Hi. I'm using Adobe Audition editing an interview podcast. To get the interview in the right length, I first do a long original file, cutting out pauses and misshaps. Then I want to use markers, marking different subjects. Is there a way to get the markers to follow edits, so when I delete a section the markers change start and end position accordingly?
I have the latest mac with required ram and hard drive and cards. As I start to apply effects to my voice over it crashes. What's up?roger
Hello,I'm very new to Audition, but really need to learn it, and fast. I set up three speakers with Lav mics (it's all I have access to right now) and while their vocals are captured great, due to the fact that all three people where around a table, each mic picked up the other person's voice in the background. This lead to a harsh echo once stacked onto each other in Premier. I've tried using a Noise Gate, but it doesn't quite get the job done. Is there another method I can use to clean this up?Edit: Each mic was recorded to it's own audio track. Thank you for your time.-Andrew
Not sure why Adobe locked the below threshold to 100, and disabled the ability to adjust it manually. Has anyone figured out out to fix this? The end points do not work. All it does is add a third end point, which doesn't solve the problem. You use to be able to manually input your thres settings.
Hi all!I'm editing a podcast that was recorded in stereo with the two hosts balanced on opposite channels with the intention of a clean edit. As it is, the hosts were sitting about 6' away from each other and are still audible in the other's microphone. I've split the stereo channel into two mono channels:What I'd planned on doing is making edits and muting clips where a host isn't talking into their microphone, but when I merge the track full of muted and unmuted clips (to begin effects processing), it just unmutes everything and essentially reverts to the original, single clip.My question: Is deleting the clips (like the muted one above) the only way to achieve silence in that section when I merge everything on the track? I really prefer not destroying anything. Thanks!Andrew
I am editing a file. It says that it is modified, but there is nothing to undo and no entry in history. Since I don't know what the change was, I want to undo it.If I try to close the file without saving, it says it will be set to offline in multitrack sessions. I think that just means I would have to relink them. But, I would have to go check to see what multi track sessions are referencing the file, or wait for some day in the future when I would hopefully find out that some file is offline so that I could relink it.Is there a way to get around this other then look for offline files after closing? I just want to revert the changes that have not already been saved.
Quiero cambiar el idioma de adobe audition CS6 de ingles a español como puedo hacerle? no encuentro ningun parche, ayuda por favor, gracias.
Over 90% of my work involves recording and editing mono files. Having used Audition CC for a year, I've now gone back to CS6. The plugins I use are generally only EQ and dynamics, and no plugins are ever "live" during recording or editing. My I/O buffer is set at a good balance between record and playback performance, 512 samples. What I'm noticing is what seems to be a bit of sluggishness when scrubbing; dragging the cursor through the audio. I've looked around to see what settings I can change in hopes of improving this, but I've run out of ideas. Can anyone offer any suggestions, please? Thanks.
I'm putting together my film's audio including the camera audio and lav mics and have read and watched a lot of tutorials of which many recommend for example normalizing the audio for all peaks to -3 db and then some say for tv the audio peak should be -12 db and some say - 24 db so go figure ? 2. Anyway, my common sense would tell me not to normalize the audio to for example - 3 db or some other fixed number because that would mean that a normal quiet dialogue speech would be peaking at the same loudness to the listener than somebody shouting which would not make sense, correct ? So if that's the case would the solution be to have to go over each audio clip manually and make sure for example normal talk dialogue would peak out consistently for example in the -10 db range and loud scenes to max out peak out in the - 3db range ?3. I recorded the actors' audio with xlr mic lavs stereo not mono to a tascam audio recorder but for some reason on the Adobe Audition timeline it co
So I have my mic set up to utilize the 'Adaptive Noise Reduction' effect to cut out excess background noise, and for the most part, it works like a charm. The way I have it set up is I have Audition open and in the Audio Hardware settings, I run my microphone in through the "Default Input". I then have the "Adaptive Noise Reduction" with latency at 50 ms which cancels out any excess background noise. Finally, for my default output, I have "Audio Virtual Cable" so that way it takes the filtered audio from Audition and uses it in Discord or OBS or any application that I'm speaking into (I set the default microphone for those applications to "Audio Virtual Cable").Unfortunately, every so often, people I'm talking to tell me that I've "gone robotic" - aka, the mic becomes extremely choppy. Here's an example of this:https://vocaroo.com/i/s0bjkrOZnbhV At the beginning, everything is working fine with Audition filtering out background noise and my voice coming through clear as day. Hello all, I have two questions. I'm relatively new to the DAW/Adobe Audition software and was wondering if there was a way to connect my either my SP404SX or my Maschine MK2 and use them as a controller to better trigger my samples? Also if these two samplers wouldn't work is there any specific sampler/keyboard that works with Adobe Audition? Thanks for your time and assistance
When I export multitrack projects I get a file that starts with silence, but after about 20 sek. a repetitive noise starts and gets louder and louder.I've tested many options, but it seems that there is a bug in the envelope-function. Whenever I apply keyframes on an envelope from the effect rack, this happens. If I delete the keyframes it exports OK.This used to work very well, so there must be some kind of error in the upgrade(?)I have Build 11.0.0.199.
Hi,I've got a clip url attached where i want to improve the audio quality as there is what I can only describe (no audio techie here) a hiss at the high end of y speech. Can someone kindly help me adjust / help me understand what I need to tweak. The original effect did include multi compressor and noise cancelling when recorded.ThanksRob.https://www.dropbox.com/s/3tczdp6flqo4n8m/Weird%20hissing.wav?dl=0
Hello everybody,I have Adobe Audition CC (version Build 11.0.0.199) and I would like to use it for singing records and listening them in live in my headphones.I've already connected the microphone to my Mac, as well as the headphones and then I've set the Hardware Audio entry on the microphone and the output on the headphones. Until now, everything's good. The problem is the following:when I press on "write" and then "record", the moment from which I sing and the moment when I actually hear my voice in the headphones is about 1 second delayed. How can I eliminate this annoying delay? It's like I sing in the middle of a canyon.Waiting for a response, here are some data on the devices in use.Microphone:Trust All Round USBMicrophone MicoHeadphones:Beats SoloModel: B0518iMac Information:iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015;Processor: 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5;Memory: 8GB 1867 MHz DDR3;Graphic Card: AMD Radeon R9 M380 2GBThank You all!

Title should explain it all. But it recorded one audio file and after that it keeps saying "Cannot start recording with current settings" (or something like that). Point is though, I haven't even touched the settings and it won't work. Could it be that possibly my subscription is out? If so, i feel like i would've gotten an email if it was. I really need some help guys! Thanks!
I'm so puzzled. I was working on a session yesterday, everything was fine. Today? Everything's gone and is replaced by the one file left in my "Imported Media" folder.
