?  Please explain as simply as possible, thank you!

I found very little online information about which control surfaces are compatible with Audition, but recently purchased a Presonus Fader Port 2 for use with audition but I found it didn' function despite Adobe's claims and with no help from Presonus. The guys at Gear4Music were great and swapped it over for a Begringer X Touch Compact. This is a more sophisticated control surface but it works seamlessly with Audition and with hardly any set up. It' salmost plug and play. The x Touch is a great bit of kit and combined with Audition it's a very powerful way of working with audio.

Hi brain trust!I'm learning to use Audition for editing a podcast, I'm producing. In order to make my work efficient and quick, I'd like to be able to mainly use keyboard shortcuts. For some reason, I can't figure out how to do simple cuts.I use control + K to make a cut but the problem is selecting the track first (if I use the mouse I just click it to select it). Is there a keyboard shortcut that selects the track thus allowing me to do this?Thanks!!!

I'm using macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6Audition has been flawless and great up until a few days ago. Audtion no longer opens. No updates to my operating system have been made recently. Any help getting this setteld would be appreciated.  Here's what pops up when I attempt to open Audition: "Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Audition CS6 works with this version of macOS. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and macOS. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple." 

Podcast: in my Audition 2020. I thought of trying "Podcast". So when i  open new multitrack session; if i press the Template tab, drop down menu shoes only "None" and nothing else. Can some one shed a light, what setting i'm missing..... KS 

I fear I have infected our computer with complex nanoparticles from my complicated brain.I have been happily editing a podcast, using the most current version of Audition (Build 12.1.3.10) on an iMac running High Sierra 10.13.6 with 16 GB of RAM and plenty of hard drive space.  As I built sequences in separate .sesx files, I saved every 3 minutes to the Adobe/Audition/12.0 folder on my hard drive.  Carefully created session folders saved all media to those.  I also backed up the .sesx files as well as media to an external disk.At 3:17 am the night before our launch, the program crashed.  Just went black.  I restarted, and what came up was heartbreaking.  Session files had confused media files, putting one inside of another, mislabelling, and presenting multi-track projects with empty tracks.  Backups did not help;  I went through every version and got the same results.I am wondering if the fact that I have my documents folder on my iCloud caused

I'm using the Beta version of Adobe Audition and saving my work as 44,100Hz 16-bit files. But every time I open a file that I've saved with these specs, it's showing up as 32-bit. It doesn't matter whether I "save as" and change the sample type (overwriting the previous version), or whether I "convert sample type" and then save; every time I then close the file and then re-open it later, it's back to 32-bit. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks!
