I saw a great tutorial on Youtube about the Adobe Audition 2018 ability to remove the unwanted backround noise (or ac hiss hum) without affecting the actor's voice, however this new noisegate effect did not work. I tried it multiple times to remove the background ac hiss but the dialogue just starts cutting off , I have a Windows 10 with pro computer with no soundcard. The peak for the bg hiss is -32 so i set it to -30 and played with different values as well and changed things around but not working ? This would definitely be a needed effect because as simple as it sounds the traditional noise removal doesn't really do the job even after multiple passes without affecting the actor's voice.
I did a podcast for the first time the other day with 3 people and all went well. I was wanting to know how I get all three mics to work simultaneously in multitrack? When I play them back one mic works and another two sound really distant. I want them all to work while layered under each other during the podcast. Thanks for the help!
I recorded a band (20 separate channels) I now want to go back and mix it with the sliders and have audition save my slider positions as the music is playing back. For example when a guitar solo happens, I want to bring the guitar up a little and other things down a little. I don't want to manually add keyframes. I'm sure I'm missing something simple. Is this possible?I hope I was clear. Let me know if I wasn't.Thanks,Dean
Hello! My problem is that I can´t set-up (and find in list) my LINE-IN as default hardware for recording... I have WIN 10, where is the problem?!
Hello,I want to make a 5.1 upmix from audio stems the person gave me (dial/ score / sfx) I imported 6 files. When I use the track panner I do hear the audio (panning from left to right etc). However under audio channel mapping I only have two device channels 1 &2 because I don't have 5.1 hardware/drivers.My question is will I be able to make/create/export a 5.1 mix without having the 6 speakers on my computer? Any channel mapping options for my 6 files?T.Y.on CS 6 - Adobe CS 6 PR doesn't have a Dolby digital export option so I'm just using AU/ imac
HELP! IT´S URGENT!Well, since the first time I bought Adobe Audition, I could record perfectly, but with the latest upgrade, when I was trying to record my guitar again, the sound is comming late to my headphones and I DON´T KNOW WHAT TO DO, I must deliver something tomorrow and until now, I can´t fix this.PLEASE TELL ME THE STEPS TO FOLLOW!Thanks,Gabriel
Let me preface by saying I am very much a newbie to both the recording and editing. I recorded an interview with my Tascam Dr-40 into MP3 format. If I listen to the raw MP3 data, the recording is low volume but fine otherwise. The recording volume was a misstep on my part. When I upload it to Adobe Audition, on Waveform, as is without adjusting the volume, it again sounds low volume but fine. When I flip it over to the Multitrack, it is louder and has this high pitch metallic-ish sound throughout. Turning up the volume back in Waveform I can hear it as well but is there anyway to get rid of it? What am I looking for as I zoom into the recording as to what that sound is?
I hear it fine on it's own but can not get it on track in software Where do I go Devices?
How do I slow the playback speed of a clip?DocSmokey
I just started using audition and I have a good computer. Windows 10 64 bit. 32 gig of rams and it's running off a half a gig solid state drive. None of my resources are maxing out in the monitors. I am barely at 5% of my computers potential. What do I need to do? It just says not responding how do I get a crash report?
Regarding the help page here: Waveform Editor diagnostics effects for Audition Under the section "Delete Silence and Mark Audio options"It says:Fix By (Delete Silence only) .. "Choose Deleting Silence to mute silent passages but retain file length. (Deleting silence helps maintain video synchronization with audio clips in video editing applications.)"However, when I use this option the file length is shortened and my video file is now out of sync with the audio file.I tried installing all versions that were available to download in the Creative Cloud application and all behaved this way for me.Has this option been changed? If so is there a way to still do this without manually selecting each section?
I have to edit a podcast every week with 4 tracks. They are all in sync with each other, but the audio is not in sync with the levels that I see in Audition. So if I want to cut out some parts, I have to listen and kind of guess where to cut, in stead of seeing the part I can cut out. It's really annoying and I'd like to fix it. It happens every time, I already tried using a mac instead of windows, which did not help, still got the problem. I now use Audition CC on a Mac.I hope someone can help! Thanks a lot!
