Hi all! Been here lots before, but first time posting on the community. Thank you all for your constant vigilance! 😄 I'm a voice over artist and use audition to record voice clips to send to clients. I recently upgraded from Adobe CS5.5 to CC. As soon as I did I started having issues with input levels. When playing back after recording, I'm finding that the input levels aren't uniform all the way through. The volume will suddenly get a lot louder or softer unexpectedly. To compensate, I'll have to raise or lower the volume of certain phrases, which isn't ideal. A picture of what I'm talking about is below. Sometimes this will happen mutiple times throughout a recording which makes editing a headache. Anyone know what might be causing this? I've tried changing drivers from standard MME to ASIO4ALL and hasn't fixed issue. Specs that I'm working with are below. OS: Windows 10 homeProcessor: i5-9400 2.90GHzRAM: 16GBSys type: 64bitMic: AKG Perception 4
Hi all, Wondering if folks have found a nice solution for using an iPad as a remote/custom shortcuts solution? Surely it is possible, and developers have created such apps, but wondering if folks here have any experience to share.
I'm curious if others have experienced HomePods. I just got a pair via Best Buy sale ($199 per; no longer there but OWC has them for about the same price). I'm very impressed with the sound generally; great clarity. Besides just enjoying the sound, I'm using them as another set of test speakers, and also as a mono speaker test. Other thoughts from others??
I can't seem to get my X32 to control Audition. I have tried several things and I'm sure there is something I'm not selecting correctly. I have no trouble using it as an interface and recording to Audition, I just can't seem to use it as a control surface. It says it is able to do this but I am just wondering if others have gotten this to work.
I'm running low on space on my Macbook, because all of my sessions are around the 2GB mark. Whenever I start a new session, I used copy/paste the previous one to use as a template rather than just use an empty template to start with. I've since fixed this and it won't be an issue from now on, but I've got about a year's worth of 2GB sessions clogging up my laptop. Clearing unused files manually is a chore because you have no idea what's being used by the session until you remove it, restart the session and see if it throws up any warnings for missing files. Pro Tools has a function where you can select all files not currently being used on the timeline and delete them. Is there anything like that in Audition? All I could find was some external program from about 2008, so I'm not too sure about it. Plus it seemingly only runs on Windows, and I'm using a Mac. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Adam
Hi everyone, I've got the Steinberg UR44 with inputs on channels 1-3. The stereo option allows me only to hook up two channels. When I went to Multitrack, no sound was coming out if I did MONO- Input 1-3, or hit Stereo (it was showing only options for input 1, 3, 5 -- when I only have 4 inputs?). I'd much prefer to just use waveform for now, but how can I get it to recognize and record 3 mics?Thank you!Mackenzie
Hello, for jobs that I have to do for clients,is it possible to use these sound effects on this page? Here is the link:AdobeAuditionDLCSFX.htmlAre they free sounds?I have a license agreement that includes all the creative cloud including Adobe Audition. Many thanksD
I have a book narration with chapters in separate audio files. I'm finding sounds in one file which need to be removed in all of the files. I use the paintbrush tool to mark each sound and then remove throughout the file using Effects-Noise Reduction, but that just corrects in in one chapter. How can I somehow save each sound I'm removing and somehow mass-remove all these sounds (about a dozen) from all the individual chapter files without pulling all chapters into the same file. Thanks
is it possible to create an import and export command of all (all) Audition settings ??Workspace, Keyboard Controls, Favorites, Effects Racks, Various Effect Settings etc ...and create an automatic backup to disk and cloud of these settings ???IT IS NOT POSSIBLE, I REPEAT (IT IS NOT POSSIBLE !!!) that in 2020 I have to lose ALL THE SETTINGS, THE PRESETS I HAD (not a few) with a trivial update of the same version from 13.0.2 to version 13.0.4 !!!Now I'm desperate, I haven't even had time to backup!
