I know you can apply a fade curve to the beginning or end of an audio track but what if I want to smooth from voice over speaking to silence between sentences mid track? Any tool for that?
I've recently started reading lists of student names for (virtual) graduation ceremonies. I have to leave about 2 seconds of silence between each name, and while I'm pretty good at doing this when things are flowing smoothly, there are a number of times when I have to pause longer to read over a tricky name or listen to an audio file of the name or do some research, meaning that the silences can range from just over 1 second (occasionally I get going a bit too fast) to 30 seconds or more.So my question is this: is there a way to get Audition to automatically find (relative) silences of anywhere from 1-60 seconds in a track and automatically replace them with silences of 2 seconds? It would save me a lot of time if I didn't have to do it manually. Thanks,Brian
I stupidly cut up my audio (Audition) and reordered it before editing the volume. Is there any way for me to edit the whole original piece (I need to up the volume and remove background hissing) without having to do the same for each individual cut? Thanks.
I have this strange problem that does not allow me to correctly view the program, with no other software I have this problem, would you know how to fix it?
Audition (and audio, in general) newb here. I'm making a short film that consists of two actors whose dialog is applied as voiceover to a shot of an electronic instrument they're using in a lab. The instrument is all that's shown as we hear them discuss what they're measuring. I have very clean audio of both actors and have applied it to the video, along with sound effects for instrument fans, room ventilation, button presses, etc., but the audio is so clean it still sounds ... unrealistic is all I can say; like it was recorded in a soundbooth, as, indeed, it was. I'm sorry if this isn't clearer; as a newb I'm unfamiliar with the terms. If you understand my problem, is there a fix? Some sort of filter or effect I can apply in Audition? I've completed the Lynda.com Audition Essential Basics course, so I know my way around the program, though I'm far from an expert. Thanks for any tips.
I have a track that I "mixed" with insertion of sounds and voices some time ago, using Audition's predecessor, Cool Edit Pro. Since I lost the original sound/voice files, I want to extract them from the mixed track. I have the non-mixed music track available. A couple of tutorials mentioned you can create a multi-track session, using both tracks with the original music track "inverted", mix them and that should do the trick (ie: the inverse should cancel out the music itself). Unfortunately, that does not work. How can I accomplish this with the above resources?
I am on AA CC 2020 newest version. Mac. While recording with punch and roll in waveform editor the last sylable or part of the word prior to my punch in point is inserted upon recording. For example if I say "Test one two three" and punch in after "three". "ree" audio appears at the end of the sentence after my punch in point. I've attached an so you can see what is happening. I have uninstalled and re-installed audition with no change. Please let me know whey this has started happening. Thanks!Tristan
I am doing a final run through of my podcast. But I need to go through it and remove plosives. So I open a project(session?) in Audition, I import my audio file, and I begin removing the plosives with the effect to remove mic vibration. So I begin removing them and then I have to stop. So I save the project(session?) and close it. When I have time again I want to open the project and continue removing plosives from exactly where I left off. Then save and close. Then continue by opening the project and continuing where I left off, until I have finished the entire podcast. But this is not how Audition works at all and I can't figure out the workflow to accomplish the above scenario. Is there a way to do what I'm trying to do? [Moved to a thread of its own - Mod]
Does anyone use OneDrive? I am having real issues with syncing Adobe Audition and OneDrive - wondering if anyone uses these two together?
I am usingAudition CS6 which is on my MacBook Pro / 13 Inch Mid-2012/ High Sierra 10.13.16. The program stopped launching a week ago. I can only launch Au CS6 when in Safe Mode. Adobe Customer Support will not provide support and sent me to this forum. Crash report is below... I hope someone can help me as I make my living from using Audition. (I do remember running an Apple Security Update a day or two before, if that helps...) Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT)Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY THANK YOU in advance for your help!
Hey,I use Adobe Audition to record an audiobook, edit my audio tracks and individual files. Now I am on the verge of completion and have come across the following problem:I have to create a kind of table of contents/ contents in which you can jump back nad forth between the chapters. This playlist must be playable by all standardized mediaplayers. I have already created a playlist with corresponding markers within Adobe Audition. Can I get this configured?I am looking forward to now useful advice.Greetings from Germany,Nadine
bonjour, Je ne parviens pas à configurer correctement les paramètres d'enregistrements, car je ne m'entends pas jouer quand j'enregistre, et cela vous pouvez le deviner, me pose pas mal de problème. avez vous la solution ?
