Hi... I'm getting ready to submit my first audiobook to ACX. (It's a book about XC skiing in today's era of low snow, climate change and skewed cultural values, such as people who live in the north hating cold weather or playing in the snow being labeled as a luxury activity. I prepped my files by wandering around online and then going for it. I'm a total layman and I understand basically no technical jargon. I processed my files to meet the ACX requirements but the resulting waveforms had a strange look to them: they were solid black looking, blocky, and often solid in appearance along the top. ...And had more of a jaggy look along the bottom. I don't understand why a waveform is assymetric. So I went back to the drawing board when Steve told me about the mastering how-to info on the ACX blog. I re-did a file using an original source file and the result also met the specs but had a more overall "jaggy" look -- no solid portions at all. I thought it woul
Hello! To explain my question, id like to explain my workflow and what is happening...I work a lot with "Batch Process" feature to apply an effect in a group of clips. To find this group of clips, I select them in timeline, right-click, "Reveal Clips in Files Panel", drag them to Batch Process window and done. The thing is, when im working fast, sometimes it happens that I click accidentaly on "Link Media" option which is right bellow the "Reveal Clips in Files Panel", and when I click to Cancel (because I dont wanna link any media), all the selected clips changes the source media to the first one of the selected clips. And if I try to link the media, all the clips changes the source media to the one selected. So, my question is, there is a way to the "Link Media" feature, when the operation is cancelled, to keep the clips as they are without changing the source media of them? Is it a bug of Audition? Thank you!!
For a long, long time I have had Audition 3.0. My old computer died and now I am trying to install it on a different computer. How do I contact Adobe to get my serial number? Thanks,Regie
Hi, when I record, and then playback I can hear it properly through the right headphone but not the left. This is also confirmed when I look at the levels, considering the levels on the left channel are very low. thaaaanks
It is very easy to bag Adobe for their support - I have seen it many times on this forum. However, I am just going to say that I have had an ongoing issue for some weeks which essentially put me out of business for a week or two but Adobe has gone out of their way to sort out a solution. They have organised numerous phone hookups and PC interaction sessions and even a private build to isolate the cause and possible solution.I just now I received an email from Rohit Kumar and his team "As communicated earlier, we had also opened a case on Microsoft to investigate this particular issue. Microsoft reverted back and asked to enable following settings in Internet Explorer > Internet Options > Advanced (as highlighted in screenshot below):"I won't bore you with the rest but just to say that all is working as it should beMy thanks are extended to Rohit Kumar, Vimal Varshney, Riya Tayal, Shivam Mishra, Sanchit Handa, ARCHNA JAIN and of course Durin and co.You really don't realise how much
I have a hunch there's some way to automate the process of selecting the first or last x seconds (say, 40 seconds) of an audio file in Audition 13 (Mac). I've tried a few things & haven't yet hit upon the magic wand. Usually my projects have 15 to 45 files. I want to quickly zoom in on the start of each file. The files do not arrive with a marker at the zero mark. Any suggestions? The one way I tried to set up a Favorite didn't work. Hmmm. I could try setting up a Favorite macro to set markers for 00:00 and 00.00.40 and select the span of time. And then another favorite to delete the extraneous markers afterward. I do not know if the Favorite recorder will perceive those actions to be recordable, of course, till I try. And that would not help zoom in at the end of the files, which are of variable length, though I could try using the end of file navigation button. (Thinking aloud. Constrained from testing alternatives at rhe moment.) Better ideas? I've

As the title says, I go to prefernces > playback and the options for setting up punch and roll are missing.I right click on record and there are options for instant and timed record modes. No punch and roll mode. What do I do? I'm using Audtion CC 2018. It's updated to the latest version.
Hello I ask for help in solving my problem. 2 attempts to install this application failed. The first time the installation went through the Adobe Crative Cloud, but reaching 44% over an hour, nothing happened. I canceled the installation. Removed Adobe Creative Cloud. When trying to establish as usual, the process reached 16.4% and again no changes for more than an hour. Windows 10, Lenovo 530S laptop. Thanks in advance. Sorry for my English, I am writing through a translator.
like with key frames or anything?I notice in history, it refers to key frames added ormodified, but I dont see key frames any where. Also,it would be nice just to be able to copy ordrag an effect from one effects rack to another. Is that possible? I dont even see a "copy" optionin the effects rack. I dont want to save the effectand then apply it unless that is my only option? Thanks
As you can see, so many states are similar, it is easy to get lost going back.thank you anyone
Hello! Okay, so I use a PC. Adobe PREMIERE and the PC Voice Recorder App will recognize both the laptop microphone AND my Blue Snowball Ice USB microphone. However, even after updating Audition to CC2020, restarting the program and the laptop, following every guide on setting up the microphone (both in the program and changing the computer settings themselves) Audition will not record sound from either the Blue mic or the laptop mic. It won't even pick up the sound. I have no idea what to do. Why will Premiere recognize the mic but not Audition?
