I found very little online information about which control surfaces are compatible with Audition, but recently purchased a Presonus Fader Port 2 for use with audition but I found it didn' function despite Adobe's claims and with no help from Presonus. The guys at Gear4Music were great and swapped it over for a Begringer X Touch Compact. This is a more sophisticated control surface but it works seamlessly with Audition and with hardly any set up. It' salmost plug and play. The x Touch is a great bit of kit and combined with Audition it's a very powerful way of working with audio.

Dear All - I am running High Sierra 10.13.6 on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) and have Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 (all other programmes working perfectly) from which I run Adobe Audition 4.0. Audition worked perfectly until a recent iTunes update and now it crashes. I have reinstalled it but still get the same result. Hi brain trust!I'm learning to use Audition for editing a podcast, I'm producing. In order to make my work efficient and quick, I'd like to be able to mainly use keyboard shortcuts. For some reason, I can't figure out how to do simple cuts.I use control + K to make a cut but the problem is selecting the track first (if I use the mouse I just click it to select it). Is there a keyboard shortcut that selects the track thus allowing me to do this? Thanks!!!
Hi @ all,is there a way to get an license key for Audition CS6? Perhaps someone is selling one? Thanks in advanceKarl
I'm using macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6Audition has been flawless and great up until a few days ago. Audtion no longer opens. No updates to my operating system have been made recently. Any help getting this setteld would be appreciated. Here's what pops up when I attempt to open Audition: "Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Audition CS6 works with this version of macOS. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and macOS. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple."
Podcast: in my Audition 2020. I thought of trying "Podcast". So when i open new multitrack session; if i press the Template tab, drop down menu shoes only "None" and nothing else. Can some one shed a light, what setting i'm missing..... KS
I fear I have infected our computer with complex nanoparticles from my complicated brain.I have been happily editing a podcast, using the most current version of Audition (Build 12.1.3.10) on an iMac running High Sierra 10.13.6 with 16 GB of RAM and plenty of hard drive space. As I built sequences in separate .sesx files, I saved every 3 minutes to the Adobe/Audition/12.0 folder on my hard drive. Carefully created session folders saved all media to those. I also backed up the .sesx files as well as media to an external disk.At 3:17 am the night before our launch, the program crashed. Just went black. I restarted, and what came up was heartbreaking. Session files had confused media files, putting one inside of another, mislabelling, and presenting multi-track projects with empty tracks. Backups did not help; I went through every version and got the same results.I am wondering if the fact that I have my documents folder on my iCloud caused
I'm using the Beta version of Adobe Audition and saving my work as 44,100Hz 16-bit files. But every time I open a file that I've saved with these specs, it's showing up as 32-bit. It doesn't matter whether I "save as" and change the sample type (overwriting the previous version), or whether I "convert sample type" and then save; every time I then close the file and then re-open it later, it's back to 32-bit. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks!
Mike Russel (who also gave some amazing presentations at Adobe Video World this year) just published this pretty cool tutorial about beat matching in Adobe Audition with our extension BeatEdit.
I am looking at this in Audition:It's about 5 seconds on my harmonica. My goal is to employ Audition to end up with something more like the sytle of this:Which was basically something I googled up in terms of the exact look and feel of the exact waveform I seeek visusally. Only I want the waveform to actually be the 5 secs of my harmonica.I am a visual designer and today I played around with Audition for the first time thinking it might be useful in producing what I am after.
Hi, I'm using Adobe Audition CC 2020. Recently I couldn't save the file in single view (not multitrack) as the "Save" button greyed out. The only save options is available is "Save all", even I only have one track in the single viewer..(picture attached)..Does anyone know how to fix it? Thank you
It seems that my .wav file has become corrupt since I have a voice recorded .wav form which shows up in adobe audition! See the wave form put when play - silence . I copy the wave form and paste it and there is nothing . File explorer states that the file is large ( there is something there ) - What has Audition done - it s 12min of audio recorded and now I have loost it !!???help
I use Audition to clean up LP's for digital storage. I zoom in to remove a click, but after fixing the .wav file looks like I silenced everything. It plays just fine and the spectral view appears normal. You can even see the full .wav above the editor in the timeline. If I save the file the fix is saved and it will re-open correctly. This used to happen every so often and restarting the program fixed it. Tonight it is happening every time I make a fix. Any ideas how to stop this?