Hello, first time posting here, thank you for reading and thanks in advance for your help! I am an audio engineer working with a video producer on a series of videos. He has been working in Premiere and is familiarizing himself with Audition, so I recently downloaded and am finding my way around Audition as well, for ease of collaboration. I do not have a subscription to Premiere. My version of Audition is also a slightly earlier release than his, as my computer OS is older and Audition will only update to 12.1.5.3 for me. So far, we have a very clunky workflow. We've found that he can open his Premiere projects in Audition on his computer, but I can't open his Premiere projects. I assume this is because of the version discrepancy, but I could be wrong. I can open his Audition session files, however, so here's what we've been doing:- He opens his Premiere project in Audition on his computer- He saves that as a new Audition session with all assets in a folder- He uploads all t
I am wondering if someone might be able to ensure that I have things set up correctly in order to do a podcast. I have great equipment but no idea how to use it. I'm told that I am probably just missing something simple
Yamaha includes a license for Nuendo Live with their TF series mixers (we have a TF5) that I've used to record all 32 channels live pre-digital gain to use for initial sound checks and trouble shooting without the band being present. I've gotten it to record but not play back and I really would rather use Audition anyway but I can't seem to get all of the 32 tracks for live recording into Audition. Can this be done, is there a resource available to show me out to do this?
Hi there~I import music file(wav or mp3) and play that. But It doesn't working.I cannot listen the music.Help me.
i want to bind a key to fast forward. moving the mouse down to the double arrows on the transport controls window is slowing me down. in the keyboard shortcut window "fast forward" is not an option as an action to bind to a key. how in the world is this possible? scrubbing in multitrack is such a basic feature, i can't bind a key to it? does audition have a sort of "MIDI learn" feature where I click FF and then click a key to bind it? thanks!
I have mono recordings that payback fine, but when only below 500hz is selected a completely different conversation is happening. Selecting the sub 500hz range makes the hidden conversation playback decent results, but the voices are muddled somehow. Any suggestions for how to get them sounding better? I've played around with tools and effects but have not found "the" fix for this. SAMPLE ATTACHED Thanks for any suggestions
When I start the recording session, Adobe Audition is (according to the Mac Activity Monitor) taking 23% CPU. As the recording time advances, the % increases. At about 5 hours, the CPU time is at 100%. There are no other apps running and taking CPU time. Sometine before 6 hours, the Audition display becomes erratic and the time stops and jumps ahead randomly. Eventually the Activity Monitor reports that Adobe Audition is not responding. My system is Mojave 10.14.6 on a Mac mini (2018) with a 3.2 Ghz Intel Core i7. Acrobat is using Windows: Editor, Files, Freq Analysis, Level Meters, Time and Tools.I don't understand why the CPU goes up while the recording time increases? Isn't the app just putting bits on the drive? I'm not asking to do any editing processing until the 6 hours has been captured.I'm asking for 16 bits stereo 44100 Hz .
In a podcast tutorial, it said Adobe Audition has a built-in podcast template. I have Adobe Audition 2020. When I tried to open a new multitrack session, I clicked on the template box and the dropdown box had "None". Does anyone know why there are no templates listed? Thanks for your help.
I just finished production on a multitrack session. It was playing perfectly and all the sudden stopped letting me hear it. It's playing, but not audio is coming out of the speakers. When I open the session.mp3, it's just a blank line. I've opened the individual tracks as single wav's and they play and can be heard. I've opened a new multitrack session and the files play in there. Is there a fix, so I don't have to redo the entire production?
When recording a voice over file using Audition having completed the recording I notice that the recorded volume on the waveform screen fluctuates either getting progressively softer or louder on some occasions there also appears to be a wave effect along the waveform readout where the recorded volume slowly oscillates from soft to loud then back to soft. It appears that the system is hunting for sound then reacting having found sound input by me and reacts accordingly by adjusting the recorded volume up or down. At all times during the recording I attempt to maintain a constant distance for the microphone and speak at a consistent volume. The input equipment I am using is a SE 2200a microphone via an ARC valve pre-amplifier plugged directly into my pc's soundcard. The second issue is that when recording different tracks in the same way as described above there is quite a difference in the recorded volume from one tract to the next. Is there somet
I want to know how I can create a sound source of snr of -3db by fixing the noise to 70db hl and setting the signal to 67db hl.
Anybody know how to expand an audio file compressed with HighCom compressor by Telefunken?