Hello everyone! I had a problem when I start to move the mouse or without moving, ui started as the virus spread and do everything badly. Who faced and corrected can prompt? Thank.
Hello! I've searched and searched for a solution but I'm not finding answers. Maybe I'm overlooking something but I don't think this should be this hard! I found a track I liked, marked the beat in audition with markers. I did have to mark the beat in the drums track, I exported that csv file and applied it to the full music track. - So far so good. I then remixed the full track in audition to acheive the length I needed and the marker indicators show up just fine in the remix. The problem is I cannot export the markers from the multitrack so I can use it in premiere to help time my video clips. I can only export the markers from the original non-remixed files. Is there something I'm missing here? - Using Audition 13.0.0.519
I'm prepping narration files for an audiobook. The files are now all edited for mis-speaking and for background sounds and clunks. Now I'm trying to make them all consistent in volume so they meet the ACX requirements of RMS, Peak, etc.I'm listening to the results on some earbuds that might be failing. Offhand the volume and quality sounds good. I'll try to get some better earbuds. Some things I notice, however, are shocking me and getting me worried. I've been using the Match Volume function to adjust my Total RMS and Peak Amplitude to fit the requirements. I notice how some of my source files display waveforms that have varying sizes and degrees of "fuzziness." I did use 3 different microphones in recording these files. My concern is that sometimes when I change the Total RMS then apply a Peak that the resulting waveform sometimes ends up looking like a SOLID BLOCK of sound -- like ALL the sound gets increased to a certain amount and then clipped back to fit the -
My SSD with all my apps and Windows died, so I had to reinstall Windows and all my apps. I had my C: drive completly backed up, so is there somewhere that audition automatically stores your settings that I can recover and open up? Or do I have to go through and reset audition manually back to how I like to use it?
I've been mixing this new song in multirack view since yesterday everything was fine until today, i proceeded to add two FFT filters (Kill mic rumble and Mastering- Heavy and wide filters) and now when i play it back it does a weird crackling noise. It also does this when i try to add the Mastering effect thats under the "Special" category. Could anyone please help me figure this out and how to fix it? P.S i use a USB snowbal microphone and i do not have an interface.
Any ideas for improving a "froggy" voice that is a bit hoarse or lower than usual, like with a bit of a cold. But not nasal. Maybe more like after recording for an hour if a voice gets a bit rough. Can anything be done about that? Yeah, it's a longshot...
When removing noise from sound file using Adaptive Noise Reduction, it leaves some noise at the beginning! I'm using version 13. I was hoping to get tthis resolved very quickly but Adobe does NOT provide phone support! Also, when increasing the volume of short bursts of sound, it no longer sounds like the original, which is very poor. How can these issues be resolved soon?
So I'm new to Adobe Audition and I can't seem to figure out how to monitor through my headphones while I'm recording. I've figured out how monitor in a multi-track session but does anyone know of a way to monitor in a single track session? TIA
I want to know how to copy one presset from one computer to another ?
I just updated Premiere and Audition to the 2020 version, and now Premiere's 'Edit in Audition" will not create an .sesx file, nor will it open the exported sequence in Auditon. I read that others were having problems with the 'Edit in Audition' being greyed out, and that the issue was fixed by simply reinstalling. I have reinstalled several times, even installed Audition before Premiere, and yet this option still does not work like it once did before I had updated. Has anyone else experienced this same issue?
I work on a podcast which has intros and outros with dramatic drum music on one track and a voice over on another track. Dynamic processing is used to duck the music under the voiceover. On the audition session file it sounds perfect to how we want with the effects applied on the multitrack mixdown. When I export it to a new wave file on my Dell Inspiron 13 7000 laptop the music volume drops out almost completely/sounds muffled. When we export it on my co-worker's desktop from the same file, exact same export settings, the resultant wav file sounds perfect. He opens up my files that I created on the laptop on his PC via drop box and my files all sound like garbage. If I open up his desktop-created files on my laptop, they sound great. What in the Adobe Audition program would account for this where only my laptop seems to not be able to export correctly?
Will the sound stripe plugin be made available to adobe audition? it sure would be a boon to my podcast.
I'm trying to link a file from premier pro in audition but it's not working.here are ths issues so far. the dynamic link is not showing, it is greyed out in premieraudition keeps telling me to link the media, but then i get this issue, it says there is one thing unlinked, when i try to link it i get the yellow error icon. [attached image for better clarity]any assitance i'm not sure what to do.