Hello everyone, So, I am new to the whole podcasting thing and tried to gather enough information to get started. I heard from a friend that it's better to use URX Mics. So I bought a set, including a mixer, to use with my mac. Now, it should be Plug and Play and my mac recognizes something (I think it's a driver of some kind), but everytime i'm like 2 or 3 minutes in, the program looses it's hardware settings. So, it stops recording or the playback and it kind of resets. At the store they tell me they've never had this kind of complaint before. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? HelloWhen I'm trying to continue a recording, Audition jumps to the start of the file and rewrites the already written existing audio data.Is there a way to continue recording at the end? The way it works in Audacity, for example? The version I'm using is CC 2018 11.0.0.199
Will Audition 2020 interface with a Digi 002 console?
I have some files, in HE-AACv2 format recorded from the same exact source using same exact settings. Normally, these files do not open correctly in Adobe Audition. However, one of them opens correctly, that's the odd thing. On the files that do not open correctly, there are no error messages, but when they open, Audition opens it as a mono file and plays it at half the speed. The files were recorded with a stream recorder software. They are all the same exact size (27MB). Below is the information from MediaInfo comparing one that opens fine, and the other that does not. The only difference I see is the file name, everything else seems identical. However, Audition does not like the second file (05-21). I am using Audition 2020. I have many other files same exact format that Audition does not like, but the first one listed below (05-20), for some reason opens fine in Audition. I open all files just fine in the free Audacity editor, and they work fine in any player I try. So I don't think
Good morning: I'm the new kid on the block. I'm also technology challenged. I just finished my first draft of my DIY Demo. When I tried to figure out how to post it on the FB page, my audio file went blank. Nothing but a black background. I must of hit the wrong key and now I don't know how to get that file back. Can somebody PLEASE help.Thank you in advanceBill Flagg
I am unable to cut sections in an audio file. When I go up to Edit choices of cut, paste, paste to new, delete, crop, and edit original are grayed out. How do I fix this?
Hey Everyone Thought I would leave this little bit of information here for anyone that comes across the same issue. I do a lot of post production editing in Audition for podcasts and audio dramas. A couple of times in my process I have come across a "Bad Allocation" Error when I am editing. I looked into it for a long time and couldn't really find any answers, but I finally have. If there error ever arises for you. Shut audition down, open up your task manager and reopen the session in Audition. Now watch your Memory values (RAM). If it jumps very high; into the 90%; you have nearly maxed out your RAM in the editing process and will have trouble editing further. This is basically a limit reach on your PC's compenents and you might need to look into increasing your RAM if you will continue doing heavy editing like myself. Just thought everyone should know this, if they encouter said problem or error.
I am looking at buying a Laptop for use with Adobe Audition. However, the spec sheet for audition lists a requirement of 1920x1080 or higher Resolution requirement. Is this actually required or just a recommendation? The 15" screens the laptops I am looking at only support a maximum of 1366 x 768 resolution. Will 1366 x 768 be high enough to run audition? Also, will a budget Intel Celeron N3350 dual-core processor 1.10GHz (with Max Turbo Speed of 2.40GHz) and 8 GB's of RAM be sufficient to run Audition too? This will be under Windows 10.Let me know.Jim
About a week ago my Audition (v.13.0.10.32) stopped playing back audio files. It loads the file and I see a waveform, but when I push the play button, it turns green, the program shows "Playing" in the bottom left corner, but the playhead doesn't move. I've also noticed when the application is open and I select another program and go back to the program, the spinning wheel shows up for 15sec exactly and then goes away. Weird thing is that my audio plays in Premiere, After Effects and all other apps on my computer. Can someone help?!?! I've been down for a week and am backed up on projects. I have a 2013 MacPro, OS Catalina 10.15.1, 2.7 GHz 12-Core Xeon E5, 64GB 1866 MHz DDR3, AMD FirePro D700 6GB. I'm not a novice when it comes to troubleshooting and computers as this is part of my job. I've followed several threads on here and have done most everything others said to do and nothing. I even called Adobe 2x for over an hour each, had
I have created a template project. Where some clips will need to be changed in and out but the main structure stays the same. Id like to save a backup of all the core audio that will be in every template incase anything goes wrong. So basically I need to export everything from the multitrack with the names that are on the clips rather than the original track names. Is this possible? if not why not ? 😞 (it is the audio in track 3 that will be personalised to each listener all other tracks stay the same in every export.)
