Audition

Hi Everyone!Starting a podcast and me and my co-host are testing our equipment. We have a Behringer 1202USB mixer going into our MAC Book Pro with Adobe Audition. We have two Audio Technica 2100 xrl mics. Mic 1 sounds terrific and Mic 2 sounds like the person is far away and in a can. Mic 2 also pics up hissing sounds and other small noises and Mic 1 does not. We've switched mics and put them in every port and which ever mic is the 1st one sounds great so we know it's not the mics. If we have each mic in port 2 and 3 the one in port 2 sounds the best. If we have them in port 3 and 4 the one in port 3 sounds the best. I've checked the settings on the mixer every channel is set the exact same. Is this just a bad mixer or user error? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks:)

I'm running into a frustrating problem.Any time I work on my sesx project files, it seems to want to generate a new file that looks like "test2944682a-e5ca-4dfd-ba45-86ddeee48d18" in the "Creative Cloud Files" Audition 11.0 backup sub-directory. The next time I go to open an sesx, it says that it couldn't remove the test file and that the sesx file cannot be opened. I have to manually delete the test file, THEN open the sesx file. Sometimes I see a test file appear (I'll keep the directory window open) automatically without evening prompting any save, close, or new file. And it seems to want to create new test files instead of updating pre-existing ones, so they accumulate.Im also getting frustrated because I feel like every time I make an adjustment to my project, add a new recording, or edit an existing recording, the project saves duplicates with extended files names that just get longer and longer. It wont just let me "Save". It forces me to "Save as" and throws a fit if I try to o

I use to be able to just load an MP3 file and start hearing my recordings, then I would edit them accordingly.  Now it loads, but it doesn't allow me to hear them (after pressing the play button, nothing happens) Why?

In the company work has been updated the ADOBE AUDITION CC 2015.2 for the new version CC2018. The update has occurred normally and the program is running normally, but the LEVELS METER has a very slow response. When playing an audio the movement of the bars (L and R) is very slow in response, they move slowly. Is there a setting in Audition CC 2018 that allows you to adjust this response speed? Or is this a bug in this new version of Audition? Or is it some Windows 10 setup?The computer where Adobe Audition CC 2018 is installed uses WINDOWS 10 HOME version 1803. In Audition CC 2015.2 the Levels Meter moves at normal speed, its response is fast as it always was, but in CC 2018 it slows down (slow response)Thanks for any advice.

where can I find this file on my mac once I have selected a part of a file in audition and done command c?

Hey folks,Whenever I start Adobe Audition (CC 2018), the audio becomes distorted. The audio quality becomes rather "tinny" and loses its low-end. Whenever I click out of the program - to go to the browser to play a YouTube clip or something - the audio switches back to optimal quality.I'm working on Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.2.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!-Shaun

Im using adobe cc and cannot seem to get panning in multitrack to work. Its hook3d up to a presonus studiolive 24.4 mixer...and all my settings in the mixer are correct. I can pan if i do so on the mixer...but thats just an overall for the entire mix. I can see in auditon when i pan, the meter for the specific track im panning  will show its panned correctly but i still get sound out of both speakers. However, if i pan all the way to the left..the sound cuts completely out. What am i missing here? Can someone tell me what the basic audio setting ls for channel mapping should be...or maybe something else that could be causing this is?

Hi, When I try to launch my Adobe Audition I get a box that states "Adobe Audition could not find a supported audio device. Please check your device settings." I am a bit computer ignorant. What does this mean and how do I handle it?Much thanks, Marc

Are the size of 3rd party vsts embedded in the actual vst or is it adjustable? I just bought the softube volume 2 bundle and loaded the vst and I can barely even see the writing under the knobs. its so bad I had to get close to the monitor and strain my eyes. I searched all over the web, and also on the softube website and cant seem to find an answer. the vst box itself can be adjusted in size..but the only part that gets bigger is the border, thus creating blank space between the actual vst and surrounding border window its in. im using a 4k uhd monitor with windows 10. think its possible this could be due to screen resolution?

I have an alternative rock song I want to sync with a short film, but I have some problems matching the song drums to the video cuts.I am using the audio waveform in Premiere to help me understand better where the drums land so I can make the cuts there.However, because of all the other musical instruments and the voice, the spikes in the waveform for the drums are not evident.I would prefer to remove everything and just leave the drums, to help me do a spot on editing.Is there a way to accentuate the drums in Audition?This is the original song.https://drive.google.com/open?id=11JS-xU7-Jpc-RfdPZgmXd01TwapvN64LThis is my experimentation in removing everything else and accentuating drums, but the drums became muffled and mix in with the noise. I'd like to make a phonetogram* of my voice, in order to analyse what its reach and volume-per-semitone is. Is there an option in Adobe Audition to do this?An example: *A phonetogram displays the dynamic range of the human voice in terms of both fundamental frequency ( pitch ) and intensity (loudness). I recently bought the Zedi10 4x4 audio interface and I'm having some issues setting it up with Audition CC. In the Audio Hardware settings I have it set as a WASAPI device which is the only way I could get it to give me the correct 4 channels in the drop down menu for selecting an input. HOWEVER, when I try to record anything nothing happens. I can check the level of ONLY input 1 and record it in Waveform view but I can't get it to record at all in multi-track. I understand that sometimes there's an issue where if the "Default Stereo Input" is set to "None" then you can't record. Mine says None but I went into the Audio Mapping and it lists the correct device as default. What am I doing wrong here? I want to set this up to deliver the 4 channels in multi-track for podcasting but I can't seem to find and answer. See pictures for more info.

I want to use Audition, MacBook Air and Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 2nd gen to record my radio shows and need to record 3-4 channels.Currently, with Audition, I can only recognize 2 channels. Is there a way to use Audition to record more than 2 channels with this equipment?Thank you and please advise if you've figured it out or know how.

I'm trying to ditch my desktop and all the stuff that plugs into it. I wager my interface is something that I will have to plug in when I want to record. However, is there one most suitable to plugging and unplugging frequently?I am a Windows user, although I change laptops annually it seems. I use Audition 3.0, but I'm fine upgrading if that's what it takes.Thanks!

Will the above work with adobe audition?I have audition cc 11.1.1.3--with windows 7I'm trying to upgrade my audio vo interface--which now consists of a behringer xenyx 1204 connected to the usb adaptor the mixer came with--that usb adaptor seems a bit noisy. So wanted to check before i buy---any help or experiences with this unit would be appreciated--also if you have any other usb interfaces that work well/better--please let me know--as I'm not neccessarily married to the idea of buying THIS one....ThanksTony

Hi,I'm editing spoken audio in Audition CC.How come Audition can't fast forward (while pressing L on timeline) spoken audio without making it sound like Donal Duck (high pitch), while Premiere etc. can do it?Or is there a way around this that I am not aware?

It seems like this should be simple but is it possible? Allow selection of several ranges from the markers window.Right-click on selected ranges to choose "Invert selection"."Ripple delete selection" - will delete each selected range 1 by one from the earliest one until the end.This would allow rapid cleaning/editing of files with hundreds of identified "To keep" marker ranges. Otherwise it is extremely long & tedious. (It would be very useful for editing single recordings for IVR messaging, sometimes 1000s of messages, each a few seconds long - so a few clicks instead of a WEEK's manual labor! ).Inserting into multitrack is not an option as markers are not reinserted, and all the ranges must be exported to separate filesThanks.
