Audition

Hey all,I'm fairly new to using Audition, and I've noticed that when I'm recording an audio channel, videos in my web browsers (like YouTube or Twitch) stop playing. When I un-check the record box in audition and refresh the webpage the video begins playing normally again. Does anyone else know of this or how to fix it/stop it from happening? It seems very strange to me. Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to record a track and just recently downloaded Audition. When I create a new audio file and record, if i jump up pitch just slightly then it jumps up more as if there was already autotune. I'm trying to record pure natural vocals and for whatever reason they are enhanced the second I record them? Does anybody have a fix for this.. maybe it's in some settings I don't yet know about? Help is appreciated!

hii need to record from a pro usb microphone voice ,  and i need to record a friend of mine that plays violin with another expensive usb microphone on a different audio project (in short  i need to do 3 different job with 3 different hardware )1) for a job i need to record only voice2) about the vionil performance separate job , i need to record only violin no voice ,different microphone , no mix , need to record only her pre-audiition3) third job rip some vinylsand i want to rip some vinyls via usb ,a friend of mine give me for a while a pro-ject usb vinyl playernow , when i start audition cc and create a new audio file , i can select sample rate ,chanenels and bit depthok the default issample rate 44100channels stereobit of depth 32(float )i guess it's a good idea keep bit of depth 32float maybe for voice recording i can select monobut about sample rate ?about voice , violin and usb pro-ject player should i keep 44100 or raise to 48000 or up?seeing i will edit these filesas

Hello all,I have just opened up Audition CC 2014 and got this error dialog. "Audition's primary temp volume cannot be found. Please review Audition's disk cache preferences"Would I be right in saying this error has occurred because the disk cache hasn't been created properly when it loaded? When I look in Preferences > Media & Disk Cache > Primary Temp, I see that the link is pointing to version 6. Am I supposed to create this folder myself? I am a bit confused. I'd appreciate any help here.Cheers,Ben.

Was wondering why the volume of a sequence was so loud in Audition and realized that volume of each clip had its volume keyframe bar set almost a third higher than normal in Premiere. Needless to say i'd like to know how to stop this from happening so i can actually work on the sequence from the baseline established in the Premiere sequence.

Hello everyone!I had a weird problem when exporting dual mono from Audition. I need to get dual-ch mono track with absolutely identical L & R channels, matching -23 lufs.After using Match Loudness I got an excellent result. Here it is:All indicators in both columns are identical.But after saving or exporting file i got a different result:Minimum RMS Amp and Dynamic Range values differs for the left and right channels. I've already tried conert to mono, then back to stereo + match loudness. No result.Is there any way to fix this? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I'm not sure if I'm the only one this is happening to but when I downsample to 8k, my .wav's are constantly filled with artifact-static when peaks rise (not clipping), when somebody took the same file and downsampled in SoX, the .wav didn't have the same "artifact" qualities. Then had QA show me, and insert face-palm here. Made sure that "Quality" was at 100% too. The last thing I want to do is ditch Audition, but if this keeps happening, I'll have to!I'm downsampling from 48k to 16k for telephone prompts (updating system to 16k!) I still need to maintain the older systems (8k) and whenever I downsample to 8k from 48k, I get this problem. As I'm sure you can guess, I don't have that problem when going to 16k. Any advice will help

Hello,Where can we find a clear recommendation for storage (system, media, project...) on a desktop system. There's a general system requirement page but does not exactly explain project storage recommendation. Is the general practice for a secondary media drive enough reference? For example, can we look follow recommendation of other DAW like ProTools?Thanks!

Hi,I'm working on a documentary where I need to change one voice so it can't be recognizable BUT also so that no one can put the voice back into an audio program to tweak it back to normal. If that makes sense.I'm currently using "Pitch Shifter" in Audition (also found other posts about it) but wondering if that's enough? Thoughts?Thanks!

Hey Community! I've been having a problem capturing clean audio on a production I was on. We thought it was the compressor, but turns out it's something else that our broadcast gear was doing. The product in question is a the Tricaster 860. I'm going to post a picture of the audio and the weird wave patterns it produced. What i need help with is finding out what that weird pattern is and what could've caused it. The problem is the audio sounds fine and then sounds like the speaker put his hand over the mic to muffle it (which he didn't). If you look close you can see a DNA looking strand in the audio.  Thanks for your help

A couple of months ago I lost all my effect rack presets simply because I held down shift while opening Audition. Now a former of colleague of mine has all of his presets for no apparent reason. They're just all gone. The same goes for his Batch Process favorites. My colleague tried replacing the effectpresets.xml in the 10.0 folder with an old one he had backed up, but it's like Audition doesn't register the file because none of his old presets show up.So is there a way to actually make back ups of your presets? Both the effect rack ones and the batch processing ones?

Are there any CC 2017 users out there that have had success installing IK Multimedia's ARC 2?  I've had some serious troubles trying to get this software installed, and in particular, using the VST plugin within CC2017.   Here are the error messages that I continue to get: 1st Error MessageError titled: dvaaudiofilterscan.exeThe procedure entry point mkl_blas_dlarfx could not be located in the dynamic link library mkl_core.dll.2nd Error MessageError titled: DLL ErrorCan't Load C:\Program Files\IK Multimedia\ARC System 2\ARC 2.vpa64Support Area: IK Multimedia USAProduct: (ARC System 2) System: Windows 7 64bit - , Host: Audition - CC 2017, Any help would be appreciated.Thanks!

