Audition

Is there a way to enter a custom sampling rate (i.e., not from the pull-down list available in CS6)? For example, can I set the sampling rate to be a particular value (e.g., 15.625 KHz or even 7.8125 KHz).The reason is I don't want to down-sample and up-sample the WAV files. I want to reduce conversions and transcoders as much as possible in the recording path to match the audio signature with what is being sent between hardware devices I'm working with.

Can someone advise on a problem I'm having with Audition, the removal of a single click ? I have audition 2105cc and 2017cc,  I'm not able to it get to work. My experience goes Cool Edit 2000 and all that was necessary, was to highlight the click, and then mouse click the Single click removal button and everything worked OK!  I'm getting a box that says "creating preview sequence" and nothing seems to happen ?

When editing our podcast I'm struggling to find a solution for removing bleed thats coming through the hosts ear buds. The signal is too high to remove with a gate so I end up having to go in and manually silence out all of the bleed sections which as you can appreciate takes a while. Whats the best solution for dealing with bleed that can't be removed with a gate?

I'm working in current Audition CC. Perhaps it is my misunderstanding of how grouped clips work but when I group clips is so they stay in the exact same spot in relation to one another so if I move one they all move together, meaning they are sort of locked to one another. I was looking for a way to when cropping a clip to quickly delete that new middle clip and bridge the gap created instantly so I don't have to delete and move the tracks manually. Ripple delete seems to do exactly that but then suddenly I noticed that it moves the clip to the right of the gap to bridge the gap on the track I'm editing but the clips grouped to this moving clip on other tracks are not shifting with it, basically shifting the structure of the grouped clips I tried to maintain by grouping tem to begin with.Am I missing something? Is there a way to force lock clips together to one another that nothing other than cropping/slicing will be able to mess with? Is there an alternative to ripple delete that achi

Hello, has anyone had problems with Macos Sierra? I need to import XML Files for Final Cut X but it wont let me till I upgrade my software. I work with Audition 2017 every day and I just want to make sure that if I do the upgrade my Audition will keep working ok.Does anyone has done it?Thank you.Luis

I've been tracking a professional EP for the  past 3 weeks and every day I encounter a condition where Audition is recording a single track and upon playback the track is misaligned with drift occurring over the course of the recorded track - meaning I cannot make a single re-alignment and have a good track because the drift occurs irregularly during the take leaving multiple points where time warping has occurred. No errors are indicated such as lost sample detected. It is only upon playback that the defect is detectable. I have thrown massive amounts of hardware at the issue and even now with an extraordinarily capable machine I still get the issue after a couple hours of contiguous use of Audition which has led me to suspect the root cause is Audition itself not freeing resources and / or effectively managing memory (cache and /or RAM) during certain events where flushing and resetting should occur. MACHINE: MIcrosoft Surface Pro 3OS:  Windows 10Interface:  Tascam US-16x08When I updated to the most recent version of Audition (CC2017), something changed & now whenever I connect my interface, I can't record tracks.Everything is powered up correctly, & I get levels on any/every channel that I run through the Tascam.None of these channels are sending to the master, which results in nothing actually being captured.Help!

Looking for an easy (and quick) way to set the Intro Time: and Seque Time: in CS6 Audition. I see the mouse scroll time settings under RIFF but want to capture (or copy) the time on the fly to set those timers. None of the markers correspond to those timers and manually setting those times is counterintuitive to us radio types.

I've got the Behringer q1202USB mixerI've hooked up 2 XLR mics to this mixer and i want to record 2 seperate tracks but i can't figure it out both mics always record into the same channel.Help me please

So I'm working with a multi-track for that has about 3 voice tracks and 3 music beds on it. When I go to save the whole session, two really weird things happen with the music beds.1. The left channel loses the original audio and is replaced just with a LOUD, constant static noise. Like when you would find a channel on the television that wasn't tuned to anything and it just showed the "white snow" screen. That kind of static sound. In the picture below, the red horizontal line in the left channel is where the static comes in. So you can tell it's not constant, only where there is audio present in the right channel.2. It deletes some of the original audio in both channels. I've provided a picture to show this. The audio should be constant. It is a music bed. Also, I didn't add those green lines in the left channel. I have no idea where they came from either.:As you can tell, I don't really know how to explain the problem. Much less fix it. I am having issues with Adobe Audition CC the latest version and OSX Sierra on them Mac working together. The playhead will not move at all and I cannot get any levels to come into the program. Any help?

I currently have Adobe Audition CC.When I try to record something (in multi track) with other tracks, like instrumentals, I can't hear the other tracks.But, if I start playing the tracks first and then hit record, I can record and hear the other tracks.Is there a way that when I hit record, I can record and hear the other tracks at the same time? I've been having trouble opening up audition on my laptop. when I click on the icon, the picture for audition shows up, but also a message box shows up saying "Audition cannot enter preference folder, please make sure current user has the read/write permission to the preference folder". My question, how do I fix this problem? what are the steps to do so?

Is there a filter (or combination of filters) in Audition that will do what the Auphonic service does?This is what Auphonic claims to do: Auphonic Audio Examples I have taken multitrack mixdowns, and loaded them into Auphonic. The mixdowns consist of audio recorded in a studio, with multiple performers, using different microphones. But there always seem to be a noticeable difference in the levels for each performer. When I give the multitrack mixdown to Auphonic, it sounds a lot better, and the performers sound like they belong together. And the loudness sounds a lot better.Below is an after-before comparison.Is there an easy way for an idiot like me to do the same thing in Audition?Thanks!

Hello there!I am relatively new to Audition. I would like to make a beat that was recorded in a live preformance fit the beat grid exactly. As there was no metronome or so, the music is getting slightly faster over time. But as I want to mix it with other songs, I need it to fit the beatgrid perfectly.So what I am looking for is something like Logic Pro's Flex Time tool. Running off of a new machine. At first I thought it was an issue with the hard drive not reading fast enough but I've tried experimenting with that to no avail. I then figured it was a performance issue with a bottleneck somewhere but I installed CS6 and that runs perfectly with no hangs whatsoever. I've already gone through every possible latency/performance option in preferences. No idea what to do next. What could be causing this? Any assistance greatly appreciated!

Since I installed CS6 from its original discs onto my iMac, I’ve had no problems until El Capitan and Sierra. They have been giving me trouble, specifically with Audition. Every time that I try to open Audition CS6 in any of the newer OS, it crashes, quits unexpectedly before opening, and gives a problem report with very lengthy details. Can anyone please help? I’ve tried everything from activating the Audition CS6 exec in Terminal to downloading a legacy version of Java, and nothing works. The program still crashes on me and seems to only work with the Yosemite OS.

Can Audition "delete" portions from a track that are below a certain volume level? For instance: if I have an interview track, I'd like it to get rid of all the quieter moments so I can freely move the other pieces about. Possible?Thanks!
