I am using a Windows 10 PC with an external headphone with microphone to make outgoing Google Voice calls (which is perfectly legal in my state of residence). Outgoing Google Voice calls can not be recorded by the Google Voice software/app. How can I record both sides of a conversation when I am making outgoing phone calls with Google Voice from a  desktop PC using Adobe Audition?Thanks for your help and pointers!

Hey all, I have an out of the box iMac Pro, running Mojave 10.14.5, Auditon 13.0.1.35. This is a reoccuring multitrack that i know works....the Yeti is assigned as the input in Audio Hardware and as the input on the track i'm recording to. It recognized the device- but when i arm for record I get no level whatsoever from. Bounced the mic back to the same session on my macbook pro with the same exact settings and it works. Furthermore, also did a troubleshoot and looked up the Yeti in Sysytem prefs/Sound and got a level from it. Anybody come across this?....very frustrating.

Hi, I have a couple of old scripts created for Audition 3.0 that I need to run again. Is there a way to run them in Audition CC or convert them into a file format that will run? Thanks!

Hi,I think I found a bug in 13.0.2.In multitrack session, when I change the sample rate from 44 to 48, it successfully changes it in my audio interface's panel (Focusrite Control) and it also displays properly in Audio Hardware Preferences inside Audition. Perfect.  However, when you look at the project view (bottom right), you will see that the display does NOT update to show the new 48 sample rate. I even tried quitting and reloading the template I created. Same issue. 

I can't believe this has been such a difficult answer to find. I'm recording audio for an audiobook, but while reviewing my work, I realize that I accidentally forgot to include all of five words from a sentence. I just need to move everything down and re-record the audio, but the only way to do that (that I know of) is to take it into multitrack by creating a new file, separate the tracks, and insert ANOTHER new recorded file inbetween them. That can't possibly be the most efficent method in Adobe Audition. Any ideas?

The guest's audio track has really loud and unpleasant breathing in sounds, so I want to decrease the volume but not remove them completely, as my concern is that removing breaths completely, it would make the guest sound like a robot. Here's a short sample: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9rltnu8d6w9ken7/Podcast%203.mp3?dl=0 It's 90 minutes long recording, so I would prefer not doing this manually but rather using an effect that can do this for me for the whole recording (even if it's not perfect). I can't find a solution on YouTube so hopefully, there is someone that can point me in the right direction here. Hi,I would like to try mixing multitrack projects in Audition with a control surface of some description. However, lots of searching and reading seems to give mixed responses as to what works consistently with the current version of Adobe Audition CC. One option would be something like the Behringer X-Touch Compact. Another might be a software controller that runs on an iPad. It might be cheaper to go down the iPad route as I have a 2017 iPad already. However, I see conflicting details about what works, and what software has been maintained for current versions of iOS. Added to all this is the need for it work with the PC version of Audition. Has anyone got any recommendations of hardware or software that would work with the current version of Audition, and that is being regularly maintained?As a bonus, the solution would also work with Premiere Pro CC, and ideally would have hardware/software controls for that too.Thanks in advance,Adam

I have recorded drums and am not happy with the sound. Is there a plugin that uses the single tracks as trigger and creates a new track with only a library sound? for example, I want to keep timing and strength of the snare hits so the drummer´s feeling stays the same, but replace the sound with a better snare.Thanx!

I'll put my question at the top and the story at the bottom. Thank you everyone in advance whoever reads/responds to this.I want to know if you can make a music track with Adobe Audition without having any physical instrument in your hands. I wouldn't mind adding in the 'sounds' of real instruments without having them, but I'm predominantly going to go for more 'electronic' type sounds and beats. In the future, I might end up with a Synthesizer so I need to know if Audition will 'connect' to that just fine and take the 'inputs'(?). So the story for context.I'm doing a diploma in science. In doing this, I learnt a little about frequencies, a little about music etc. I realised that I wouldn't mind playing an instrument between studying as a creative break from studying without too much of a breakaway 'from' it as I've heard playing music is great for your mind. How can i read the marks (created by pressing the 'Mark' button during recording) on a wav file, within Audition? I was hoping they would appear as audition's 'cues'.  😞Thanks,John

