Does anyone get this problem?
I made several shorts of a classic aircraft making low level passes, it was so low and loud the soundtrack clipped (looking at the envelope)I don't mind that, as even clipped 4 x Merlin's sound amazing, what I do want to improve is the two viewers in front of me yay woo ing over the Merlins.Canon EOS 5D MKII and Rode stereo video mic worked really well. I'm an absolute beginner with Prem Pro but getting to grips with it.Does anyone know of a method of cutting out the speech from a sound track, effectively erasing that part, I am sure this is possible but don't know how.Nothing against the cheering but I really think the engines should be clear of comment, Happy that then end of the clip spectators clap but would like to take out the spurious cheers.Any suggestions?
How do I add Cart Chunk data to wave files using CS5.5. Need for radio automation (Rivendell). Have Metadata RIFF but nothing fills the Cart Title needed for Cart Chunk. Thanks!
I use a Mackie Big Knob Studio monitor controller to switch between headphones and monitors on a 2013 Mac Pro.The Mackie BKS controller is a USB plug and play device. It just works... or did.I updated to High Sierra (unwittingly) and discovered that my current setup no longer works. The Mackie USB still shows up in the Output/Input list in System Preferences/Sound/ but, selecting it does nothing. No sound comes out. I do get sound if I use the default system sound.I realize this isn't exactly an Adobe Audition problem... but, I was hoping someone in the Audio Engineering world has either run in to a similar problem, or is willing to help me out.Mackie's forum is non-existent—but I don't believe they caused the problem. I posted on Apple's forum, the agency responsible for the problem, but haven't heard anything back.I really prefer the Adobe Forum community, so I'm hoping someone else here might have some insights on this.
Since the update to CC2018, every time I normalise an audio clip in PP (to say -12db), prior to editing the multitrack in Audition, on opening Audition I get a warning to say I'm trying to use a clip set to more than +15db and that Audition needs to mess with it to take it down to +15db.Once it's then open it plays absolutely as normal.I'm sure I'm just being dumb somewhere, but can anyone explain this, or is it a bug?The audio in question is recorded on my Sennheiser radio mics, with the sensitivity set to -30db. I then have to normalise the clips up so that they are audible without putting my amp volume up to 11.Computer is MacPro 5,1 6core 3.33GHz, 48GB RAM, GTX680 Mac GPU, OSX 10.13.1 (High Sierra), Adobe CC fully updated to latest versions. My Mac is very solid and High Sierra is working very well for me.Thanks for any suggestions.Dominic
I use a Focusrite Scareltt 2i2 Second Gen to connect to my MacBook Pro. Before I updated, I could record in multitrack with no delay in my monitoring. Now it's unusable. When I change the buffer settings it gets better but not much. Is there some option I am missing here?
So, I searched all over online for answers and then for forums, and this is the only forum that appears to be active that may be able to help me out. It's related to Cool Edit Pro 2.0.I've been using CEP since 2003 (yeah I know, time to upgrade. I have, but I always go back). I've never run into this problem before.I got a new PC recently, and had my guitarist come over this weekend to get some tracks recorded. The session plays perfectly fine, but when I hit record, it'll record, but wont play any of the other pre-existing tracks. Nothing is muted or solo'd. It literally doesn't even show music playing down in the monitor level section. But when I'm just playing the music, it's fine..At first, I thought maybe it was a Windows 10 problem, but then I remembered I recently recorded my singer on my laptop, which also has Windows 10. So I don't know what the issue is.Any thoughts?
I’ve been searching for an answer to this problem and can’t seem to locate a solution. I do a lot of podcast editing in CS5.5. When editing a Multitrack audio, the file often times switches to Waveform when I left-click the mouse. This has occurred when adding a splice, and, when I attempt to click and drag an audio clip. Sometimes, it takes several attempt to perform this task in a Multitrack screen, without it bouncing to Waveform. Any idea what causes this and how to make it stop doing that?
I am missing the FFT filter window - i frequently used it, but now it does not pop up anymore when I click to get it.The border (I'm on Windows) does highlight, or even blink, to indicate something else opened / moved focus to another window. Nothing happens.I can still open other windows such as the Stretch And Pitch effect window...What can I do to get it back?
What is the best way to import RED Camera footage into Audition? I only want to work with the audio and I am not an experienced editor! I'd like to skip Premiere and just work with the audio from the Red footage in Audition. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hi guys,I have a major problem with my recorded audio file. I uploaded my MacBook last week and my recordings on audition was lost when I opened the program. I tried to find them, and eventually did, but I can't open them. What's the problem? It looks like this:
To all the german Speakers!hey Leute, bin nicht so gut in rechtlichem Englisch.