Hello all, so the auto-update to Audition 13.0.0.519 didn't carry over all my presets that I made up to this point. I went into File/Import/Application Settings and found both my EffectPresets.xml and Favorites.xml files but when I try to load them I am given the following error message: The file Favorites.xml could not be imported as application settings due to an unknown error. Has anyone else come across this? I really need those settings because they have been used for a large video project that I am in the middle of and can't move forward until I have those settings back. Recreating them would be an enormous effort and probably impossible to get to the exact same settings. I guess I could try to roll back to a previous version maybe? Also as a side note, is anyone else tired of Adobe as a company? I feel like I am constantly dealing with problems like this but because they have a monopoly on the creative industry I have to keep using their pr
Folks... Recently -- I think since the last update -- Audition 2020 has become non-responsive. I can open files -- new or existing -- but when I try to record or edit, there is NO response to my commands. I double checked the files to be sure they weren't locked, so that's not the problem. I can't find a setting that would have disabled any commands...nor would I see the value in one. But here I sits...wanting to do brilliant editing and EQ work...and Audition is ignoring me in silent belligence. I'm about to throw a brick through the screen, but I thought someone out there might have a better suggestion. I'm on Audition 2019, WIndows 10.When I play back 48k files through a Digigram VX881E using ASIO, it's very crackly. The files are OK when played on another system, or using MME drivers.44.1K plays fine, and when I swapped with a Lynx AES16e everything works correctly at 48k.So far I'm stumped. Any ideas out there? Thanks,John
Hi, I record track one. Say it's an accoustic guitar. Then, when I record track two, and playback, the 2nd track is delayed a bit? If I go in and move then entire track I can align them. But I'm doing something wrong. And I have no idea what. Please help, Thanks, Ian

HiUsing CC2019 I am converting a large number of accurately timed wav files to mp3. I want the mp3 files to be the same duration as the wav's but exporting to 192kbps CBR at 44100/16 stereo, a 59:00 long mp3 is about 6 seconds shorter in run time, (i.e. 58:54), a 2:59:00 wav to mp3 exports as 2:58:44. I am having to use Stetch and Pitch with special timings in order to get the required duration.Fortunately the discrepancy is consistent, so for example, batching a number of 59.00 minute files with an S&P preset set at a new duration of 59.06 then exporting to mp3 seems to do the trick, but why is it happening? It is a PITA to have to experiment to find a setting that works for different durations. The conversions also take time, the 59 min progs take about 25 mins. The win10 pc is reasonably high end, it will batch 15 wavs simultaneously but I get the same issues on a win10 box running CS6 which will only handle 3 simul
I'm recording a radio show on my computer which I have to send to the radio station as an 320 kbps mp3 file. So far so good. The problem is that when I want to export the multitrack session through the export/multitrack/full session window (with mp3 320 kbps properly selected), what I get is a 192 kbps file. And the guy at the station is not happy. the funny thing is that when the file opens in Audition after exporting, it says 320 kbps. when I look at it in explorer, it says 192 kbps, and the file is 86 Mb when it should be 145...I tried to export through Media Encoder, but it's even worse, there's no 320 kbps option as it stops at 256...I solved the problem temporarily by exporting to .wav and then converting to 320 kbps mp3 in Audacity but 1/ it's slightly tedious and 2/I'd like Audition (and Media Encoder) to handle it properly.any idea what the problem might be?
How do I cancel free trial adobe audio?Thank you.
I'm not sure what part of my system I should be suspicious of. I use Audition to record so I'm posting it here, though it could surely be any other system factor responsible. I get a recording that has a glitchy skip where time is lost, however brief fraction of a second. Or it is a super rapid digital sounding loop for just a brief moment, you probably know what I mean. It's like you asked the computer a really hard math problem in the middle of recording.. it must doing something else for a moment. It could be a 5 minute recording or an hour long one. It doesn't happen every since recording. I tried putting the laptop in airplane mode in case it was internet related. Inconclusive. I'm not using any VST realtime processing software on the input. Hi all.I upgraded from Cool Edit Pro to Audition 1.0 and then 3.0 a long time ago.I have re-installed the software and now I can't find the 3.0 serial number. However, I do have the 1.0 serial number.Customer services have been unable to help, although they have supplied me with a serial number for CS3 Master Collection, but it excludes Audition.I contacted customer services again and they have told me they can't help as it is such an old product and they have directed me to these forums.I was running 3.0 on an old Windows 7 Professional 32-bit P.C., so I can't update to the latest subscription-based version of Audition as that requires a 64-bit P.C.Any help and advice appreciated.Thanks.Chris.
Just paid for a monthly plan and the program is still on the trial version, help!
Hi there, The video playback in audition is pretty much unusable for me. With pretty much every video I try the playback is either very choppy or the video won't play back at all. In premiere I have no issues at all with playback. Changing the resolution in Audition also doesn't seem to help the problem whatsoever.I'm on the 2018 Macbook Pro 15", anybody have similar issues or a potential fix? Thanks in advance!
I am making radio documentaries and Audition CC has a lot of interesting features for very precise editing tasks but I can't find ways of working smoothly with groups or merged clips. I am editing at the moment a long piece needing a lot of speech editing, with sometimes 8 to 10 very short clips to make less than a single minute. When this short speech is edited in 10 very short clips, I would like to merge all these clips together visually to get only one clip. Merging would be the best way but I need to be able to unmerge them if additional editing work is needed later (This is something you can do with Sadie for example, a DAW designed for radio use). Would there be a way of doing it with Audition CC ?My workaround is to 'Group' theses clips together. Visually, it is not perfect as I still see a lot of small clips but, grouping them makes a single clip to move around which was my main goal and it is possible to ungroup easily. When I have edited
So i’m using Adobe Audition 2020, I am fairly new to it but I did use the 2017 version for a while previously. When i’m recording music and I hear the vocal stems with no effects and with effects and they don't have any popping noise, but the moment i export them, when I open the audio clip in itunes or send it to my producer it is CONSTANT crackling and popping, however when I export it WITH the effects on it (like autotune, delay, etc) there's no popping? I’m just incredibly confused because it's never done this before I don't believe when i was using the 2017 version.
Hello! I merged two audio clips in cc 2020 in mulktitrack view. Now the we need the audio that was not used, so we need the orginal audio of the first clip. Where is it?