Hi...I just tried to restart audition after a hard reboot, and it gave me an error that it couldn't access my recovery files because they were incomplete or corrupt or whatever.  I'd had several audio files open and a couple of sesx files.  I'd like to be able to recover the lot, if possible, but as far as I've been able to find out Audition only keeps the most-recent recovery file (i.e.: the corrupt/incomplete one), and I might be SOL in that regard. Audition 5.0 has stored about a hundred 4GB files on this computer (all titled something along the lines of: Audition5Tempxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx) in the specified Disk Cache location.  I have no idea what format these temp files are in; they are simply of type "file" according to the OS.  It starts a new one whenever I launch Audition.  I've tried various things where I delete or restore or rename the most recent ones to see if I can trick Adobe into default to an earlier session, but no luck. 

So, 7 months ago i've tried to remove vocals from Tarja Turunen's songmore specifically, i've been focusing on "Innocence"a long time ago i did remove them kinda nicely with Fruity Loops, but a week ago i returned and i tweaked FL and removed even more, but the instrumentals got a bit "noisy and hard" instead of smooth and clearSo i tried Audition, when i used the channel extractor as the video said, i was surprised, but then i began to realize the errorsthere is a muffled backtrack that accompanies her voice, and when it reaches a certain volume, the muffle stop and her voice appears for a secondso i think that's probably her voice, so i used the acapella track to extract her voice, and the drums and piano were still there, but worse, the muffle was also there, i don't know what it is but it's annoying me a loti'm an extreme noob in this software, and i'm very frustrated because i've tried 3 different softwares to remove the vocals on this song, which is one of the most important song

Hi People,I'm getting display errors in Mac's "finder" (file explorer) and display render errors in Quicktime as well, for pretty much all MP3's I master in Audition.First of all, listed in the Finder, most all time "Duration" entries are wrong.  Often there's 20 seconds or more of "silence" added to the end of the recording - which is not part of the actual file, when opened in an audio editing program (like Adobe Audition).  Some of the timings are way off, like an 8 minute song listed as 45 minutes.Then when these files are opened in Quicktime, there are further discrepancies. For the 8 minute song listed above (noted as 45 minutes in Finder), Quicktime displays total length as 9:02, adding a full minute of silent play at the end of the 8 minutes of true audio. The WAV or AIFF files, before converted, show the correct duration in Finder, and as well are rendered accurately in Quicktime.Thanks for any suggestions as to why this might be happening.  Not sure if it's an

Hi guys !With Adobe Audition CC 2017 how can I select to select several parts in the same trackand low the volume of all those selected parts at once ?For example :I do VoiceOver and I just want to low all my breathings at once but not silence them completely, because it creates a vacuum.And I don't want to use a plugin as DeBreathe (I have it) than can alterate the recording.So now I low them one by one manually.I would like to select several breathings at the same time and low all their volume at once.The best thing would be to have Adobe Auditions selecting them automatically like  it is with :Select "Effects > Diagnostics > Delete Silence (process)"  "Scan"  "Delete All" .But instead of "delete" them, we could just low their db volume at once.That would be nice.Anyway, in the meanwhile, here is my question again :How can I select select several parts in the same trackand low the volume of all those selected parts at once ?Thanks a lot for your help.(I hope I'm

Hi, I run/edit a podcast called Relative Paths. I always struggle with a certain situation and after 50 episodes I thought I better ask for some help/advice! Hopefully you can see the screeny below.We have 'Mark' my co-host on track 1, me on track 2. Both these are routed to 'Hosts' Bus on track 3. Track 3 sends to a Dynamic Processing effect on Track 4 to provide some voice ducking.  Both voice recordings have been processed with 'Match Loudness' -20 LUFS / -1 dBTP and neither peaks when playing individually. As you can see from Track 3 though, I get summing / peaking on the Bus output. What would you recommend for making sure I don't get nasty peaky distorty (tech terms ) horribleness when both Mark and I laugh at something (He's a funny guy). I've played with 'Speech Volume Leveller' effect on individual tracks or on the Bus but that also does some amplification. Should I be investigating hard limiting, or compression? If there's a totally different / better way to set this up

Please forgive me.. I am a COMPLETE technological biff so if you ask me technical questions I will probably have issues answering them, which may make things more challenging!  I have been recording quite happily both waveform and multitrack but yesterday, I went to start a new file and it has stopped recording sound.  The record button works and starts the file but it is not recording any noise.  The setup has not changed and I have logged out and restarted.  I literally have no idea why it is not working.  It is playing back previously recorded files but not letting me record into those either.Hoping that this is a quick fix to something that I have inadvertently pressed/turned off/have not idea aboutThanks for your timeFrustrated!

Hi there,I know it's simple but I'm trying to find the method to copy an entire session to further along my timeline on all it's original tracks. When I tried already, it pasted tracks in a onto different lines . (I have 4 bus tracks as 1,2,3,4 so not sure if that makes a difference).Thanks for your help.

I recorded a video but had background noise..is there a way to turn down the volume of the background noise?  I'm at a restaurant.

I make and edit opera videos, and a company with which I work moved into a new venue this spring.I own a Sony FDR-AX100 and the company rented two more so I can effectively do 4K three-camera video, then use Premiere Pro CC 2017 to edit a multi-camera shoot. It's very hard work but the results are much better than anyone expected!The audio separation using on-camera mikes from the left and right (unmanned) cameras is much better than that I get from the sound engineer, and I would like to use it. The problem I have is that the theater has a loud air-handler system. Applying the newly released adaptive noise reduction feature (or, for that matter, the now-obsolete approach - I've tried both), much is improved - but in softer orchestral moments (CARMEN Act 3 Intermezzo with a duet for harp and flute as a good example) the instruments sound almost under water.