Hello everyone,I have set up a favorite a couple of months back. Amplify ---> -o.3dBWhen reactivating Audition to work on another project, I tried using this favorite again on some .ogg voice over files with 48 kHz sample rate, mono. This is when the error message "The favorite cannot be applied to this file" pops up.A screenshot can be found here:https://drive.google.com/open?id=1JJBztpXf0UJYYEYAHF1AMqSUNTZnqJuvI wasn't able to find anything about this error online so far.Any help/comments appreciated.Cheers,Philipp
Hi, Im not sure how to ask this. I am looking to stop a song midway though its playing and holding the last note for a couple of seconds while I add an echo and or delay. I hear a lot of songs that end this way, but I want to try to shorten the song yet get the same echoy ending. Anybody understand this.
So I'm in the middle of converting hundreds of WAV's to M4A's for a project I'm working on, and after updating to CC 2018, now it's broken - I'm now getting :"An error occurred when saving the file to disk. The destination may be full or no longer available" with a red exclamation symbol next to the file(s) concerned. The disk is a NAS (I've also tried local) and now, as others have found, I can't roll back to CC 2017 - I have installed CS6 which works, but now looking for another solution quick smart - Adobe, get this fixed !
This is a very bizarre issue, but it's happened to me twice on two separate recordings and is a bit of a problem. I record a podcast directly through Audition via a USB recording interface. I've noticed that at a seemingly random point towards the end of the recording, the recorded content seems to have been sped up. It lasts for a few seconds and then returns back to the normal speed. It's like a 2x fast forward was applied during the recording and is now baked into the recording itself. My recordings feature two separate tracks for two voice inputs. The speed up occurs on both tracks.I've had this happen on two separate recordings - totally separate project files. Furthermore, these two recordings were actually done on two completely different USB interfaces as well, so I'm certain it's not the interfaces (neither of which have the option to do anything like what I'm hearing). I'm not sure if this is related either, but occasionally if Audition loses program focus, the recording will
The version Audition CC 2017 presents a problem with use of Broadcast multiband compressor. The message says: The pre-established adjust "Broadcast"is not downloaded properly. I use an IMac. I uninstalled the app and installed again the same app, but the problem remains. Could you help-me about this problem? I thank you your attention. Joan
I make changes on a specific audio track using the track panner feature, but then when I export it my changes are not there in the export. I've tried googling and reading resources but nothing seems to come up. Anyone know what might be going on?
Hiya,I'm running Audition CC v11.0.0.199. Windows 10 home 64 bit build 15063Processor: i7-4720HQ 2.6 ghzMemory: 8192mb RAMPage: 13618 used 2022mb available.I'm recording through a Roland Rubix 44. After around 20 minutes of multitrack recording, the recording just stops and I can't figure out why. I can restart the recording fine and it'll carry on for another 20ish minutes and then stop again without any input on my behalf. There is plenty of space on the disk.I'm running 4 mics through the Roland Rubix 44 and Audition is showing this as 'Roland Rubix' in 'device' in the audio hardware settings under the 'ASIO' device class. Does anyone have any thoughts? I'm struggling to come up with a solution. Thanks in advance!
I'm really new to this and it may seem like a dumb question but is there any way in Audition to highlight a certain sound within a track so it's pointed out every tine that sound occurs. Long story short i have to look over an hour of audio.
I am running Audition CC on my Windows 7 on a computer that has more than enough specs to run this program. The problem is, every time I go to record, the track I listen to in my headphones doesn't play for about 30 seconds into the recording and then starts to play. I have checked latency issues, audio hardware, and I still have no clue. When I hit the play button, I can head just fine, but when I hit record, no sound for 30 seconds. Any ideas?
I run my own business producing TV commercials. They are fine for the most part but I am never entirely happy with the audio mix once I see them on TV. I am completely aware of requirements and procedures for ensuring the audio is broadcast compliant. They all pass the Quality checks at every tv station. But to me the audio just doesn't have the punch of other commericals. I have a great set of monitors and do an audio check after final export.I have searched high and low for tutes or information about MIXING for broadcast but it is virtually non-existent. Currently I'll use the mid-enhancer and tweak each track a little. I was applying the broacast audio filter, with db cut at -4 for music and -3.5 for voiceovers but I find it gives each track a hard edge that grates the ear.Can anyone please point in my the direction of an appropraite tutorial or just give me some pointers.Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.[Moderator note: Audition forum will have the better expert
When I'm doing a multitrack session mix down export, it keeps resetting the mp3 to 192 kbps and I need my default to be at 256 kbps. Any ideas?