Au 2018 will not open and I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. I have also tried installing 2017 again and it does not open either. I meet all system requirements and have no issue with any other Adobe program. I am running PC with a 64 bit, Win 7, 64gb ram. When I open, it stalls on "Initializing (AuBackend)"
Hi guysI edit using the CC suite and find it a little annoying how Premiere and Audition don't behave in the same way. Is there a way of changing this in the settings of Audition? In Premiere, with the cursor anywhere on the timeline, if I hold alt then do a two finger gesture on the track pad I can zoom in and out horizontally. This is a shortcut I'm used to because I mainly edit video these days. When I use Audition, I can only achieve this when the cursor is on the time bar at the top of the timeline. If I try to do the same with the cursor on the timeline itself, it zooms vertically. Is there a way of changing this so alt+trackpad is horizontal zooming everywhere so I don't scream at my mac every time I use Audition?I know there's the alt-+ keyboard shortcut but I'd prefer to use the trackpadThanks
I'm running Adobe Audition on a PC with Windows 10 and have been for quite some time with no issue. After updating to Adobe Audition CC 2018 I started experiencing an issue where one of my tracks is out of sync with the other tracks. 3 tracks were recorded through Audition on someone else's computer (a podcast with 3 mics). That person has not installed the recent update. When I opened the session to edit one of the vocal tracks was out of sync. I tried moving it around and syncing it up visually but strangely the audio would start ahead of the waveform. In other words the visual of the waveform and the audio on all tracks were not synced. So instead I moved the 3rd track around and synced it up with the rest of the tracks by ear. All seemed fine until I exported. When listening to my exported MP3 the third track was out of sync again. To fix it I had to go back to my session and place the 3rd track out of sync again and only then would the exported file be in sync. Weird.I checked the
Hello, I'm trying to create a script to open a wav file, open file info, change info in the "cart" field, then save.Possible? Any help is appreciated.
This is what it looks like.. I am connected from the board to my laptop.. Everything is connected correctly, but can't record.

I posted this question about 2 years ago and am still waiting with breathless anticipation. Please see these 2 files: Learning Material in my Google Drive[Note: If you want to hear the congas, soprano, etc. you have to download the 'About this Non-Negative Business' PDF file]According to the author of the most advanced research in source separation: Paris Smaragdis :: ECE ILLINOIS Paris' Personal Web PageParis Smaragdis, in an e-mail that he kindly sent me, he expected the awesome features that he has developed to be included in the production version of Audition "within two years".TIA-Raymond
Please correct me: I'd been led to believe that recording in waveform mode does not write the recording to a disk until recording stops and file is saved, but recording in multi-track mode WILL write the recording to disk as the recording progresses. Are both of those statements true? The manual states: "In the Multitrack Editor, Adobe Audition automatically saves each recorded clip directly to a WAV file." Is that what this means?I frequently record material in excess of 20 minutes or more and need to be confident that at least a good portion of a recording can be retrieved if something stops the recording process without my knowledge (I record away from the computer).Thanks.
I recently updated 11.0.0.199 and now when I import a new track a box pops up that says'Audition has detected a problem with the current audio hardware settings'I then click on 'Audio Hardware' and it jumps over to the Audio Hardware menu, and then I can x out and everything works fine. But how can I avoid having to do that every time?
When I go to 'Export Session' in the most recent Adobe Audition version, it no longer 'groups' the session under the same folders, but I have to manually click the down arrow select the correct folder. The older version would do this automatically.Any insights on how I can make this happen?
The 'Format Settings' upon export of MP3s keeps reverting to 192 Kbps instead of 'last used' as was the case before the update. It is a pain to have to change the format settings every time...Is there any way to solve this?
Hi there! I have several different clips recorded at the same time. I wish to simply edit the one clip and then just import, save, and export the rest without having to edit them each all over again. I went to File>Export> but Session template was not a viable option. How can I fix this? Thanks!