Hello everyone;We were using Premier Pro 2019 for a long time in my company and recently bought Audition for our editors.When we try to "send" audio for editing to Audition we always get the dll error that you can see in the attached image.We dont have Dynamic Link, is mandatory to have it in order to work?.All the PC have the .dll in the route that appears in the message.Does anyonw knows what could be happening?.Regards.

hii have an audio with some noisei would like to select the noise under spectral and remove from the same audioi have tried with the multi track without luckwhat i did1) loaded the audio in audition cc2) spetral view mode , selected the audio i want to remove ,copy and created a new audio file3) multi track original audio 1 track , noise (pasted several times) polariti reverse is there a way to subract it ?thanks 

Fairly new to Audition altho I have done a lot in SONAR (Which i no longer have). I'm trying to stretch the length (tempo) of a file but not the pitch. Heres what's blowing my mind. Youtube tutorials, it looks pretty simple, create multi-track session (easy enough), import song into track (easy enough) and then look on the right hand corner for a little sqaure that says VOLUME Mine doesnt. It says PAN and I cannot figure out how to set this little right hand square to VOLUME. And then I can supposedly drag the file out to the right which will increase the length and slow it down. Is there an easier way? Even if there is, can someone show me how to change the PAN upper right to VOLUME? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, I really like the Denoise effect to get rid of the background hiss/hum that's in my recording. But for some reason, after Denoise, it seems I just can't recover a natural/full quality the auido afterwards. Here's the link to the original recording in wav, and the mp3 output after it has been processed. The only effects on this are Denoise (Processing Focus: flat), Parametric Equalizer (Vocal Enhancer), and Multiband Compressor (Pop Master). I didn't add any normalization or hard limiter at this point.  Can anyone see if there's anything particularly wrong/displeasing with the final audio output? To me, it just sounds robotic and not very natural, especially more obvious on a mobile device. Or are there any suggestions on alternative effects to apply or maybe in a different order to get a better quality output?  I did try adding more mid-range and clarity, but it didn't really help.. Thanks.

I've been using Audition for over a decade.  Just upgraded from Windows7 to Windows10, and now I'm having all sorts of trouble getting audition to work properly.  I have a Lynx e22 sound card.  It shows a signal when playing sound in Audition while in MME, but I get no signal or sound when in ASIO (device class in Audition). Sound will however play from other media programs like Windows Media Player.  Recording in ASIO is a must for the lower latency.  I know this has something to do with Windows10 because I did not have this problem with Windows7.  Does anyone know what's going on and how to fix this issue?  

I am trying to move from ProTools to Audition for certain post projects.  All of my VST/VST3 plugins are showing up in Audition when I try to add them to a track.  However, some specific plugins show in the list but don't load when I select them.  Specifically, NX Virtual Mix Room, Dourrough Meters and  any of the Waves Abbey Road plugins.  Is that an issue with these specific plugins, or is there something I need to set in my Audition settings that is preventing them from loading?  All other Waves plugins load properly.  The thing that is baffling is that they are showing up as installed but when I select them they don't load.  Any suggestions?Thanks!

Trying to even out chapters in an audiobook.  I have one "gold standard" chapter the producer considers perfect, against which I am comparing all the others.  I am trying to understand the differences which make one chapter better than the other, and also looking for a way to apply the settings for my gold standard to all the others.  I have tried "Match Total RMS to File," not successful.  Now I just ran "amplitude statistics" on the gold file, and they are DIFFERENT from the analysis results in Match Loudness. (e.g. total RMS is 16.60 in Amplitude Statistics, and 19.62 in Match Loudness).Why are these different?   What can be done?Thanks.Rob

Sending media into Audition from Premiere Pro 2020 (right clicking on a clip in the sequence and hitting Edit In Adobe Audition) throws two identical error messages:  Only started happening once updated to version 13.0.2.35. Windows 10, fully up to date as of 1/15/2020 Please sound off in the comments if you're having the same issue

What is the difference between "mixdown" and "mixing"?

I have ran AA3.0 for years and years on the same computer. I bought 3.0 when it came out. Ive read thru some of this forum... am I to understand because my PC finally crashed after years of hard work that I have to start purchasing adobe audition again? i paid outright back in the stone age. still have the serial number and still have the disk. Why am i being punished when audition worked just fine on my old computer? please help me understand this. im a little frustrated
